I use a propane gas cooker out side with a fish fryer pan. I Fry them between 325° - 350° degrees. Keeping that temperature is the most important thing for me. I use Salt chilli power and Creole season with Louisiana fish fry mix. Serve with fries, hush puppies, slaw and a big slice of Georgia Vidalia onion. And Sometimes some lemon slices. Yum 😋
How refreshing to see someone enjoying pan-fishing the way I think we all used to love our first fishing trips with PawPaw, Unc, or your Barber (aunt's boyfriend ). Best video ive seen in years. Your youtube handle is classic 👍👍
Good video man👍🏼I was bored out of my mind then I seen a notification pop up with showing you uploaded a video and it turnt my morning around..have a great rest of your day and keep rippin lips!
Nice work ! Blessed up here in Michigan with an unbelievable amount of fish species avaliable, and IMHO nothing better than a fine mess of Gills. Especially through 2 foot of ice, best eaters ever.
When I meet people I ask “do you like to fish for bluegills?” If they say yes we are off to a good start as friends. 😂 Have fun everyone and be safe around water.❤️
Love seeing the Bluegill the size your catching, would love to come fish with you, I have some monster here in Virginia, I will see if I can match up if it will stop raining, love you videos.
9:08 that's very interesting, an old friend of mine used to do the same thing with a bucket, he drilled a few holes around it from the just below the rim of the lid to about just under half way down the bucket and when ever he used lived bait he would toss the bucket overboard (attached to a rope obviously) to keep his bait as lively and healthy as he could without them being able to swim away.
Hey man, you had ‘em down on one knee beggin. I was jealous of you catching those fine bream. It’s kinda hard on my old self gettin out on the water these days and workin on all the different kinda bream. I’m grateful I found your video. Takes me back a ways.
😂 Thank you Kenneth. These little guys sure can put up a great fight. I am glad you found some of the Video's. Lots of bream on the channel. bream and crappie are my favorite fish to catch and eat.
My first time seeing one of your videos. Really enjoyed it - you caught some big’uns! I have recently got “hooked” on fishing for these fighting bluegills but have never ate them. Our fresh water ponds in lower Delaware can be a bit dirty & murky and I’m not sure I would eat my catch. Fish on.
Thank you I am glad you are enjoying the videos. Love catching these bluegills they are super strong and are very tasty too. They are one of the my favorite fish to eat. As far as murky water super super muddy Water maybe not so much. may have a little off taste in that kind of water.
Im From South Louisiana", and I have done Both Saltwater" in the Gulf ,, and of Course Freshwater " for Bass,,, Crappie .... im 64 and there is nothing Better, Than doing Exactly" what you are doing...... What State are you in sir???? Absolutely Beautiful .... Looks a lot like Louisiana-Mississippi.....
May i ask why you use a jig head with live bait just wondering me and my brother this week have50 bluegills this week they wete on there beds here in Central Indiana
Nice 👍 glad you guys are Catching some good ones. Well slip bobbers are a very good way to see the strikes even if they're just barely nibbling. And I like a jig to hold the cork straight up and down. The other reason is I do not hardly ever have to use pliers to remove the hook. I use the jig head for a handle. Easy hook removal.
You ever just spit in the water and a bream hits it? That's when you know it's going to be a good day. I'm from North Florida/ slash super South Alabama
No sir, but I have heard plenty of tails about spitting on your hook to catch fish. Whatever it takes it's worth a try. that's for sure 😊 Alabama and Florida have some excellent fishing. I plan to make some trips that way one day soon I hope.
It's actually PVC pipe and has a toggle switch for my rear trolling motor underneath it. It also hides my wires to the switch. I Just put a fish measuring sticker on top.
We do have Gators all over Arkansas. But I have not seen one in the swamp yet. I do have to watch for snakes. They will attach to a fish if they get a chance.
The rod is a Shakespeare micro series light action rod 5 ft 6. The reel is abu Garcia Max x 10 light spinning reel with 6 lb test hi-VIs Mr crappie fishing line.
Yes, you are right. I remember my grandpa could name every single one. But not me. I normally call them bream but if I see a bluish gill plate, I usually call them a bluegill. but yes you are correct there are several different species out here.
Only issue is that fish isn't a bluegill it's called a sunfish a whole different breed same Geno 😂 it's kinda simple blue gill is a blue color hahaha sunfish have a yellow to orange throat
You know I like that sound! Beautiful looking bluegills, going to be some good eating!
Yes sir. Thank you Preston
Every single time we have a bluegill fry, it reminds me of how much I love them

do you have aligators around those swamp waters? if so,, do you not have a problem with them coming after your fish thats on that stringer?

I loved it!! enjoy those 4 me! 😊
Sure will. Thank you Mark
Nice bluegills ----- thanks for sharing. You ever anchor and fish in one spot for a while?
That's something I was thinking about doing. Maybe I can find a school of them bedded up. That would be fun.
Nice pan size brims 👌
