@@MhiGh-kl3jb make sure your character has unlocked at least inferno 1 difficulty. If you farm in this difficulty you should be able to drop all the core essence from any monster there
@@Kat0717 Just wanted to mention that this isn't a PvP build (or at least I did not make it with the intention of PvP). I would suggest to look at your armor stat and look to improve it if you can. The higher you can get it the higher damage reduction from blocking % you will have. Simply click on your armor in the inventory chracter stats and the game will tell you how much of this bonus you have. Once you get this to a decent enough number you can focus on improving other stats to optimise your DoT damage. Unfortunately ranged classes like Wizard don't benefit from the extra damage reduction that melee classes which makes them squishy in comparison
@Mao_DI yeah, it's great for pve. I tried it in pvp and way to squishy with the disintegrate however with meteor if i used increased damage for the wind they were dying almost instantly. I went all armor and potency it's a killer but I need that extra protection, I think if I could get enough shields it might be viable. I use to do a battle mage style build when the game first launched, it was great until they nerfed the wizard.
@@Toom-cm3oh Thanks for sharing! 🤩 The most important thing is 16-17% cooldown and awakening on the outskirts essence so you have 30% cd on Nova and Arcane wind. This will also boost your damage more

Thanks so much for this build! I have a F2P wizard alt who just barely has the cr for I2. She doesn't have any of the new essences, so I popped this build on using the two substitutions you suggested, entered an I2 terror rift and... it worked like a charm! I mean it's a lot of button spamming, but the build works great! Edit: Removed a paragraph talking about how Arcane Wind didn't seem to trigger the movement speed boost. But now it's working. Strange.
This is an AWESOME build dude. Just tried it with only 2 star gems in my build as I play F2P and only have my armor and weapons up to level 13 and it STILL does great. good job with the build man.
It's great to see you post about this build! I was using it for hordes the day the patch came out that buffed all of the essences and a warband member ended up figuring out that it was insane for dps, and we've been having so much fun using it for a lot of stuff. I have personally been using Blood of the Wind instead of Frenetic Spark (or Unrepentant Gale) and Hastened Oblivion instead of Galebringer's Leggings. I definitely recognize the point of only Roiling for burn and needing to hit enemies for Hastened cdr, but from what I have noticed, neither are really that big of a deal. No burn isn't losing that much overall dps and the burst is just so much higher that for things like dungeons and raids, it's well worth it (and just straight up dmg tests). Hastened works to make up for Frenetic and make spam much easier and even a bit faster since it reduces disintegrate's cooldown by so much that it's essentially only needing you to use one other skill to be able to cast it again. Astrum has a use even though it has lower dmg output, i've found that it works quite well for open world farming and even dungeons to clear the screen faster due to much larger range. And it's just fun to see like ten Astrums zipping about. The offhands and pants are mostly personal preference imo and don't have major impacts on the overall performance of the build from what i've seen (ignoring burst dmg with Blood of the Wind). It's been an absolute blast using and even testing things with this build and i'm still not quite done with testing over a week later XD Just two last things - I didn't notice you mention it in the video (I might have missed it), but positioning is extremely important with this build if you're going for single target damage. You MUST be very close for the build to perform anywhere near maximum potential but you can't be too close. This is due to the bounces and the way they work (which is the buff that made this dps even possible) - have to be close for them to bounce between you and the target/enemy as many times as possible but too close and it just gets wonky and flies far out. It's also fun on the dummy since it's possible to bug out awind and disintegrate so that they just keep going indefinitely and hit/fly much faster than normal, leading to ridiculous results (they will go away if you cast the skill again though). For the other thing, have you tried using 4pc grace instead of 4pc banquet? 4pc vithu is definitely required unless you have 4pc of the lightning nova eternal affix.

Blood of the wind is very good but for me it did slightly less DPS but I think this would vary from person to person so I had to mention it. As far as positioning, you are absolutely spot on. It is pretty important for damage tests or single target to get the most out of this build and something I forgot to mention. As far as sets go, 4 Vithu + 4 Grace or 4 Angment performed worse at least for my setup. 4 Barons was decent but 4 Banquet performed the best for me
@@Mao_DIhey I just watched this and finished watching your other recent wizard build video. They both look fun and worth trying! One of the things I was going to comment on was exactly that: trying 4 grace over 4 banquet. I am surprised that you performed better single target with 4 banquet, given how few banquet stacks you were getting. Perhaps the ideal set combo would also be different if you used no dot gems aside from roiling consequence, instead stacking mostly gems that directly increased your %crit and %damage, possibly along with wolf heart. I know you mentioned you had gone back to all 5 stars to push challenge rifts, but you know the best dps gems including 1 and 2 stars.
@ShimshonDI yeah, this is my problem for a lot of builds. Because I'm not using mother's lament and roiling (non-aux). It always seems like sets which give crit chance like banquet or gloom are overperforming vs other sets. Grace has high potential for a build like this and would perform way better for players with more optimised gem setups than me
@@Mao_DI Yeah grace performs way better for me (banquet drops several hundred thousand dps), but it's always nice to be reminded that almost everything isn't a 'one size fits all' kind of deal. And it's very interesting finding out where the lines and gray areas are!
Holy crap! One major point!!!! You have to use the primary skill to really crank up the DPS. I was sitting just over 1m/sec and couldnt figure it out. Then i added in spamming the primary attack and it cranked me up over 5m/sec easy.
Yes, I mentioned this briefly at 11:29. As another user mentioned positioning of your character is also very important for dummy/single target dps so that you get projectiles bouncing efficiently. Glad you got it working! 💪
Actually, as an alternative, have you tried the harbinger paragon tree for max dps? Get the crit chance based on movement speed skills, so you don’t have to throw in primary attacks just to build and maintain weaver stacks. I haven’t tried that yet, but my Warband raids are about to start. Let’s see if I have time to choose good harbinger skills and test it!
Hmm on second thought, I don’t see anything useful for this build for raids other than the 14% crit chance from 70% movement speed. I’ll be switching to tempest next, though, so I’ll be on the lookout to see whether I can get higher dps from harbinger than slinger on tempest.
@@ShimshonDI I didn't try harbinger on Wizard outside of BG. I did try it with a similar build to the recent Tempest build I featured on my channel and it gave me less DPS compared to weaver (slinger). My gems are half-optimised at best so it is still worth trying though. A few people have told me they are able to squeeze a bit more DPS with harbinger 🤷♂ As with all my builds I always like to test multiple setups and check out what's already on youtube or what's recommended to me by others before making my own video. Admittedly what ends up working for me doesn't always work best for others and might require a few tweaks. With that said I'm still glad for those that take the time to try out my builds and give their suggestions and improvements. Will be interested to see how your testing with the Tempest goes 😏

