You guys down south, some of the guys out west too, fish some absolutely gorgeous bodies of water, nice video bud, have a great rest of the season from R & J Bass Fishing
hay I live in the upstate above Greenville I use to catch lote of pickerel jackfish in the tiger river.several years after they built lake Robinson I caught one close to 6 lbs or better . Those were the days
Really like watching your stuff moved back about a year and a half ago. Really would like to do some fishing with you and thinking about starting a UA-cam channel think you can give me some tips?
raymond kapalka hey man, thanks for the kind words. I started make videos because I do some much stuff outside and go so many places hunting and fishing people would always ask me when I was going to get a hunting show. It’s all just about fun for me. Buy a couple cameras start filming and editing. You’ll learn what works for you and what you like in terms of camera angles and filming techniques. Just have fun with it.
Everyone in this portion of SC calls them jackfish. Honestly, I’ve never heard anyone around here call it a pike, haha. The actual name for the ones I’m catching is a Redfin Pickerel. Thanks for watching!
@@SClivingOutdoors the ones you were catching are chain pickerel. The Redfin also lives in the south edisto but they’re rare and they only get about 6-8 inches long max. Love your videos though and rewatch all the fishing ones this time of year cause it’s finally warm enough to start catching redbreasts good. I caught probably 100 today only kept the limit though. 13 jacks and a few bass
Any tips on where to launch from. From the upstate and don't know much about that part of the state but the redbreast are on my bucket list. Thanks and tight lines!
I'm sure there are some boat ramps listed on the SCDNR website, but what I would do is pull up google maps. Look for roads that cross over the river you are hoping to fish. On many of the small rivers like the South Edisto there are boat ramps beside/under many of the roads that cross over the river. Use the google maps road view and look and see if there is a ramp. Good Luck!
Been wanting get down there myself, going camping the middle of October at Oconee state park hit me up if your hunting up that way we'll go trout fishing
redwood1957 Thanks for watching the video. I don’t ever give out specific locations. There are landings all up and down the South Edisto river. I’ve had good success putting in from a bunch of different ones.
redwood1957 The South Fork of the Edisto River. The South Fork and the the North Fork come together a little above Branchville to make the Edisto River. We call those rivers the South Edisto, the North Edisto in the Big Edisto.
Kelly Peterson yup. I’ve fixed it like 10 times. I’ve had the kayak a long time and used it a ton. A lot of the places I fish require getting out and dragging the yak through rocks and going down through rapids.
That looked like a fun trip.
Enjoyed the video, SC is a beautiful place
Hunting and fishing on the same day makes for a great Saturday.👍
Nice fishing! I Luv the Blackwater rivers .

I grew up on the Edisto River. I'm from Orangeburg. There's no river like it.
It’s a great little river
ua-cam.com/video/j0JLu3NuJT4/v-deo.html Been fishing the Edisto since the 70's myself.

Is there a state park on the South Edisto, I have camped a Colleton state park and kayaked. would like to do the same on the south fork.
jeff hollis Aiken state park is on the South Edisto. The fishing for red breast is good in that area.
Gaffney sc here, ever do anything on the Pacolet river?
Jon Peeler I’ve never fished up in Gaffney.
Please show the bait you choose and explain why you chose it
David Daigrepont I use beetle spins. I put a use a special grub on that has legs.
Been wanting get down there myself, going camping the middle of October at Oconee state park hit me up if your hunting up that way we'll go trout fishing
S.Ccatfish - I appreciate the offer, but in October I’ll be in New Mexico elk hunting, home for a few days then up to Maine for moose.
Awesome looking forward to those videos.
nice man. you getting ready for teal yet?
shane mack I’ve never shot teal. I usually don’t mess with ducks until it gets cold and the deer hunting isnt as good
What size beetlespin were you using?
Roger Dickinson I’m not sure. Just a normal beetle spin, lol.
SCliving Outdoors Well they make 1/32 oz 1/16 oz 1/8 etc... I think you probably had a 1/8 or 1/16 on
Thank you When you say south edisto where did you put in at?
redwood1957 Thanks for watching the video. I don’t ever give out specific locations. There are landings all up and down the South Edisto river. I’ve had good success putting in from a bunch of different ones.

You got a leak in that kayak?
Kelly Peterson yup. I’ve fixed it like 10 times. I’ve had the kayak a long time and used it a ton. A lot of the places I fish require getting out and dragging the yak through rocks and going down through rapids.
The Edisto in Charleston isn’t great for red breast. Fish the south fork of the edisto. Way north above Charleston.
I'm learning rivers in school like if you are 3rd graders like me at midland
Leslie Graham Rivers are awesome. The ecosystem is really diverse. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for watching
Where did you put in @?
Mr0TRANT0 I try not to share locations in my videos out of respect for the people who fish there.
Every fish you catch is going to die when you put it back. Please be more careful. And don’t handle them that long
