Absolutely breathtaking. I one day happened across a photo of the Croatian coast, and I was floored by how beautiful it was. This brought about an exploration using Google Maps & Street views. It is exactly what I hoped it would be! A little bit Roman, a little bit of French Riveria. So beautiful - I can't wait to see more!
Guys, I started watching you several months ago and your vlog has turned into my favorite "show". Hope you can stay on the road indefinitely. Wanted to mention that my fiance and I had the good fortune of going to Moldova on a mission trip back in March. Despite being the poorest country in Europe it is a beautiful place and the people are wonderful. Perhaps your journeys can take you there since you're already in Eastern Europe.
Just read your monthly income report and want to promote it to others here. It's so incredibly detailed and invaluable to anyone else thinking of going a wandering. Plus full of really good money saving / making tips. People should sign up!! Thanks for taking the effort to prepare these!
I don't know how you guys do it! To be up all night then go wander - AND have to focus on getting great shots. Really loving seeing the Eastern European adventures... Thanks and keep on keeping on!
Hey got a plan for you after your international trip ends. Make a domesticate trip "A 50-states Travel" visit every corner of USA...... Keep up the great work. xoxo
I wouldn't mind going back to Croatia. I had a two-day pass while I was deployed to Bosnia & Herzegovina and spent it in Makarska, Croatia. it's very beautiful there.
So crazy to see the MSC cruise in your montage... And now getting sponsored by MSC.... Wooooooooooooowwwww ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ You both deserveeeeeeeee it.....
I found your channel about 2 weeks ago and I've seen every vlog since Japan! I was actually in Croatia (Dubrovnik, Hvar, and Split) about 2 weeks before you were! It is so cool to look back on my trip through your lens. I showed this video to my family so they could get a better sense of how beautiful Croatia was (I only took pics with my camera and was a solo traveller). Thanks for the awesome video!!!
Loved this episode! It's a gorgeous Saturday morning TX, and I'm binge watching Kara & Nate! laughing out loud that Nate listens to podcast, which I do also!!! good job on documenting the kiss!
i am really happy i found their channel and fell in love with them at the end of 2017 because if i would've found them during their 2016 Europe travels i would've never bothered to get to know them, they were so negative in these. No hate, just my opinion! I adore them now and they're my favorite travelers, thankfully people grow.
You guys are so much fun to watch! I can't wait to see Split one day. I still want to try the calamari because I don't see myself having first class lounge food in Sydney anytime soon. 😂
You did an amazing job really showing split, I loved it when I went. I ended up meeting some locals and they told us that is the palace(my airbnb was right maybe 20 steps from the center of it for 38 a night for a whole place to myself!!) But every back in the day used to live inside the palace. Then over time it has stayed that way and just added more outside of the palace as time went on.
Split is not at all what I expected! It looks more like Monaco, especially with all those fancy yachts. I can't wait to see what other kinds of food are available there. *fingers crossed for a food tour*
You guys should go to Pripyat and Chernobyl. It's not dangerous if you go into the exclusion zone for just a day, people actually live and work there, and not many world travelers can say they've been to Chernobyl. They have tours now, every day.
I have watched every single one of your videos in the past few days. Extremely entertaining to watch! Both of you are so positive that it cheers up my day. Anyways, if you guys ever come back to Singapore, let me know and I will get you guys up to the Infinity Pool and introduce super cheap and awesome food to you guys.
I know you guys love cheese. Have you tried the Pag Island cheese yet? It is amazing! We went to Pag Island because they are famous for their cheese, olives (we saw a 2000 year old olive tree!), salt and lamb...Four of my favourite things! I don’t think you have to go to the island to find the cheese. We ate at Hotel Boškinac which was fabulous but not easy to find. Cheers!
The best Calamari I have ever had was in Turkey on the Med/Aegean Sea...until i visited Chios. Chios is a Greek isle 30 minutes by ferry off the west coast of Izmir (Turkey). Ta Mularakia tavern is located in the city of Vrontados...a short ride from the city center. For the scenery alone, the Turkish/Greek Med is a breathtaking region indeed. Explore people...explore!
Ok, i just started to follow you guys, because of your Cape Town, South Africa trip (Im going in Dec.)...you guys are CRAZY AWESOME!!!! I don't know how you guys do it!
During peak season the crowds at that bell tower were massive, and there's only room for one at the tight part in the beginning so it would take so long to get down
I hope you have learned to do more studying before visiting countries. You don't seem to know what is there before you arrive. Split is an ancient retreat for a Roman emperor, Diacletian in 4th century. Fascinating place. There are always surprises everywhere you go, but knowing something of what to expect helps to keep you from missing anything. But then I only had one chance to see these places and I get the feeling you will return to all of them!
