Hey Mark, apparently they have renamed Malaga station Ballajura station on the ellenbrook line. But you're a very resourceful young man and probably already knew that.
Some trains have a defect in their motor that make them sound like that in specific carriages at specific speeds, although I've noticed they can be fixed too since 94 used to sound like that and doesn't anymore. Enthusiasts call them "plane sets" since they almost sound like a jet plane. I think it's really cool to have some variety to the sound and it sounds so much better than the normal acceleration and deceleration sounds.
