Nutella is Italian not German.. Ferrero its all over the world but born in Alba.. so if you want to taste the original Nutella buy the Italian one.

I do. I just use a knife and cut along the inner edge of the glass in a circle.

You can also just use your fingernail. Totally easy and you don't have to have long ones for that.

Nutella in Italian is different from the German and both are different from the French ... ecc.ferrero is not a jerk has done market research to fit every Nutella tastes of the country where it is sold ... ; )

As far as I konw, they are created by the german branch of Ferrero for the german market and just afterwards where brought to other nations. Therefore Ferrero can experiment in each nation the local tasts before selling it everywhere.

The german one should be less sweeter and is sold in northern europe. There is also a plant in poland, but I have never tested this Nutella.

German Nutella is Italian, I think they haven't factories in Germany...
Having tasted the same products in various countries there are real differences. Anglo's like their desserts and drinks sweeter. Germanics like their tastes richer. French folks like their tastes deeper.
So in the case of chocolate it means that the North American will have more sugar. Germanics will have more milk, and French will have more chocolate. Which tastes better depends on what you like more; sweet, salty, or fat...

In cologne is a chocolate museum with a big chocolate fountain and it includes the story of chocolate :) you can taste the chocolate there too :)

I recommend using a knife and do a full circle around the foil and then lift it out; trying to peel it off is a pain

Nutella is different in quantities of hazelnuts and sugar according to local taste! Actually Nutella in USA is very loaded with sugar.

This is exactly my experience! Wherever I go (last time Australia) the nutella from abroad is really different (taste, consistency, color). And I am almost always disappointed because my tongue is expecting something well known from home (I have been grown up with). So Ferrerro, why is that?
Needed to be a blind test, since you're going to be biased about a gift. "Sorry, your kraut nutella is dreck, thanks for nothing" was not an option

Eurocrem is much better than Nutella (which is totally overrated),i tried both,its from italy but also sold in other countries like ex jugoslavia.
Anyone here know the brand name of the (high quality) "Nutella look-alike" that Lidl sold until maybe 5-6 years ago (at least here in Scandinavia)?
It was delicious with 30% hazelnuts (13% in Nutella) as well as more chocolade and less sugar. The jar was the same style and size as Nutella's but with a green (instead of white) top/lid. Please help, I want it back so bad... :-/

Sarelle ( Turkish Nutella like ) better than all nut butter. Already Nutella use Turkish Nut and Sarelle product best quality Nuts of Turkey.

Yeah, there are two different kinds of Nutella. One is the Mediterranean Nutella and the other one is the german one. It's because of the different taste of people and because Germany has many different kinds of bread. I think Germany and Austria have the german Nutella and the other one the other kind of Nutella. Switzerland has both, I guess (not sure).
Buy Nuspli made by Zentis. It's similar to Nutella, but tastes like hazelnuts (Nutella is more chocolate based).
