This manhunt was so strategic and well thought out. I love how Sam is the only one who knows what Dream's doing while the others are clueless. I saw a comment on Dream's video that said, 'Sam went through the 5 stages of grief in 2 minutes' and I thought that was hilarious

He even said on reddit that the hunters got so much better and he rage quit after some time. I think Dream made it shorter to pull more views. This video can definitely be extended to 45 mins.

The hunters were getting so much better, especially Sapnap, he made Dream retreat a 1v1, and Dream is keep on creating new tactics to change the tide of the game
and this is why punz isn't in manhunt
Sapnap kept screaming and calling Dream to fight, and while fighting, Sapnap was getting crazier like... He's rage fighting, The longer he fights, His strength increase.
@@skyprolegend_gp3448 not really, dream just messed up because he thought his shield was ready but it wasn't and sapnap just took advantage of that and got good hits. Not really sapnap getting better and more dream being more prone to mistakes, but I don't know them so it could be a one time thing

@@Adrian-kb4rg football players peak for two years at most before slowly losing their touch, which is why most of them can only stay on a professional team for 2-4 years. Maybe it’s the same with Minecraft. They never become bad, but slowly get rusty.
@@minecrafter3448 That's not how minecraft or football or sports in general works. Athletes 'peak' for 4-5 years, but that peak is purely an athletic prime. Football players, like you said, mostly only peak for 2-3 years, since injuries and physical wear and tear are so prevalent. They rarely get rusty, since they train just as much as they always have.
On the other hand, minecraft requires little physical effort compared to professional football players. There only thing that could possibly get rusty is your skills (after a long break away) or mental abilities.
@@mapthemultiverse you make a fair point, but dream isn’t as good at Minecraft as he was a year ago, and that’s a fact. He’s either been practicing less, or he’s losing his touch.
Honestly the best part about this was kind of the plan of the Dragon always perching at its highest point was when he mentioned it on Sapnaps stream at one point and said he has to keep all the other dragon tips secret. Like he really takes notes and strategies for so many months

@@rachelb7589 I mean they could've but that would've ruined things for them as well. Sam said they didn't have enough blocks to get to him, so they were reliant on the water to get to Dream. Since it was either Kill Dream right then and there or take agro with the dragon(which didn't work since it ended up perching)

I'm not sure Foolish fits the criteria to be a likely hunter. From what I've learned the most likely to be the next hunter is either Alissa or Punz.

@@Diamond-pv3bp can't be Callahan cause he's in charge with the seeds for the manhunts and Punz is fine since he still deals with Sapnap and has even played with Illumina.
3:53 sapnap baited him by mining few blocks over the water... So when dream jumped he used the bonemeal on the sapling!

i wouldn’t call it baiting when dream could already see him there and would know he was up to something. it was more of a plan that failed, but still a good one.

Dream even confirmed himself in the extra scenes that Sapnap baited him, Dream saw him but didn't know what he was holding.

badboyhalo's fast eyes, george's hearing ability, antfrost who gives the good tools that needs to fight dream, sapnap's strength that can 1v1 dream and awesam's tactics vs dream who is a really good speedrunner + know a lot of tactics to runaway from manhunters. i can say that the 5 manhunters are perfect to fight dream and they can kill him easily but dream refuses to die, he always have many ways to live and go to the end. i am so proud of them all.
The hunters can easily kill dream but we have one small problem here dream is just not in the mood to die maybe next time he will we will see
so, the daylight sensor meant that he would teleport to the stasis chamber when it turned night
and i assume the glitch that dream did with the dragon perch was that the water would make it so the dragon would fly up and out of range of the healing pillars, and would somehow break the code to make it stay perched forever.
actually it didn’t break any codes ! that’s an intentional game design ! and not even really a “glitch” because it made to happen
@@overttheinix4638 thanks for the info, I didn't really know how it worked because its the first time seeing that trick being done, so hence why I used the word "assume"
sort of you see the dragons ai is made to perch at the highest point and at that height the crystals can not reach it hence dream didnt need to worry about those and seeing as it wasn't on its proper perch dream was able to shoot it instead of hitting it with something
and the chunk that the entrance to the stronghold is ALWAYS loaded that's why it worked
For anyone confused about the ending there - The dragon tries to perch at the highest point so when it perched it came up to dream and couldn't hit him, leave, or heal at that height. Sam knew the hunters wouldn't be able to get there in time with the dragon spinning and knocking them off so that why he was telling about "not letting the dragon perch"
I love how foolish always choses who he wants to win at the start then halfway through starts cheering for the other side

