    The aluminum angle is not cheap. A chop saw would be nice. If you clamped your round bar to the angle on both sides with a metal clamp might work too. So 2 peices of angle with a space between.

    That's actually a very relevant topic - more people should watch your video! A few tips though: a) bolt down your band saw ... b) "cut" sandpaper by scoring it from the rear with a (blunt) box cutter or a wood screw - this way it won't ruin your snips c) "lubricate" your bad saw with a WAX lubricant (like Tapmatic) - if you are in a pinch, you can use a candle (pull out the wick first!) ... d) use "proper" clamps (they are way safer) and make a small "V" block from plywood or delrin - will make clamping much easier!

    I was cutting a short piece of 2" aluminum and wanted a square cut. I clamped in a drill press vice and used the bandsaw fence to guide it. Problem is the old wood blade I had barely cut so I ordered a blade for metal. We will see if I can finish the cut. What blade did you use?
