Thanks for the visit guys, it was great to have you, and for you to showcase the breeding and conservation work we do in the Aquarium. We get very little publicity compared to the big zoo's and aquariums, and videos like this help to get our work out to a wider audience. Also thanks to everyone who has donated so far, it really does make a huge difference to what we are able to do. ..... Shaun , Tropiquaria Zoo.
Shaun @Tropiquaria thank you for the work you do!!! Will look up how to reach out, and see if we can do some awareness raising for you as well. [Edit to fix an auto correct fail]
What a great place, and what a fantastic job he is doing. Its nice to see things are place to help try and stop total extinction for some species. Good of you to give us this insight
So new to these types of channels. What a wonderful world. I’m going to school for marine biology and this hobby looks like so much fun to actively learn about the ecology of the systems. I want to try soon! Thank you!! ❤
What have you done to me? I have already watched this twice in a row & contemplating a third go at it. I really enjoy your vids, but this is a real treat! Thanks for sharing this.
Yes, the breeding tanks have v shaped dividers, which encourages the new born fry to swim to safety through the tiny gap, into the front of the tank. Eventually the adults get used to seeing fry swimming about and stop seeing them as food and after a while you'll see fry swimming happily either side of the divide
I'm loving the shift in your channel since you've been doing more collaborative stuff. I've enjoyed all your videos and gained a fair bit of knowledge but the ones with Matt have such a fun playful vibe they always make me smile. X
Hey MD and Matt! Really like the long-form adventure videos, and would love to see more 'mundane' upkeep, maintenance and behind the scenes stuff from your fish rooms and tanks May not make a big splash like the brand new setup videos but they're wonderful for inspiration while we're doing our own aquarium tasks! The enthusiasm is infectious - Thanks!
That was amazing! Those 44 minutes skipped by! And yeah, more adventures like these would be very appreciated. I also think you should do another Malawi cichlid tank either in the studio or in Matt's shop.
Such a great video and so many awesome fish and new species , would be nice if you would scape a tank for him ,,much love from Mexico love both your channels keep up the awesome work
yes do it, more of tropiquaria please.... I'm gonna have pay a visit, I've holidayed in the area before, but never visited, but I will next time... thanks for giving the publicity to this place.. wonderful work being carried out by Sean..👍👍
The whole breeding set up was totally financed by donations, of both money and equipment. Without the help of the general public, we couldn't do what we do today - Shaun, Tropiquaria
I've been stuck at home a lot in the past few years for health reasons, so it was such a treat to join you guys on a little day trip! So much fun to "hang out" with some fish friends chopping it up about fish!
Yes please let's see what other trouble you two got up to at Tropiquaria!!! Love the work they are doing on conservation and want to thank you for providing a link to them for donations :D
Yes! Everything you will share of this place and the work happening there, would be great to see, and learn, and swim in envy of all you are seeing. BRAVO for the fact good and great people are stewards over OUR planet and all that is within. Now, to redo my tanks and NEVER touch them again for years to achieve the plant growth shown in these tanks. 🙀 Grèat minds at work bring great joy to all. ✌🏼🙏🖖🏼💕🐠🌿🐟 Thank you.
This video gave me goose bumps ! Thank you so much for this, it’s a fish nerds dream to be given free reign on as many different tanks and breeding set ups as one could fit 😍😍🥳
Absolutely love this video and would love to see the rest of the tour! It’s very obvious Shaun not only loves his job but really cares about the conservation and protection of fish, the back rooms with all the tank organisation must have taken a lot of effort and it’s clear how hard he works to keep the fish genes “pure” incase of further scientific discoveries come out about them
This is what happens when u have 3 knowledgeable and passionate people all trying to talk about what they're passionate about, not one sentence, thought, or fact comes out fully. Everyone is cutting off everyone. Great video but definitely needs a bit more focus.
Yikes! After watching this I am done bragging about my "AlltheVallisneria😲"-tank I thought I was doing well but my gigantea are nowhere near the size this guy got going on 😂
I saw some Golden Skiffia at a local fish store recently. I had never heard of them before and thought they were amazing. I have a spare 20 long that I might need to set up just for those.
Hey MD, when Joey the DIY guy, came with an idea of a public aquarium gallery. I was really thinking that there are not a lot of places where you can actually see freshwater setups (outside of some big shops), like the big saltwater aquariums or zoos. Thank you for sharing this!