That's the locally rather well-known "Fife" tavern (pronounced "feefeh"). Its well known for its _decent_ food at affordable prices. Its like a cheap tavern place, where you can get a very decent meal for.. not a lot of money. Its not known for superb quality. For that you ought to have gone to a proper restaurant.. like a few just around there. I can only guess that the guy who directed you there was referring to some other place in the vicinity, or maybe he was just a very hungry tourist and enjoyed it for that reason... :)
The best calamari you'll have is at a restaurant called Ocean Basket that can be found in Cyprus and South Africa. You're welcome. They also happen to do the best sushi in the world!!! and baklava for dessert.
Interesting reading your income report on your website. Your PATREON earnings are PITIFUL though. I would suggest putting the Patreon link on UA-cam somewhere in your description. (You can always put it at the bottom (SHOW MORE bit) if you don't want it to be too in-yer-face). Realistically not many viewers are gonna go digging through that maze of a website of yours to stumble across that. Put it somewhere visible instead. Why make it hard for people to help you.
Normally I look the other way when I see couples kiss because I think it’s too intrusive of me to look, but I looked at the two of you 💋💏 and I have to say, that was very sweet and classy. I actually didn’t feel “dirty” watching it! Well done you too! Rofl 🤣
You came to Split and you don't know about Diocletian's Palace? WTH?! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diocletian's_Palace Oh, and that is a wasp, not a bee. Bees aren't carnivores.
huh, nothing personal... I'm so sorry that you missed so many really interesting things, but I hope you enjoyed - that's the most important! but, It is surprising in how much tourist traps you hoped in just a few minutes of your vlog that I have just seen. First of all, the best calamari are not those that are fried but grilled. It is totally different meal. The other tourist trap is typical assumption that Croatia is a nice coast only. Therefore, you were so surprised with Split and Diocletian's Palace. It is not without reason that Croatia has eight UNESCO World Heritages. And yes, you need a guide. What really surprised you - that people actually live in something that is 1700 years old - actually is the reason why this is protected by UNESCO. Other traps: you swimmed in Split!! in a big city! you've probably heard just about Dubrovnik before you came to Croatia, that's why you did another mistake in your plans and number of planned days in particular place... I just want that the others, who will watch your video will know that there are so many things and mybe they will do a bit more research or just ask locals, because #localsknow what is really worth to be seen All the best
Hahahaaaa all the seafod in croatia is frozen nobody goes fishing like before to get farmed fish is cheaper in the fish market in split than freshly cought fish from the sea the prices are astronomical, therefore all restaurant's are buying frozen food which is shame.
samra gafic I’m from canada and went to the Florida keys to a restaurant on the water and was excited for the fresh lobster 🦞 and when I asked if it was caught locally turns out it was imported from Canada lol cheaper which is sad
Don't listen to these two about the calamari, regardless of all there traveling and eating they still don't know much about food really and haven't developed a true palate yet, just the opinion of a ocuple from Tennessee who have been traveling for a couple years.
And you didn't mention at all the owner of the palace? Who was that guy? Ha? Just seafood is important! Ok. This deserves a big DISLIKE! Next time, try to mention the guy who made that palace, please.
Absolutely breathtaking. I one day happened across a photo of the Croatian coast, and I was floored by how beautiful it was. This brought about an exploration using Google Maps & Street views. Hello, fellow armchair traveler!
Guys, I started watching you several months ago and your vlog has turned into my favorite "show". Hope you can stay on the road indefinitely. Despite being the poorest country in Europe it is a beautiful place and the people are wonderful. Perhaps your journeys can take you there since you're already in Eastern Europe.
The cut scene kiss was so cute. Kara was so genuinely giddy. :-) I hope you guys keep that love alive for many years to come.
Ohhh that cruise ship horn😍 I could hear one of those right now
Just read your monthly income report and want to promote it to others here. It's so incredibly detailed and invaluable to anyone else thinking of going a wandering. Plus full of really good money saving / making tips. People should sign up!! Thanks for taking the effort to prepare these!
+Spoo P I know Nate really appreciates your kindness!!! He works super hard on the emails. Thank you for the encouragement :)
yes but they should just make that into a video.
not many people are gonna go searching for that.
i bet they hardly have any hits on their blog.
Kara and Nate You both work incredibly hard - getting out all these vlogs, all that editing. Really good editing too!
Keep up the great work. xoxo
3 years later and Covid-19 made this happen.
+Andy Lelong You predicted the future!
@@InternationalFeds We blame it on Andy with Covid 19:P
Three years later, they take your suggestion due to pandemic. 😂😂😂
fun how watching these older videos compared to the current ones shows how much they have changed (the way the talk and look…more sun spots lol)