17:02 I think this is one of the best BBH manhunt moments 😂😂 it’s been dead silent for a while, and then bad looks down and sees Dream and starts screaming at the top of his lungs 😂
can we talk about how ridiculously over-the-top intense the premiere countdown was though? like, yes, the actual manhunt was extremely intense, and there was a lot of cool stuff, but manhunts are expected to be cinematic and intense. boat tricks? dragon cheese? dream just straight up 5v1ing people? that's awesome, and i will always love watching it, but at the same time, you know you're gonna see insane tricks the moment you click on to the video. the premiere countdown, though? nobody expects that to be intense. it's usually just music that makes me think of if someone remixed the mii channel music with some numbers on circles, neat and calm but not intense. nobody expects it to be dramatic and beautiful, and yet here we are. seriously, what?
On reddit Dream said that he didn't break the hunters' bed after the Nether, because he simply forgot, focused on locating the stronghold. Also you're right, the statis chamber to work has to have that chunk loaded, people are speculating that either their server has a setting for ender pearl chunks to stay loaded or Callahan (spl?) stayed nearby so that the trick would work. The daylight sensor triggered at nightime, moving the trapdoor which triggered the suspended pearl.
Bro this really shows how strong sapnap is like dream was 3/4 wearing diamond and sapnap has wear fool iron and we was able to get him to half a heart
I really want Foolish to react to the Dream SMP animatics *"The Search"* by *redwiwo* and *"Avarice"* by *Late August* - both have quite a lot of foolish content, feature fire songs and are beautiful both in drawing style and quality.

I honestly have no idea why Dream wouldn't immediately break their bed once he got back into the Overworld, would've stopped Bad from disabling the second lava trap on that end and would've set the respawn for all of them to miles away
Maybe it is a new rule they have now or based off when the top of the nether happened. But I don’t see why since they could have teleported and watered.

3:50 for those people that r still confused by this big brain dream play: there was water by where he was, Sapnap bone mealed a sapling, as an attempt to kill Dream at the beginning with fall damage. But this is Dream we are talking about. He quickly took the shears and broke the leaves on the tree, landing in the water
(Also, I am pretty sure that the George starts with a compass. It isn't every manhunt, but some of them. So I think that is how they knew that Dream was out 4:48

yes the tree thing around the 4min mark was Sapnap baiting Dream to jump & then catch him off guard with fall damage, but Dream quickly used his shears to shear through into the water

0:44 it's a video edit tactic of Dream where it connects to the other similar clip, making it a clean cut, so it's a smooth transition from 1 clip to the next.

In 1.18 it is easery to find daimonds in caves but the problem is that u will only find clusters of daimonds in 1 or 2 veins anything more is pretty rare to find that's why most of them didn't have that much daimond stuff this time
he's on a datapack that implements the 1.18 caves into 1.17

The daylight sensor works like when it is night in the game the sensor will send signal trapdoor then the trapdoor launches the ended Pearl teleporting dream to where he set the pearl
The last bit is some sort of way to trap the dragon to one cycle without beds
the fact that foolish was so focused on it AND DREAM WAS SO GOOD i thought he was gonna die(in game) bc the video is not that long like other manhunts

Seeing that bed right there outside the nether portal and Dream not breaking it hurts... but I KNOW they banned inescapable nether portal trapping so he had to leave the bed to keep the lava trap legal :')
i think there might be a rule against breaking beds idk though
@@richtyty9416 no, bed breaking is fine - it's up to the hunters to either hide or defend it well enough. In this it's pairing it with the lava trap over the portal that would likely have tipped it over into questionable territory rules-wise

I found out from the bonus video what that list bit was all about. It's a mechanic of the dragon. It tries to perch at the highest point. When you do the water and obsidian over the portal, it spazs out like this, trying to perch at the highest point. Dream's not allowed to do this again. They agreed upon it. Yeah, he essentially exploited a mechanic of the dragon. Additionally, once he knocked them down and it started perching, the dragon would knock the hunters away as they tried to get to Dream.
