Got dragged to a Thursday concert in Salt Lake City back in 2006, Minus the Bear opened for them, got a much bigger applause and call for an encore then the headline. They are/were amazing live, enjoyed their music ever since.
Humans are confusing... Having said that I'm off to check out more of this band.

My god Ive fallen in love with this band. They are so talented. Its refreshing knowing there are still bands out there that care about making quality music.
That old tropes still not true! Bands never decreased in quality. It was the distribution and executives of the labels that quit pushing talent in exchange for easy money. It’s 2022 and there’s still no shortage of great bands.
