+401stTFW Hi, I don´t know where you are from, but just let you know the military base is not closed. it´s still opened and working, and it actually has a lot of activity ;)
Javier RA Closed, as in the USAF is no longer based there. The USAF left in 1992. But of course the base is still used by the Spanish air force and transient air forces alike.
it makes sense though since IAG owns both Iberia and BA, London and Madrid being huge cities and the hubs of both airlines there's going to me a lot of traffic between this cities now.
I don't know this is not a daily flight in this plane, but British Airways has daily flights to Madrid with a 767-300ER also a big plane. They are both part of IAG..maybe that has something to with it.
Leyordy AirCraftSpotterAndLover because of the amount of passengers... also its codeshares with british airways. so even more passengers so it uses the long a340-300 or 600. British Airways Club Europe flights i believe the majority of them are done with 767-300s
I don't think they're as arrogant as you all describe them. I've always perceived them as friendly. On the other hand, on BA the closeness and friendliness seem to be inexistent.
Yeah they're definitely no where near as good as BA... who themselves aren't on a par with the likes of EK/SQ. I found all IB staff that I encountered weren't overly warm - right from the ground staff to the cabin crew.
Totally true! But I don't get their arrogant attitude. As you said, they're a laugh compared to EK/SQ. EK is flying more and more destinations in Europe, so shouldn't Iberia staff make up their mind at this point?
The 'welcome announcement' of the crew doesn't sound welcoming at all. I can't believe that managers of Iberia watching this video can agree with the announcement made by the crew. Iberia isn't in a position to offer this level of service. Horrible airline, I feel sorry for British Airways.
Dont listen to one beneath here!!!Iberia is a wonderful airline.I travelled all my life with them and zero complaints!!!!
Yes, they have one flight a day operated by the A340-300/600. I've also seen thee new A330's in London also.
Long takeoff run! Excellent departure!
Great view of Torrejon AB @ 6:15. I was an F-16 mechanic there from 85-89. Too bad the base is now closed.

Para mi Iberia a sido la mejor compañía de aviones

this is cool !
Estoy mirando todo nunca vole me parece algo majestuoso ,quizas un dia y lo logre ??
Nice video, what was your seat ? :)
Why is Iberia using an A340-600 for such a short distance?

Yes, they use that plane to Tenerife North too.

Actually it seems to have something to do with cargo capacity.. the a340 might not be full of passengers but it certainly is loaded with cargo.
Espectacular...
Does this flight depart from T4S (M boarding zone) in Madrid Barajas Airport? Thanks!
I think so - the RSU gates.
A340 from Madrid to London?!
I guess every crew is different and everybody has different experiences.
I'm sure that was a 15L departure.

Found it ;)