I'm here watching your Croatia series while waiting for the new vlog, even though I already watched it before. =)

So glad you liked my home country
This place looks gorgeous!
Nate, beautiful sun stars in shots from Bell Tower at sunset
You guys are so much fun to watch! I can't wait to see Split one day. I still want to try the calamari because I don't see myself having first class lounge food in Sydney anytime soon. 😂
you guys make great vlogs. I havent binged watched travel vlogs in a while
Love watching your Croatia videos! We were supposed to be leaving for Zadar tomorrow. Love still getting to see it even if it's not in person!

Croatia is a beautiful Country.
And the city of Split, Croatia is a very beautiful and fascinating city.
Thanks for helping me fix the issue with the Flight Deals!! Have fun in Croatia!
We have not received previous emails from you, but just replied!
Now I'm craving fried calamari from Maggiano's on West End. They have THE BEST!
Split is not at all what I expected! It looks more like Monaco, especially with all those fancy yachts. I can't wait to see what other kinds of food are available there. *fingers crossed for a food tour*

Absolutely loved this! You guys are such a huge inspiration to me, I just posted my first vlog from Split and posting the next one tomorrow!

I never even heard of Split until this video and now I want to go there!
The picture of Kara at 7:01 was stunning. Great shot
Perv!
I can't believe that I sat in the same spot as you and had the same calamari dish! It was so goooooood.
Krka National Park is a must see! I swam in the lake there last year in September and it was the highlight of my trip to Croatia!
+Bonny Schnei you're right it was amazing!!!
I know you guys love cheese. Have you tried the Pag Island cheese yet? It is amazing! Phil B I live on Chios, the northern end, for about a month every summer. I agree. The best calamari is there!
Ok, i just started to follow you guys, because of your Cape Town, South Africa trip (Im going in Dec.)...you guys are CRAZY AWESOME!!!! I don't know how you guys do it!
Dubrovnik and plivitce lakes are must see places
I am not sure about Dubrovnik but Plitvice lakes are great. I was 2 times and I want to go again. Did you visit any other city?
During peak season the crowds at that bell tower were massive, and there's only room for one at the tight part in the beginning so it would take so long to get down
+cron423 I'm sure it is!
Split suddenly looks more intersting place go to already. :)
Great editing/camerawork.

I think the place in Split you were wondering about was the Diocletian's Palace.

I'm allergic to calamari. And shellfish. You guys eat a lot of it. I can only eat fin fish.
Europe is jamed with history some of those towns were there when Christ was born
