This is an interesting idea, especially if it leads up to the long awaited fracturing of the Alliance. It also has the potential for a new take on the faction conflict, but have as the Horde and a fractured Alliance vs the Light Empire and those who share its beliefs. Definitely curious to see what comes next.
In the original death knight starting experience from Wrath, the Scarlet Crusade holds an area on the eastern shore called New Avalon. In 2008, this was simply a reference to the Arthurian legends, in which Avalon is an island shrouded by mists where King Arthur is taken after his death to recover, until he may return to free Britannia from its enemies. However, this name may still hold a meaning to the people of Lordaeron. What if the name "Avalon" in WoW is the Arathi name for a mythical land across the eastern sea their ancestors heard stories about from the last vrykul guarding Tyr's Tomb? The vrykul in turn learned of this continent from Keeper Tyr, who called the land "Avaloren". If the theories about a lost Arathi Empire on the other side of Azeroth are true, I believe a few centuries ago, the Arathi king sent an expedition east to search for this mythical "Avalon". They somehow found the lost continent, and founded a new Arathi Empire. This empire discovered something called the "Holy Fire", and became more powerful and technologically advanced than any other human nation at the time. Yet for some reason, they stayed hidden in the lost continent for centuries. Merely 15 years ago, the current Emperor received a vision about the "final battle between the Light and Darkness", and sent an expedition that somehow got teleported to Khaz Algar, near the Light crystal they named "Beledar". Whether the new Arathi Empire will be a friend or foe, this story has a lot of potential.
Maybe pertaining to Anduin having used Shadowpriest powers during the Jade forest storyline? He casted fear to dozens of hozen, and mind control on a dwarf tasked to pick him up.
My humble theory is that what feels like 15 years for the Hollowfall expedition is really more like 1200 years. The emperor heard the voice of a fallen Naaru ship that is being contaminated by void entities which is the day night cycle and when they went to find it they were teleported into the future somehow.
this story would be an amazing turn and actually believable, which will make it more immersion building. i would love to see us find another "human ally" only to then find out they are corrupted and have to fight them.
That’s a big question. But nobody will know for sure before the Last Titan expac. If the Arathi live in Avaloren, then we know that the titans consider them as « heretics ». Why ? And there is that mysterious Ill’ginoth prophecy : « The golden one claims a vacant throne. The crown of light will bring only darkness. » could this refers to the emperor ? I don’t trust the emperor. I wouldn’t be surprised if, once the void repelled, he tried to reclaim the throne of the alliance as his own.
Ok first things first, the most important, Where do i sign up??? My paladin is ready to serve the Emperor! Second, I really feel like ressurecting Whitemane as a death knight was an lost opportunity, especially now, I wish they had let her be. It would have been so much better if this Light Emperor had ressurected her into the light or something like that, and have her be full on fanatical and once again lead the Scarlet Crusade in the Eastern Kingdom as one more fanatical wing of their empire to bring the empire to the eastern kingdom.
Finally, 'the guys that look like good guys so they must be the good guys right?' are finally going to have a villain arc. About time its not just another horde leader causing problems again.

I never loved the Scarlet Cruzade. However their origins are sad to me. The light Emperor, I hope will never be a xenofobic for Azeroth. It could be different to WH40K.
Knowing anything of human diplomacy, they most definitely consider themselves the legitimate owners of the Eastern Kingdoms and us at best their freeloaders vassals, and at worst, opportunistic thieves needing subjugated/colonized. 😅
We play as the good guys. Its more a matter of what we or the npc's do rather than which faction is the good one. You have people like Khadgar and Thrall who overcome the bonds of factions to do whats right when needed.
The concept of Horde and alliance should be scrapped entirely. I Just want to see every faction fight to better its own empire. Would be more fun instead of teaming up and always defeating a common enemy. Im tired of that plot type story telling. I just want to see warhammer 40k brutality. A death knight or undead shouldnt be living among humans. They should be fanatical zealots that spare nothing. I havent subbed after shadowland because of danucers writing skills. Knew it
What I find interesting though is that there is an entire "Light Empire" on Azeroth which is basically exactly opposite of where the Old "Black Empire" used to be :/
It's like Azeroth is just Ying-yang between Void and Light.
Maybe the discipline Priests where right all along :P
Lol its so funny how u r trying to make Light some kind of evil every new video lol, even though we haven't got any too much information about Emperor.. Yoy made him Evil 😂
light is good not evil.
Blizzard a new great lore that must be done with it
MY LIFE FOR AUIR!
and argus.
I never loved the Scarlet Cruzade. However their origins are sad to me.
The light Emperor, I hope will never be a xenofobic for Azeroth. It could be different to WH40K.
Racist empire with a black captain or general 😂 kinda funny when you think about it
Knowing anything of human diplomacy, they most definitely consider themselves the legitimate owners of the Eastern Kingdoms and us at best their freeloaders vassals, and at worst, opportunistic thieves needing subjugated/colonized. 😅
no.
will he calm down.
Kinda tired of there being no “good guys” in WoW.
We play as the good guys.
Its more a matter of what we or the npc's do rather than which faction is the good one.
You have people like Khadgar and Thrall who overcome the bonds of factions to do whats right when needed.
ofc evil. everything with light is evil. don't you read quests?
i hope they re evil honestly, it would be so cool, reminds me of warhammer
The concept of Horde and alliance should be scrapped entirely. I Just want to see every faction fight to better its own empire. Would be more fun instead of teaming up and always defeating a common enemy. Im tired of that plot type story telling. I just want to see warhammer 40k brutality. A death knight or undead shouldnt be living among humans. They should be fanatical zealots that spare nothing. I havent subbed after shadowland because of danucers writing skills. Lets hope this new writer does a better job ..... This game has potential.
do like how the empire of light is going to be full of black people and half black elfs now we know where all the black people in wow when to
Lmfao SJWoke Liberal Dream trash
Wakanda?
plagiarizing warhammer 40k much
Ew fanatic allies...