I finally have all the essences for this build, and reviewed this video. I decided to try auroth’s terminus facade build first, which solves things for using teleport efficiently, but I can see yours will probably do more dps. Looking forward to trying yours now!
Omfg at 3.8k reso and experiencing bad latency, I was out dpsing a 9.9k tempest back to back in random dungeons. I was also out-dps’d by a 2.7k reso Crusader running auroth’s updated max dps build lol. It goes to show how much class and build trumps reso, at least in pve.
Been using this build with 6 essences (Without Radiant and Unrepentant) and it still works pretty well. Good damage even though i am a low spender in the game. I have since ditched my barn to play this wiz. 1 thing though, your right thumb definitely feels it especially when you use this build for farming..lol
Thumb pain? A small price to pay for UNLIMITED POWER!! Jokes aside though this build is super fun and strong but definitely needs some hardcore button mashing. I've been using it for everything PvE and the damage has been especially noticeable in dungeons and Trifts. When my fingers get tired I usually switch to the more chill build I covered on my channel before but it does feel a little weaker...
Have been working on this build for a week now, still hunting for my splines, using Lost Seconds just to make up for my complete lack of cooldown reduction, but I’m ftp and my CR is 36K and I get 1.2 mil per second already. Running tons of dungeons in search of that cooldown and splines
Free to play players are basically useless in inf 3. They are upping the hp from enemies by alot. Si basically either u buy runes and invest in gems or ur going to end up leaving because u gonna feel like u die pretty fast and u don't deal any damage. Specially if u are new to the game. The gap between f2p, new players vs old players and high reso will be too much foe pve which was the thing that was promised to be f2p friendly
If you are an active F2P player and have the required combat rating or close enough for Inferno 3 as well as proper cooldown % then I think it's worth giving this build a try 😏
I'm F2P and can play in I3. However, nobody can even equip I3 gear right now. The current paragon level corresponds to I2. By playing in I3, Mao demonstrates that the build works even against monsters a difficulty higher than we're at, so it's not a function of Mao simply having better gear than everyone else. An average F2P player should be able to use the build just as easily against the I2 mobs that most people are going against right now.

There’s no real reason to be playing in inf3 right now this early . Most of us are in inf 2 and newer players and f2p players are doing just fine along side us

Since my next plan is to class change to wizard to correct the new essence since this round essence seem to be the essence im waiting for for so many round essence release as previous round of ice theme is a disappointment. Gona try some of the new essence combo with old essence for the result i want Currently collecting essence for necromancer almost done left with the chest essence. Im sure the new essence when combo with some old forgotten essence it will work like charm😊. Like the necro some long forgotten essence that people nvr use this round when combo with new essence suddenly become insane build😅.
I did 1.2m/sec with this build and do 1.8m/sec with the latest shock Slow time "new" (depends when you read this) items. Cool idea for a build but I get better results with a less "spammy" build :)
@@Niphrentil Yes, I also tested the shock essence and it's indeed pretty strong! Glad you found what works for you 🤩 I've found when testing this spammy build on dummy it can be a bit hit or miss since projectiles in general can be a little buggy and dependent on your character's positioning relative to the dummy. Barb also has the same issue with a lot of the projectile skills (Cleave, Chained Spear). It seems to be mostly an issue on the dummy though so I usually try a few tests when the build includes projectiles to find the accurate damage. From my experience in normal gameplay this doesn't seem to be a problem
@@Mao_DI It's more of an issue how the game handles skills rather than anything else. This game runs the skills on the server instead of locally to register damage, thus many skills are "hit-or-miss" (like the teleport bug where the game shows a stack of TP but when you cast it, your character doesn't move because the server has 0 stacks on that skill). On Diablo 3 i.e. (which is the "father" of this game) skills are run locally so spam builds like Tal'Rasha's meteor build, which also required button spamming, would run much MUCH smoother. It's a great build in terms of "what if the game run properly" but with all the lag issues, spamming so many skills so fast isn't "viable gameplay". Of course, that's just my opinion, maybe you and others can actually play with this! :)
The only real required piece is the helmet. I gave some suggestions for other essence to use. Watch the full video and you might be able to get something to work with what you already have. You can also use Astral feather mainhand if you don't have Mistral rend for Arcane Wind

That's a decent build. 2 essence I would consider changing are Fractured Footsteps and Rampant. I would take Hastened Oblivion pants (to have 100% uptime of crystalline shadow) and Sprightspark for the chest (to have better mobility). Rampant is good for DPS test though I think the new chest essence I used in this video mt is even better imo. For more Crits you should consider Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament gems as well as getting Zuh runes on both of your offhands. Other than that prioritise Critical hit chance % magic attribute rolls on all of your weapons, helmet and shoulders slots. Good luck!

