I don't really care either way because I'll watch it in 480p even, but just weighing in on the cameras in case you read these. The AC in the older lancers operate weird, currently in mine the AC cycles too quickly, so even when its extremely hot outside and inside the car is hot, the AC still cycles and does not maintain the coldness properly and its not from overcharging with freon. it just works like that. the lower the fan speed the quicker it cycles, its best to put it on full blast and leave the air circulate leaver on quarter when driving on the highway, and put the fan speed on 1 or 2 when in traffic. i have checked mutliple AC guys and it still happens, no one could figure out the problem
Make sure your heater control valve is working... sometimes it won't close so it's blowing hot air through the evaporator and it acts like it's not working when really the ac is cooling hot coolant air instead of just ambient air.
Things you should check with your a/c. Condenser fan runs! make sure your cabin filter is clean! Make sure your compressor is cuting in and out! With your cabin temp set point.also you should always change your filter dryer when re-gassing a system.you could have air or particles trapped inside
Does your ac carry the digital controls? If it does take out the digital control and open it. You will find components with dry joints. Just pass a solder iron over them.
If you have chased everything possible. The a.c condenser it self is most like bad. If it wont accept the freon and only slightly gets cold is a good indication.

In evos the idle runs weird with ac on, disconnect the battery and idle for 10-15 min and run it around the block. after it goes through the relearning procedure with the AC "on" you should be good.
Change that compressor on the evo. Running it with air pressure instead of freeon maybe damaged it. Idk also check vaccum lines for it. Annoying with those older setups haha. Also dude I love the two of you together so much fun and calamity its great! Keep the pranks going!! :D

Did he put a compressor on your line to remove everything from the system first and did you guys actually measure the r134 you put in on a scale to manufaturer spec? R134 is very finicky and doesnt take nearly the volume R12 used to.
