Unless you add suitable AHCI drivers to your XP CD, you would keep facing this problem and can't install xp in AHCI mode. I have got original AHCI driver which matches with my motherboard SATA controller but I am going to add generic Intel SATA AHCI driver so that it can boot up in any modern system which doesnt have support for windows xp.
I have the same BIOS list as you, but I do not have the SATA slot to change to IDE. What do you think is the reason?

Doesent work for me i have asus x550c laptop i3 3th gen i tried changing ahci to ide mode in bios it doesent work