Monk is probably the class I have least playtime on. Though I do have Mastery 4, I don't have any of the lastest batches of essence. I will definitely get to it eventually but not sure if it would be so soon ❤️
@@Mao_DI I’ve been playing Monk since launch and would love to try out other classes, but like you mentioned, the idea of farming all the essences really turns me off. What the devs should do is give us all the essences, but mastery of those skills would require farming.

Hi Mao could you answer a question please? I just class changed from my Barb to try out a fresh class but seemed to have lost my x4 max cards of essences so have to start again with 0 …does that sound correct? I’m looking forward to trying this build out 🎉🥳
You mean the level 4 essence mastery? Yes, this is correct if its your first time playing a class. You start from level 1 again for each class. If you switch back to barb you will have level 4 for it again. Mastery is saved per class so once you get level 4 on the new class you will have it forever

@@craigdaly5111 yes, the best thing you can do is save up a few mystery legendary items from event rewards and such then claim them all on the new class once you switch. Also rite of cleansing (flora) gives 1 legendary item per completion. Also save your daily gambling 25/25 and gamble till 5 left on the new class. The good thing is there is no cap to reach mastery 4 so as long as you keep turning in legendaries you can reach mastery 4 in the same week. The biggest issue is if you need to help your clan in PvP events and such then it might be a problem
Thank you! In the future I hope to do so. Right now the PvP meta is a little opressive for classes outside of Barb/Tempest/Necro (with potency). I have been playing much less BG as of late and am focusing more on PvE and pushing paragon level this week until something changes

What if you're a new F2P player in Hell 1? Using this gear, 2 of the weapons and these skills, will you have a similar experience? Or do you need all 4 weapons and awakened gear? Do you have any videos for complete newbs?
Odd question, but do you know if keyboard macros are ban-able ? I’d like to macro the damage skills to a single key bind (easier to spam) on my keyboard but not if it’s ban worthy. Dont see a clear post from Blizzard/Netease
Any 3rd party program that gives a direct advantage over other players could be ban-able as far as I'm aware. With that said, I have heard of some people using a "numlock trick" in other diablo titles and not being banned but I won't condone this personally. Hey! I tried this build and though my stats are not seem to be much lower than yours I can just maintain 2-3mill damage/sec. My cr is 40541, reso 4264, all slots awakened, 4 vithuu 4 banquet, charm 2% all skill for this build (except 8% arcane wind), base crit chance: 28%, sec stats: 4-5k (armpen 5k), leg gems: r6 bsj, r6 bh, r6 roiling, r6 void spark, r6 starfire, r6 phoenix, r5 bile, r5 echoing shade, reforge: 8*1,5-2% skill damage, 8*2,5-3% ben. eff. duration, 8*1-2% att speed. What could be the reason for this huge difference of dps? Also what curses do you use for this build? Thx in advance!
@@B3yond3r-i1dsavior is must-have on a PvP companion, but lingering wounds (ideally on a broodtalon or skitterwight with high insight) is just as important for a pve companion. Lingering wounds is potentially the highest armor break in the game.

One thing i want to know.. how ur secondary stats on inf3 brother .. is that your stats is above or lower in inf3? Because as a new player i cannot get that kind of damage output if i'm lower sec stat level in one difficulty.
Armor 4.1k, Armor Pen 5.5k, Potency 4.5k, Resistance 3.3k. They are all above requirement for inferno 3. Considering I have not spent any real money on them and cap my lairs and daily gems every week since release.. I would say they are average/slightly above average for someone playing daily since the game has been released
Yes, this is something really hard for players to catch up on especially F2P players and it can can be even more important than resonance just to reach the requirement on new difficulties. Good luck!

seems like it doesnt work anymore, got 20% cd reduction but i cant get 100% slowtime uptime, i even use lost seconds to maximize cd reduction on the slow time, cant wrap my head around it.
You probably have low beneficial effect duration if you aren't able to maintain 100% uptime of slow time. 20% cd is more than enough. Suggest you try to roll 2-3% on each legendary item reforge. This video might be helpful to check out ua-cam.com/video/fzNSfxFtVYI/v-deo.html
@@Mao_DI i somewhat fixed it with more beneficial but cooldowns were broken on eu servers lately, seems like they fixed them in the last patch, my barb was unable to had 100% uptime of wrath also, now is everything fine.
I’d rank berserkers eye above power and command for sure with this build, as it barely uses any primary attack, so you’ll only be getting much benefit from p&c half the time.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I'm not able to get this build to work as well as shown. I have all the same essences equipped. I think the only main difference is my head and shoulder pieces are not awakened. For some reason I can't seem to get to three orbs from lightning nova circling and at some points I get stuck where all skills are on CD. Any suggestions?
What's your CD like? You need to have 100% uptime of slowtime (so helmet might be relevant to awaken. but I think with enough beneficial affect you wouldn't need it). After that you also want to reach 30% CD cap for Arcane wind and Lightning Nova. I would recommend at least 15% base cd on your character sheet. You can get cooldown magic attribute roll on amulet, gloves and both rings, you can also get it from legendary runes or awakenings. Shoulders awakening is not important as it only gives disintigrate damage %. Getting the correct CD rolls is event more important than using the correct sets for this build in my opinion so don't be scared to use suboptimal sets with cooldown rolls until you farm the right sets with good rolls
@@Zack-mans No problem! Another place you can get CD/Beneficial duration is the runes in the helmet and shoulders slot. These effects only come with yellow or legendary runes. They weren't mentioned in this video as they hadn't been released yet at the time