You guys are all AMAZING ❤ all the love from 🇨🇦
Definitely do another tropiquaria post
Full tour of the facilities
Yes please do as much of the facility as you can. I'd love to visit eventually but as a US viewer that's quite difficult lol
Fantastic, yes please more and more videos like this. Great job MD and Matt
LOVE THIS!!! DO MORE COLABORATIONS!!!!!!! and yes I'd like to see the rest of the tour.
it's so good to have a buddy that shares you passion and you could just endlessly talk about the passion itself :) loving the relationship!
Really awesome video! Please do the rest of the tour! It looks like a heck of a place

That is a responsible job and a worthwhile project. Great video guys, truly informative.

So cute taking the bromance on the road. Thanks for the tour. The fish were amazing.
Looks like you had so much fun with Matt ... lovely collection of fish !
So new to these types of channels. What a wonderful world. I’m going to school for marine biology and this hobby looks like so much fun to actively learn about the ecology of the systems. I want to try soon! Thank you!! ❤
Awesome video! Yes on wanting to see more than the fish. My faves were the tiny crabs and mudskippers.
I adore natural tanks, especially with dark backgrounds. You get lost in them as they seem to go on forever.
Hey look, the day has finally come, Matt and MD are on a Date!
If you deal with a problem one at a time, they will all sort themselves out”. Sage advice for bonsai
What have you done to me? I have already watched this twice in a row & contemplating a third go at it. I really enjoy your vids, but this is a real treat! Thanks for sharing this.
Awesome video! The tanks at the end of the video looked like they had tanks inside tanks? Or are they dividers for something? Just curious 🇦🇺❤️
That’s what I thought. Thank you so much for replying ❤️🇦🇺
I’d like too see more ! Plz - great vid funny as always 😂 love it keep it up ! X
Yes! More video!
You guys are nuts…that’s why I love you

This was always a school trip destination when I was a kid 😂
OF COURSE we want to see alllll the aminals! Lolol

Fish shop Matt definitely needs to do a vampire crab tank!

Yes! Every day, I look to see if MD has given us a new vid!
same, the friendship between them is just so heartwarming to see :)
The friendship between you and matt is absolutely amazing love from ireland 🇮🇪
Eyyy it’s so lovely seeing a genuine male friendship forming! A good example for all lads out there! 💜
I think they've been good friends for a while if I'm not mistaken
But yeah they are a good example of great friends

That was amazing! Those 44 minutes skipped by!
And yeah, more adventures like these would be very appreciated.
I also think you should do another Malawi cichlid tank either in the studio or in Matt's shop.
Yes more of this!!! Can you get some of the terrestrial plants in the tropical area as well!!
Great video! I thoroughly enjoyed the excitement in MD’s voice and the smile on Matt’s face during the tour. More, please🥰🇺🇸🌱🐠🌱🐟🌱
Such a great video and so many awesome fish and new species , would be nice if you would scape a tank for him ,,much love from Mexico love both your channels keep up the awesome work

very cool collection. The Goodied Working Group is super rad.
Glad you enjoyed Alex :)
Used to go to Tropiquaria for my birthdays as a kid. Might have to start doing again though some might consider that a bit weird for a 35 yr old man.
Not weird at all! Loads of people do it ❤
Embrace the fish side, fighting it is too depressing
😁
You just need a mate with similar interests who can share a beer with you. Tank museums, steam engines...
Amazing! I wish I lived closer so I could visit this place myself. Also interested in seeing the rest of the place! Keep adventuring together.
It’s gonna be a good day! Thanks for posting from Texas! Can you do a crystal red shirt?

The Leleupi are great as well, no lyre tail but a gentle yellow banana fish.
Great video. Loved the threatening bird (a Superb Starling, I’m fairly reliably informed). I would love MD & Matt to do a marine reef tank some time.
