I was at your concert in 2009 in St. Petersburg. You are forever in my heart, I've been listening to you for more than 15 years. Thank you for your music, it helped me in difficult moments and continues to help me.
Man. This is the song that made discover RA way back the day when I was 15 years old now and I'm 32 years old now ^^. His voice is really amazing and all these lyrics saved millions of life 😍 RA for life 😍
This song really made me love Rise Against, and I still love this song to this very day, although Tim doesn't carry the same raw energy he did back when the song was first released, this is still an awesome version, and definitely deserving of a live session like this, really loving the uploads!
Gotta love this song and the following "Drones" on the album "The Sufferer & The Witness"! ❤️ I'm so happy to see you guys live in June at Rock am Ring 🤘
Tim's voice sounds great, I've heard some really patchy performances of this over the years but this one is fantastic!! Good balance of angst and pitch! The whole session is really great. Great bit of legacy ! 🔥👏
I can tell you this as I went down a rabbit hole of seeing live performances after listening to one and being like "wtf this sounds nothing like the song" This is actually WAY better then the one 15 years ago. A much better and polished version that isnt the same as the original but atleast its on beat and not all over the place.
The Sufferer and the Witness was without a doubt one of the most import albums in my life. It got me through a very critical, hard period of my life. Those memorable melodies had an impact that no other RA album hit me with. It was the last album I've enjoyed by them. I still appreciate their ideals, though, and I wish they had a little more...personality, as a band. No offense.
i dont disagree with you result wise , however , if you are in their shoes , you know from experience , that you re not a robot , Age takes its toll on you , specially in the vocals , year after year after year . I listened to this song when i was 14 , now i have double the age , 28 years old . I understand they are not heroes , or gods , they are human beings that were very creative and made a message/art/whatever. I cherish them for that ,but i know they are not invinsible and neither am i as i keep aging , and i cant compete with my teen years in many things already . I dont know if my answer is close to what you thought when you wrote the comment . Those are my thoughts tho.
This was sloppy and honestly sad to listen to, I've avoided a lot of these but since the last one I heard a year ago it's just gone down hill. I know the record company may be running them into the pits but at what point does the pride of their old lyrics kick in? If it meant anything at all to them
For those who say that Tim does not sound as angry or as raw as before, just remember that this song was written and released almost 20 years ago.
Also gotta remember they have to pay the bills and are just flushing these out because it's a contractual agreement they have to finish.
I know my energy level is far different than it was 20 years ago lol
This is actually one of the better live versions in a while…maybe cause it‘s still somewhat of a studio session!
Yeah but his voice goes in and out of being healthy regardless and this is not his best
@@TJG421 you are surprised talented people still want to work and or rock?
The song that made me fall in love with rise against ❤️

I now envision this song with videos from Ukraine.
Dang, this really hurts to say but these guys are starting to look burned out.

Wouldn't you be burned out if you tied your whole youth to fight against something bigger than your ego..like against everything you told to..
Молодці, але відмовчались 🙁
Great song but it's really sad how much vigor and angst they've lost in their live performances since they wrote this
Yeah I saw them last yeah, November. Everyone was complaining on thier fb page the week after. It was lack luster unfortunately
Followed these lads religiously since 03…
Genuinely fucking hurts to see them slide into mediocrity like this.
Yikes
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Seen/Unseen” by SLT 🤘🐺
In europe, it’s more like “prayer of the refugee’s european victims”. Someday i wanna hear a punk song about that and the people responsible.
Looks like they learned the song yesterday and need more practice... sad, because the song is amazing.
wtf did I just read