Mostly Paragon 300 (inferno 1 essence). There are a few Paragon 400 items (Inferno 2 essence) but they are not required to get the core build working. What's more important than level is your combat rating. If you can farm Inferno 2 essence and find one then you can inherit them onto your gear without being Paragon 400
You're right, I went over gauntlet build in my previous video. I linked in the pinned comments. You could also do a variation of this build with Halestone essence and drop disintegrate. You will be able to spam shields but the damage won't be as effective
@@Mao_DI in gauntlet survivability is more important so you can carry the team and finish gauntlet. Anyways, for PvP wizard still underwhelming hence am switching to tempest which is the best class in my opinion.
Helm essence is Terminus Facade. It's a core piece of the build, without it the build won't function. It's the first essence I went through in this video

You mean the graphics shadow effect? I play on the PC version of the game and have that set to Low. Actually all of my settings are set to Low almost all of the time since my PC is pretty old
As long as you defeat the final raid boss of Inferno 2 you will unlock Inferno 3 difficulty. Even if you are under paragon level If you farm in this difficulty all gear that drops will be p500. This strategy is usually referred to as pre-farming for the next difficulty. The idea is as soon as you reach the paragon level required for the new difficulty you can equip a good set of pre-farmed gear directly
Skill that apply shock other than the new slow time essence, is there any other wiz essence that apply shock? If there other I might able to modify my build. I find that run away lightning version work better due to range and extra charges. I modify the set to use 4 angment, 2 banquet, 2 urge. 1100 reso melting cavent of echoes solo😊
Don't think there are many good options to apply shock. For now have to rely on other party members if you're not using that helmet essence. I do think it's highly likely they will add more options for us in a future patch
This is a very general question to ask on a build video but I'll try to answer you as best I can. Short answer is yes, but it depends on the type of player you are and what you are looking for Long answer, In PvE as a F2P you are able to progress ok with the way the game is designed (server paragon) you will catch up on levels extremely fast so you can be the same level as them. Where you will struggle is catching up to the same difficulty of farming (Inferno 2 and 3). This will take a while due to combat rating requirements for each difficulty. No matter how skilled you are as a player if your combat rating is too low it is virtually impossible to play that difficulty solo. A new F2P player will struggle with these things to catch-up 1. Set and legendary gear (the gear your character equips). This is the main source of combat rating and is not something you can pay to get. The higher the difficulty your character can play the higher the numbers on the gear. This is why your priority should be to focus on this. For example you should focus on getting to Inferno 1 and farming there for a while to get decent gear from there until you can comfortable farm Inferno 2 2. Gear rank upgrades (completely F2P friendly but takes a long time to grind. Grind cannot be sped up because of spending money here. It also does have a catchup mechanic since new players get 2x material from salvaged items) 3. Warband tableu level (F2P friendly. Same as 1. As there is only 1500 warband points that you can get per week that you can use for 5 upgrades of the table per week. It has a catchup mechanic that each upgrade gives more points to your character. For example for a new player upgrades may give +20 points to their chracter until they catchup to the server whereas for me I am getting only +2 or +3 per week for the same amount of grind. Another thing to say is you can get warband points as a solo WB player from raids and normal mode every week but you wouldn't be able to reach 1500 points unless there is at least 1 other player in your WB afaik 4. Heliquary level. (very similar to 2. except it doesnt need a WB to progress). Having a WB just makes it a little easier. The important thing is to do raids 2x per week and with at least 8 members in the raid for double check rewards. It's not required but will make things faster. The lower your level the less points it costs to upgrade 5. Resonance (Legendary gems). I won't sugarcoat this. This is P2W. As a F2P it is completely impossible to fully catch up on these. Resonance is not really able to be farmed besides running rare crests and the very limited number of legendary crests you get per week in Elder rifts. Over time you might make it to 1k resonance, 2k or if you are really dedicated over 2-3 years then maybe even 3k. But anything over this as F2P is virtually impossible. The silver lining is that Legendary gems aren't the main contributer to Combat rating. They do provide a little combat rating but compared to gear it is a very small %. Resonance is essentially a life and damage multiplier for your character. Assuming you are someone who spends time to optimise their character and build...Even with low resonance you can have decent enough damage to clear most modes in PvE. The main problem is combat rating which you can get from other sources 6. Secondary stats (normal gems). This is also P2W since you can buy gems directly from the player market. Imo it is not as P2W as Resonance since you can farm Abyssal verge/Hidden lairs etc. Overtime you will be able to rank this up to get rank 4,5,6 and maybe rank 7. There are a total of 10 ranks for these gems and anything after rank 7 for a F2P player is almost impossible to get without spending or playing for 2/3years+. Luckily for PvE at least this isn't as important as combat rating but it is still important as you will notice your damage is very low without enough armor penetration and you will also notice you are more squishy than others without enough armor For PvP I would say that because 5. and 6. exist in the game then players could say it is completely P2W. But I want to elaborate further on this. We can think of PvP as 2 main parts: 1. Cross-server PvP e.g. Battlegrounds (has matchmaking) 2. Same-server PvP e.g. rite of exile (no matchmaking) For cross-server PvP since it has matchmaking then F2P might have an OK time. In about 1-50% of matches though you may get matched with whales (since there will usually be 1 whale on each team or 1 whale against 2-3 medium spenders). In those matches as a F2P you will have a very rough time. You might be able to play a somewhat of a support if your build allows it. But realistically you will end up being fodder for the whales in these matchups. For the other 50% or so of match-up these will probably be with lower resonance players or players closer to your bracket. In those match-ups it is a little more skill based and you may enjoy it. It is important for me to stress that for this type of PvP it is difficult for almost ALL players of resonance to maintain a 60%+ winrate. The match-making can regularly provide unfair matches also some players simply refuse to play or try if they don't like the teams For Same-server PvP for the top clans it is P2W imo as there is no matchmaking. Luckily unless you want to push to be immortals or care about having 12% Badges (for pvp activities) then this is not important and can mostly be ignored. As a F2P new player if you enjoy the core gameplay then I would recommend tha you grind to get to a decent paragon level that's as close as possible to the server paragon. I would always say to try to party up if you can find other kind players but this can be done solo if there is no one. Once there I would recommend you to try join a decent shadow clan. Preferablly one in the top 10 of dark clans. If you will be an active player then you can be useful in doing clan activities or playing in lower vigil of blades fights. You will also be able to make friends a little easier and seek out in-game advice. Good luck!

