I'm so glad I came across your videos..they are so relaxing to watch before I go to sleep..best way to unwind after a long day..I was watching another of your videos of the no.5 on Wattletree Rd.. I used to take that then onto the no. 69 along Glenferrie Rd to school..so good to see from the driver's perspective 💖
Hi Schony! Just wanted to let you know that there are some great places to get trainspotting photos at a bridge accessible at the southern end of Belair St. in Kensington. It’s just before Kensington station and Kensington siding. Also the crossing at the Royal Children’s Hospital. It’s a great way to see route 57, 58 & 59.
It's helpful for passengers to have the driver accessible to give directions, and not be locked away in a cabin. (Maybe not so helpful for the driver.) An interesting trip. The first part was new to me, but then I could almost name some of the streets. (Not bad for someone who has never been to Australia!)
Not bad at all Bob! As I tell people a drivers role is to get people from A to B in one piece. Customer service is an optional extra when it is safe to do so.
One of the coolest rides you've recorded so far. I really enjoy the atmosphere in this video. Keep up with your great work👌. Do you have a recording of route 16 available? I am really interested in viewing the entire route from start to finish.
5:50 is that track a little wonky, was the tram swaying a little? As I was worried that it might one day fly off while going round the corner, even if slowing down. Did they upgrade that section? Or does it still swaying like that? I haven't been on a tram for months, so I don't know if they're usually like that. And I don't think I have been on that part before
@@Schony747 As it happens, we've been having Spring-like weather up here in the last week or so, but, from reports, we're due for a cold snap. One last roll of the dice for Winter, ay? Cheers, Brenden!
Hi, thanks for sharing of your tram video so I watched video was good nothing must blurring really good so I may ask for your video to get remastered better quality video and what you think of? Cheer Peter ;)
Can you become Geoff Marshall 2.0 and give us a progress reports on the subway construction in the CBD? This trip on my way home to the USA I was able to arrange an unofficial ten hour stopover enough time to use the 901 and the craigieburn line to and from the cbd. I had four hours to walk and use transport in the cbd. I ve traveler all over the world , now three trip to Melbourne and their might be better cities , countries with better public transit than mel but none are more user friendly to regular user and to the visitor than Melbourne!, NONE!
Melbourne has a pretty good public transport system. It certainly has it's issues as our population grows and like all cities, the further out you get, the less public transport there is. I'm a big fan of Geoffs channel as well!
I always enjoy your videos Schony, seeing the people, places far away...thank you !
Thanks for coming for a ride 😀😀

Excwllent. Thanks for riding with me 😀😀😀😀
A very great Video!
The sounds of Combino is nice.
More please!
Greetings from Dresden, Germany.
The Combino is very nice and one of the more favoured low floor trams to drive in Melbourne. Thanks for riding with me 😀😀😀😀
@@Schony747 Like yoe the E class also?
great video Schony747 :)
Thank you 😀😀😀😀
I really like all of the private homes on the route.
Yes West Preston and St Georges Road still has a bit if character with the Californian Bungalow type houses.
I used to work on that route years ago as a conductor, brings back memories
Which route? 10, 11 or 12 and which depot?
It was mostly route 11 from West Preston from Regent st to Collins st and at night through to Fitzroy st. On no. 12. I worked from the Preston depot
thx for the nice relaxing video.
Thanks!

Thanks. I've photographed and videoed at both locations and both can be very good.

There's no chance the tram would have come off. D2 due to the fixed bogey can move about due to the track
Hi schony, greetings from Germany, why is the video on 480p? Thank you for uploading
Hello. This one was recorded in Mpeg so the resolution is lower than what you would normally see. Thanks for riding with me.
Aaaaahhhhh, a nice, leasurely ride on a Melbourne tram! Even though I'm several hundred kilometres away, up here in Port Stephens! LOL
I bet bit it might be a bit warmer up your way as well 😀😀

I know this one isn't the best resolution. It was one of my earlier views but I appreciate the comments. Thanks for riding with me.
schony, do they still use the old trumins on rt 112 at the 59.45 mark?
Yes. Both terminus at each end are still in use
@@Schony747 how often do they use it, say like only on certain times like peak or off peak?
Where in England? Couldn't understand announcer.
Melbourne Australia. It's not the first time I've been told I speak a bit fast at times
