I built one of these up to over 100hp proper sumo style. Fitted a rapidbike evo fueling module (bit of tuning totally removes the surging issue caused by the emissions limits in the factory map) , loads of carbon and Ti bits shaved almost 15 kg off in total. The throttle is all that is changed in the different modes. There is one map, 3 throttle response modes. R/ rain limits it to 1/4 throttle. Touring is full throttle but long travel. Sport is a 1/4 quick action throttle and is awesome for getting on the power fast out of a corner and precise fast blips on downshifts but makes cruising a chore as the bike always wants to get going haha.
Ah nice one! Sounds fun! Great bike actually! Really surprised me! But knew the brakes would be decent, great fun road bike to ride. Just the tank range is a bit small. Thanks for watching! 😁👍
It has Pipe Werx exhausts fitted. pipewerx.co.uk/webshop/aprilia/dorsoduro-750-2008-onwards/aprilia-dorsoduro-750-2008-onwards-pair-of-pipe-werx-powder-black-tri-oval-street-legal-exhausts/ Thanks for watching.
No, not ridden a shiver im afraid, same engine though. Suspect similar characteristics from the engine, but the Dorso is more like a super moto compared to the shiver being something more like a street bike, so a bit lower
How is the power of this bike? I now have a bandit 1200...is it something to compare? Or you dont know. The dorso 1200 is a bit to expensive for me atm.
Hi - The dorso is surprisingly comfy, albeit the seat is narrower and firmer than the bandit. (I had a 1200 Bandit myself many moons ago). Power wise the bandit has a touch more, 100bhp I think that is vs 92bhp of the dorso. You can be quite lazy with it for a 750 but it's also happy to rev. I think given the weight difference (about 28kg) the bandit obviously being the heavier, I don't think you'd find the dorso lacking. The dorso also handles really well.. Doesn't crab like the 1200 bandit does when you start pushing its limits. Tank range isn't as good though.. Circa 100 miles - hope that helps and thanks for watching. 👌👍
Yeah don’t really think it needed the riding modes. But like the Gsxr 600 and 750, I appreciate why manufacturers put it on there to use, but also it’s a bit pointless. In my opinion.
@@MadNath yeah, having ridden that it's the first Supermoto I've ridden and have to say... Something like that round the B roads I ride on, as you can see, is actually better than a sports bike.
Have a look at the MCN review, and check under "EQUIPMENT" where it confirms Sport, Rain, Touring ! www.google.com/amp/s/www.motorcyclenews.com/amp/bike-reviews/aprilia/dorsoduro-750/2008/

@@davidmortimer9071 nice! Sounds good without being offensively loud.
Ahhh the drum garage, saved me a few times running on empty.
Yeah, it's really handy! 😁👌👍
What is a drum garage?
@@jakaberdajs4378 it's the Drum of Wartle Garage in Aberdeenshire (Scotland)

Too tall for a 5’6” guy either 29” inside leg? I used to ride a Duke 690 no issues.
You can be 5’6 and have a long body and short legs though… it’s a rough estimate, that’s all.. anyone under 5’5 Just might find a struggle 😉👍
Might be a bit late but have u riden a shiver 750 and how does it compare to a dorosduro 750?

@@twistandgo3414 the DD has a earlier peak torque compared to the shiver, also the seating is different.

Hello motorcyclist where did you buy this beautiful sticker set
I'm not sure, was already on the bike.
Did he put a sticker kit on his bike?
Was like that when he bought it. Looked like it was.
Friends bike or test ride from dealer? I looked at 1 before I got my MT 07
Friends bike. Nearest Aprilia dealer is hours away...sadly.

Sport, road and track are the modes, should really read up on the bike before you review
Yeah probaby! but I didn't as it was a spur of the moment opportunity!
Maybe be best you go read up yourself, that was my bike and can assure you the manual read Sport, Rain and Touring