Interesting build but not to my liking. No team buff, little to no damage from primary attack, stationary and very "Skill throwy" and it does not utilize the new damage effect which is shock. But again, interesting build. 👍
Not stationary at all. Good kill through and seems to be faster that sprightspark. Problem I see with most other classes is they either do decent damage or they are fast. This build combines both.

@@MhiGh-kl3jb make sure your character has unlocked at least inferno 1 difficulty. If you farm in this difficulty you should be able to drop all the core essence from any monster there
with the new reset at Ibens sanctum what do you increase? I went high dot damage but very squishy with this build.
@@Kat0717 Just wanted to mention that this isn't a PvP build (or at least I did not make it with the intention of PvP). I would suggest to look at your armor stat and look to improve it if you can. The higher you can get it the higher damage reduction from blocking % you will have. Simply click on your armor in the inventory chracter stats and the game will tell you how much of this bonus you have. Once you get this to a decent enough number you can focus on improving other stats to optimise your DoT damage. Unfortunately ranged classes like Wizard don't benefit from the extra damage reduction that melee classes which makes them squishy in comparison
@Mao_DI yeah, it's great for pve. I tried it in pvp and way to squishy with the disintegrate however with meteor if i used increased damage for the wind they were dying almost instantly. I went all armor and potency it's a killer but I need that extra protection, I think if I could get enough shields it might be viable. I use to do a battle mage style build when the game first launched, it was great until they nerfed the wizard.

She doesn't have any of the new essences, so I popped this build on using the two substitutions you suggested, entered an I2 terror rift and... it worked like a charm! I mean it's a lot of button spamming, but the build works great!
Edit: Removed a paragraph talking about how Arcane Wind didn't seem to trigger the movement speed boost. But now it's working. Strange.

It's great to see you post about this build! I was using it for hordes the day the patch came out that buffed all of the essences and a warband member ended up figuring out that it was insane for dps, and we've been having so much fun using it for a lot of stuff.
I have personally been using Blood of the Wind instead of Frenetic Spark (or Unrepentant Gale) and Hastened Oblivion instead of Galebringer's Leggings. I definitely recognize the point of only Roiling for burn and needing to hit enemies for Hastened cdr, but from what I have noticed, neither are really that big of a deal. No burn isn't losing that much overall dps and the burst is just so much higher that for things like dungeons and raids, it's well worth it (and just straight up dmg tests). Hastened works to make up for Frenetic and make spam much easier and even a bit faster since it reduces disintegrate's cooldown by so much that it's essentially only needing you to use one other skill to be able to cast it again.
Astrum has a use even though it has lower dmg output, i've found that it works quite well for open world farming and even dungeons to clear the screen faster due to much larger range. And it's just fun to see like ten Astrums zipping about.
The offhands and pants are mostly personal preference imo and don't have major impacts on the overall performance of the build from what i've seen (ignoring burst dmg with Blood of the Wind). It's been an absolute blast using and even testing things with this build and i'm still not quite done with testing over a week later XD
Just two last things - I didn't notice you mention it in the video (I might have missed it), but positioning is extremely important with this build if you're going for single target damage. You MUST be very close for the build to perform anywhere near maximum potential but you can't be too close. This is due to the bounces and the way they work (which is the buff that made this dps even possible) - have to be close for them to bounce between you and the target/enemy as many times as possible but too close and it just gets wonky and flies far out. It's also fun on the dummy since it's possible to bug out awind and disintegrate so that they just keep going indefinitely and hit/fly much faster than normal, leading to ridiculous results (they will go away if you cast the skill again though).
For the other thing, have you tried using 4pc grace instead of 4pc banquet? 4pc vithu is definitely required unless you have 4pc of the lightning nova eternal affix.

Blood of the wind is very good but for me it did slightly less DPS but I think this would vary from person to person so I had to mention it. As far as positioning, you are absolutely spot on. It is pretty important for damage tests or single target to get the most out of this build and something I forgot to mention. As far as sets go, 4 Vithu + 4 Grace or 4 Angment performed worse at least for my setup. 4 Barons was decent but 4 Banquet performed the best for me

