Hero (or slasher villain) Redman returns in Matt Frank's comic book series - Redman: The Kaiju Hunter. What's the verdict? [Review requested by user Yolanda Castro]
I know Matt, we spent hanging out every time he drops by my local conventions and met him just as he was getting started with the Godzilla comics. He had told me as he was working on the comic, once it was officially announced. That there was already backlash in Japanese twitter, felt that an American artist wont convey the aesthetics or designs that Japanese readers would like and ultimately hate. Once the cover art was released, nothing but admiration from Japanese twitter flooded towards him. Mainly due to him wanted to draw Redman looking like he had a under budget costume. Eith the flaps and rolling of the clothing. They absolutely loved the art lol
I hope we get to see more Tsyu-Pro series reviews from you. I can't wait to see your reaction to Ultraman Max because it was done by Kaneko (the Heisei Gamera guy)
Interestingly in the previews of Volume 2 it shows a blue Redman which could be a different remember of Redman's race or could just be him & it just ties to his dark figure. I really liked the comic and really the only gripe I have is that they could have used the old designs of the show as nightmare fuel or they could have used it more in a way similar with Kanegon.
First off, I probably spent the better part of tonight binging your kaiju content. It's very good. Well executed voice over work and editing. I posted a journal up on my DA account and will probably work in a shoutout in a future article for the Kaijuden group on DA there as well. Hopefully it will give you a little traction. I am honestly astonished that you don't have more views. The name is Earthbaragon on there btw.
It might be the 1st ever live action sci fi fantasy crossover tv series because in the 60’s they we’re all cartoons and claymation I hope there might an english dub to the show