One of the things I was going to comment on was exactly that: trying 4 grace over 4 banquet. I am surprised that you performed better single target with 4 banquet, given how few banquet stacks you were getting.
Perhaps the ideal set combo would also be different if you used no dot gems aside from roiling consequence, instead stacking mostly gems that directly increased your %crit and %damage, possibly along with wolf heart. I know you mentioned you had gone back to all 5 stars to push challenge rifts, but you know the best dps gems including 1 and 2 stars.
@ShimshonDI yeah, this is my problem for a lot of builds. Because I'm not using mother's lament and roiling (non-aux). It always seems like sets which give crit chance like banquet or gloom are overperforming vs other sets. Grace has high potential for a build like this and would perform way better for players with more optimised gem setups than me
@@Mao_DI Yeah grace performs way better for me (banquet drops several hundred thousand dps), but it's always nice to be reminded that almost everything isn't a 'one size fits all' kind of deal. And it's very interesting finding out where the lines and gray areas are!
Holy crap! One major point!!!! You have to use the primary skill to really crank up the DPS. I was sitting just over 1m/sec and couldnt figure it out. Then i added in spamming the primary attack and it cranked me up over 5m/sec easy.
Yes, I mentioned this briefly at 11:29. As another user mentioned positioning of your character is also very important for dummy/single target dps so that you get projectiles bouncing efficiently. Glad you got it working! 💪
Actually, as an alternative, have you tried the harbinger paragon tree for max dps? Get the crit chance based on movement speed skills, so you don’t have to throw in primary attacks just to build and maintain weaver stacks. I haven’t tried that yet, but my Warband raids are about to start. Let’s see if I have time to choose good harbinger skills and test it!
Hmm on second thought, I don’t see anything useful for this build for raids other than the 14% crit chance from 70% movement speed. I’ll be switching to tempest next, though, so I’ll be on the lookout to see whether I can get higher dps from harbinger than slinger on tempest.
@@ShimshonDI I didn't try harbinger on Wizard outside of BG. I did try it with a similar build to the recent Tempest build I featured on my channel and it gave me less DPS compared to weaver (slinger). My gems are half-optimised at best so it is still worth trying though. A few people have told me they are able to squeeze a bit more DPS with harbinger 🤷♂
As with all my builds I always like to test multiple setups and check out what's already on youtube or what's recommended to me by others before making my own video. Admittedly what ends up working for me doesn't always work best for others and might require a few tweaks. With that said I'm still glad for those that take the time to try out my builds and give their suggestions and improvements. Will be interested to see how your testing with the Tempest goes 😏

I finally have all the essences for this build, and reviewed this video. I decided to try auroth’s terminus facade build first, which solves things for using teleport efficiently, but I can see yours will probably do more dps. Looking forward to trying yours now!
Omfg at 3.8k reso and experiencing bad latency, I was out dpsing a 9.9k tempest back to back in random dungeons. I was also out-dps’d by a 2.7k reso Crusader running auroth’s updated max dps build lol. It goes to show how much class and build trumps reso, at least in pve.

Been using this build with 6 essences (Without Radiant and Unrepentant) and it still works pretty well. Good damage even though i am a low spender in the game. I have since ditched my barn to play this wiz. 1 thing though, your right thumb definitely feels it especially when you use this build for farming..lol

I've been using it for everything PvE and the damage has been especially noticeable in dungeons and Trifts. Free to play players are basically useless in inf 3. They are upping the hp from enemies by alot. Si basically either u buy runes and invest in gems or ur going to end up leaving because u gonna feel like u die pretty fast and u don't deal any damage. Specially if u are new to the game. The gap between f2p, new players vs old players and high reso will be too much foe pve which was the thing that was promised to be f2p friendly
If you are an active F2P player and have the required combat rating or close enough for Inferno 3 as well as proper cooldown % then I think it's worth giving this build a try 😏
I'm F2P and can play in I3. However, nobody can even equip I3 gear right now. The current paragon level corresponds to I2. By playing in I3, Mao demonstrates that the build works even against monsters a difficulty higher than we're at, so it's not a function of Mao simply having better gear than everyone else. An average F2P player should be able to use the build just as easily against the I2 mobs that most people are going against right now.

Since my next plan is to class change to wizard to correct the new essence since this round essence seem to be the essence im waiting for for so many round essence release as previous round of ice theme is a disappointment. Gona try some of the new essence combo with old essence for the result i want Currently collecting essence for necromancer almost done left with the chest essence.
Im sure the new essence when combo with some old forgotten essence it will work like charm😊. Like the necro some long forgotten essence that people nvr use this round when combo with new essence suddenly become insane build😅.

I did 1.2m/sec with this build and do 1.8m/sec with the latest shock Slow time "new" (depends when you read this) items. Cool idea for a build but I get better results with a less "spammy" build :)

I've found when testing this spammy build on dummy it can be a bit hit or miss since projectiles in general can be a little buggy and dependent on your character's positioning relative to the dummy. Barb also has the same issue with a lot of the projectile skills (Cleave, Chained Spear). It seems to be mostly an issue on the dummy though so I usually try a few tests when the build includes projectiles to find the accurate damage. From my experience in normal gameplay this doesn't seem to be a problem
@@Mao_DI It's more of an issue how the game handles skills rather than anything else. This game runs the skills on the server instead of locally to register damage, thus many skills are "hit-or-miss" (like the teleport bug where the game shows a stack of TP but when you cast it, your character doesn't move because the server has 0 stacks on that skill). On Diablo 3 i.e. (which is the "father" of this game) skills are run locally so spam builds like Tal'Rasha's meteor build, which also required button spamming, would run much MUCH smoother.
It's a great build in terms of "what if the game run properly" but with all the lag issues, spamming so many skills so fast isn't "viable gameplay". Of course, that's just my opinion, maybe you and others can actually play with this! :)

The only real required piece is the helmet. I gave some suggestions for other essence to use. Watch the full video and you might be able to get something to work with what you already have. You can also use Astral feather mainhand if you don't have Mistral rend for Arcane Wind

You can get over 15M dps with this build. Use the 4 eyes/4 vithus with roiling, mothers, bottled hope and igneous. Did it with 4k res.

That's a decent build. 2 essence I would consider changing are Fractured Footsteps and Rampant. I would take Hastened Oblivion pants (to have 100% uptime of crystalline shadow) and Sprightspark for the chest (to have better mobility). Rampant is good for DPS test though I think the new chest essence I used in this video mt is even better imo.
For more Crits you should consider Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament gems as well as getting Zuh runes on both of your offhands. Other than that prioritise Critical hit chance % magic attribute rolls on all of your weapons, helmet and shoulders slots. Good luck!

Monk is probably the class I have least playtime on. Though I do have Mastery 4, I don't have any of the lastest batches of essence. I will definitely get to it eventually but not sure if it would be so soon ❤️
@@Mao_DI I’ve been playing Monk since launch and would love to try out other classes, but like you mentioned, the idea of farming all the essences really turns me off. What the devs should do is give us all the essences, but mastery of those skills would require farming.

You mean the level 4 essence mastery? Yes, this is correct if its your first time playing a class. You start from level 1 again for each class. If you switch back to barb you will have level 4 for it again. Mastery is saved per class so once you get level 4 on the new class you will have it forever

@@craigdaly5111 yes, the best thing you can do is save up a few mystery legendary items from event rewards and such then claim them all on the new class once you switch. Also rite of cleansing (flora) gives 1 legendary item per completion. Also save your daily gambling 25/25 and gamble till 5 left on the new class.
The good thing is there is no cap to reach mastery 4 so as long as you keep turning in legendaries you can reach mastery 4 in the same week. The biggest issue is if you need to help your clan in PvP events and such then it might be a problem

I’d like to macro the damage skills to a single key bind (easier to spam) on my keyboard but not if it’s ban worthy. Dont see a clear post from Blizzard/Netease
Any 3rd party program that gives a direct advantage over other players could be ban-able as far as I'm aware. With that said, I have heard of some people using a "numlock trick" in other diablo titles and not being banned but I won't condone this personally. Unfortunately It's pretty scarce to find any official statement or info about this or similar things from Blizzard, all we have is the ToS and EULA which I'll leave a link to:

Hey! I tried this build and though my stats are not seem to be much lower than yours I can just maintain 2-3mill damage/sec. What could be the reason for this huge difference of dps? Also what curses do you use for this build? Thx in advance!

@@B3yond3r-i1dsavior is must-have on a PvP companion, but lingering wounds (ideally on a broodtalon or skitterwight with high insight) is just as important for a pve companion. Lingering wounds is potentially the highest armor break in the game.

That just the ultimate skill. I rebound it to 'x'. You can get it by charging up by hitting things with your primary attack

One thing i want to know.. how ur secondary stats on inf3 brother .. is that your stats is above or lower in inf3? Because as a new player i cannot get that kind of damage output if i'm lower sec stat level in one difficulty.
Armor 4.1k, Armor Pen 5.5k, Potency 4.5k, Resistance 3.3k. They are all above requirement for inferno 3. Considering I have not spent any real money on them and cap my lairs and daily gems every week since release.. I would say they are average/slightly above average for someone playing daily since the game has been released

seems like it doesnt work anymore, got 20% cd reduction but i cant get 100% slowtime uptime, i even use lost seconds to maximize cd reduction on the slow time, cant wrap my head around it.

@@Mao_DI i somewhat fixed it with more beneficial but cooldowns were broken on eu servers lately, seems like they fixed them in the last patch, my barb was unable to had 100% uptime of wrath also, now is everything fine.
So Fang and power and command must have and berserker eye is just optional eh
I’d rank berserkers eye above power and command for sure with this build, as it barely uses any primary attack, so you’ll only be getting much benefit from p&c half the time.
On the other hand, the new 1 star that buffs only skill damage could be great in addition to berserkers eye.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I'm not able to get this build to work as well as shown. I have all the same essences equipped. I think the only main difference is my head and shoulder pieces are not awakened. For some reason I can't seem to get to three orbs from lightning nova circling and at some points I get stuck where all skills are on CD. Any suggestions?
What's your CD like? You need to have 100% uptime of slowtime (so helmet might be relevant to awaken. but I think with enough beneficial affect you wouldn't need it). After that you also want to reach 30% CD cap for Arcane wind and Lightning Nova. I would recommend at least 15% base cd on your character sheet. You can get cooldown magic attribute roll on amulet, gloves and both rings, you can also get it from legendary runes or awakenings. Shoulders awakening is not important as it only gives disintigrate damage %. Getting the correct CD rolls is event more important than using the correct sets for this build in my opinion so don't be scared to use suboptimal sets with cooldown rolls until you farm the right sets with good rolls

@@Zack-mans No problem! Another place you can get CD/Beneficial duration is the runes in the helmet and shoulders slot. These effects only come with yellow or legendary runes. They weren't mentioned in this video as they hadn't been released yet at the time

@@mulyanto7615 Chest and Nova mainhand Inferno 2. Other essence Inferno 1 and lower. You can play the build with a different chest and mainhand essence which are very old essence. As long as you can farm in Inferno 1 you will be able to get the most important was
what level to farm those equips?
Mostly Paragon 300 (inferno 1 essence). There are a few Paragon 400 items (Inferno 2 essence) but they are not required to get the core build working. What's more important than level is your combat rating. If you can farm Inferno 2 essence and find one then you can inherit them onto your gear without being Paragon 400
Where do u get the legendary essences?
Half of them from farming OW the other half from trial of hordes reward chests, level 10 battlepass reward & gambling at yakin

That wouldn’t work in gauntlet because of the lack of shield I believe and wizard still squishy.
You're right, I went over gauntlet build in my previous video. I linked in the pinned comments. You could also do a variation of this build with Halestone essence and drop disintegrate. You will be able to spam shields but the damage won't be as effective
@@Mao_DI in gauntlet survivability is more important so you can carry the team and finish gauntlet. Anyways, for PvP wizard still underwhelming hence am switching to tempest which is the best class in my opinion.

Helm essence is Terminus Facade. It's a core piece of the build, without it the build won't function. It's the first essence I went through in this video

As long as you defeat the final raid boss of Inferno 2 you will unlock Inferno 3 difficulty. Even if you are under paragon level If you farm in this difficulty all gear that drops will be p500. This strategy is usually referred to as pre-farming for the next difficulty. The idea is as soon as you reach the paragon level required for the new difficulty you can equip a good set of pre-farmed gear directly

Skill that apply shock other than the new slow time essence, is there any other wiz essence that apply shock? If there other I might able to modify my build.
I find that run away lightning version work better due to range and extra charges.
I modify the set to use 4 angment, 2 banquet, 2 urge. 1100 reso melting cavent of echoes solo😊
Don't think there are many good options to apply shock. For now have to rely on other party members if you're not using that helmet essence. I do think it's highly likely they will add more options for us in a future patch

This is a very general question to ask on a build video but I'll try to answer you as best I can. Short answer is yes, but it depends on the type of player you are and what you are looking for
Long answer,
In PvE as a F2P you are able to progress ok with the way the game is designed (server paragon) you will catch up on levels extremely fast so you can be the same level as them. Where you will struggle is catching up to the same difficulty of farming (Inferno 2 and 3). This will take a while due to combat rating requirements for each difficulty. No matter how skilled you are as a player if your combat rating is too low it is virtually impossible to play that difficulty solo. A new F2P player will struggle with these things to catch-up
1. Set and legendary gear (the gear your character equips). This is the main source of combat rating and is not something you can pay to get. The higher the difficulty your character can play the higher the numbers on the gear. This is why your priority should be to focus on this. For example you should focus on getting to Inferno 1 and farming there for a while to get decent gear from there until you can comfortable farm Inferno 2
2. Gear rank upgrades (completely F2P friendly but takes a long time to grind. Grind cannot be sped up because of spending money here. It also does have a catchup mechanic since new players get 2x material from salvaged items)
3. Warband tableu level (F2P friendly. Same as 1. As there is only 1500 warband points that you can get per week that you can use for 5 upgrades of the table per week. It has a catchup mechanic that each upgrade gives more points to your character. For example for a new player upgrades may give +20 points to their chracter until they catchup to the server whereas for me I am getting only +2 or +3 per week for the same amount of grind. Another thing to say is you can get warband points as a solo WB player from raids and normal mode every week but you wouldn't be able to reach 1500 points unless there is at least 1 other player in your WB afaik
4. Heliquary level. (very similar to 2. except it doesnt need a WB to progress). Having a WB just makes it a little easier. The important thing is to do raids 2x per week and with at least 8 members in the raid for double check rewards. It's not required but will make things faster. The lower your level the less points it costs to upgrade
5. Resonance (Legendary gems). I won't sugarcoat this. This is P2W. As a F2P it is completely impossible to fully catch up on these. Resonance is not really able to be farmed besides running rare crests and the very limited number of legendary crests you get per week in Elder rifts. Over time you might make it to 1k resonance, 2k or if you are really dedicated over 2-3 years then maybe even 3k. But anything over this as F2P is virtually impossible. The silver lining is that Legendary gems aren't the main contributer to Combat rating. They do provide a little combat rating but compared to gear it is a very small %. Resonance is essentially a life and damage multiplier for your character. Assuming you are someone who spends time to optimise their character and build...Even with low resonance you can have decent enough damage to clear most modes in PvE. The main problem is combat rating which you can get from other sources
6. Secondary stats (normal gems). This is also P2W since you can buy gems directly from the player market. Imo it is not as P2W as Resonance since you can farm Abyssal verge/Hidden lairs etc. Overtime you will be able to rank this up to get rank 4,5,6 and maybe rank 7. There are a total of 10 ranks for these gems and anything after rank 7 for a F2P player is almost impossible to get without spending or playing for 2/3years+. Luckily for PvE at least this isn't as important as combat rating but it is still important as you will notice your damage is very low without enough armor penetration and you will also notice you are more squishy than others without enough armor
For PvP I would say that because 5. and 6. exist in the game then players could say it is completely P2W. But I want to elaborate further on this. We can think of PvP as 2 main parts:
1. Cross-server PvP e.g. Battlegrounds (has matchmaking)
2. Same-server PvP e.g. rite of exile (no matchmaking)
For cross-server PvP since it has matchmaking then F2P might have an OK time. In about 1-50% of matches though you may get matched with whales (since there will usually be 1 whale on each team or 1 whale against 2-3 medium spenders). In those matches as a F2P you will have a very rough time. You might be able to play a somewhat of a support if your build allows it. But realistically you will end up being fodder for the whales in these matchups. For the other 50% or so of match-up these will probably be with lower resonance players or players closer to your bracket. In those match-ups it is a little more skill based and you may enjoy it. It is important for me to stress that for this type of PvP it is difficult for almost ALL players of resonance to maintain a 60%+ winrate. The match-making can regularly provide unfair matches also some players simply refuse to play or try if they don't like the teams
For Same-server PvP for the top clans it is P2W imo as there is no matchmaking. Luckily unless you want to push to be immortals or care about having 12% Badges (for pvp activities) then this is not important and can mostly be ignored. As a F2P new player if you enjoy the core gameplay then I would recommend tha you grind to get to a decent paragon level that's as close as possible to the server paragon. I would always say to try to party up if you can find other kind players but this can be done solo if there is no one. Once there I would recommend you to try join a decent shadow clan. Preferablly one in the top 10 of dark clans. If you will be an active player then you can be useful in doing clan activities or playing in lower vigil of blades fights. You will also be able to make friends a little easier and seek out in-game advice. Good luck!

@merkkino2229 this isn't a PvP build. For PvP current meta for Wizard needs heavy cc like arcane wind freeze to survive and it's very squishy unfortunately

Interesting build but not to my liking. No team buff, little to no damage from primary attack, stationary and very "Skill throwy" and it does not utilize the new damage effect which is shock. But again, interesting build. 👍
Not stationary at all. Good kill through and seems to be faster that sprightspark. Problem I see with most other classes is they either do decent damage or they are fast. This build combines both.
