@@alleniverson397 from what I have heard from some reviews (few-ish) is that the shoes arent as breathable as most running shoes. I’m assuming because of the water resistance (not proof, water can still sneak in on the top) and because its primarily a trail shoe. I can attest that it does run water off the majority of where splashing would happen on a morning run or running through dew in the grass. But dont run through puddles.
In short, they’re less breathable than the average or most running shoes for pavement. But I’ve seen plenty of reviews of people saying they where them all say with no issues so maybe some are wearing thicker socks than others. Who knows?? I’d say get these or the adidas ultraboosts 20’s. Reebok also made a pretty good shoe I’ve heard but I will only switch to adidas from nike and under armour. Good luck!
@@1111italia1111 id say these, theyre more water proof/resistant than most running shoes or shoes with mesh. I stand for 11 hours for my job and get 2 breaks and a lunch. So when i go out to my car or go out for lunch, I want a shoe thats comfy and wont get wet. Last thing I want to do is finish a long shift standing in some wet ass shoes. Or goto any outing and stand in wet shoes 😂

I bought 2 pairs of the Nike React Type GTX as work shoes and i love them, they were actually some of the most comfortable shoes ive ever bought, these look just as comfy
Glad you did this review. I’m actually eyeing a pair up for myself. With COVID the only exercise I’ve been getting is walking my dog. Living in PA I need something I can wear for a good 3 miles a day in some really brutal weather. I’m thinking these might do the trick since I’m using the Pegasus 36 currently and they’re about worn into the ground
Just FYI goretex isn't a "treatment" but an actual fabric that's made by Dupont, waterproof instead of water repellant, as well.
Gortex is breathable and waterproof so you won't get to hot that's why it's so expensive the gortex jackets can get up to 700 to 1000 $
My favourite water resistant shoe is the terrex free hiker gtx. I’ve had other shoes from the terrex gore Tex line and they are also great!
I just got the Reebok Zig Kinetica Edge. They’re super comfy. Looking for more waterproof shoes for the winter here in Michigan. So I’ll take a look at the ones you mentioned.
adidas seem to have low cushion... I don’t like that
@@martinkulik9466 these in particular have a full length boost midsole, so basically waterproof ultraboost is the feeling on feet. They do fit VERY snug though I had to go up a whole size for it to be comfortable
I just discovered this shoe about 8 months after release and was finally able to find a size 9. I think these hybrid kind of sneakers will get to be more popular in the near future. Using these as my “ultimate dad shoe” to run errands and just doing stuff especially on rainy days. Can’t wait to get them in hand.
I just purchased the Pegasus Trail 3 Gore-Tex earlier today. I purchased the Adidas Terrex Free Hiker Cold.RDYs for winter and loved them but I needed a waterproof and comfortable shoe for Spring and Summer since I work outside. Wednesday we're supposed to get severe thunderstorms and I'll be working so I guess I'll get to test the waterproofness of these Trail 3s. In terms of fit, I have no idea, lol, because I haven't even tried them on yet but hopefully they fit, hopefully they're fully waterproof and hopefully they're comfortable with that React midsole. I'm also hoping with the updated model that they breath well.
Can you wear these in summer ( hot/ warm weather) too?

I have the Adidas Cold Ready in black and have been wearing them for week. I bought them purely for walking in the wind, rain and cold. Have had them for a week now and am super happy with them. I got half a size up as I wear them with Stance socks and adidas clima cool socks. They are very comfortable once you've got them on, keep my feet dry from the rain (unless I step in a big puddle) and the show itself stays dry. The only bad thing is that they are really hard to get on your feet due to the material used around the top.

Out of what you can still get I like the adidas terrex freehiker. I used to mostly wear ACGs in the winter but I'm not crazy about any of the current ones. These seem like a contender but a little steep price wise for what it is.
I just ordered a pair after seeing your video. Ordered the tan color. :-) Going to use them mostly for when I go hit some trails on my mountain bike. 🚵♀️ liked the idea of water proof. Thanks for the review 👍
The Ghost 13 GTX is also priced at $160 and is really comfortable. I've been using it for my snowier runs this year. It also works really well as a waterproof casual shoe.
Getting delivery of these in the next hour. Got the colours you actually wanted, the black and orange ones. So glad that a sneakerhead did a review on these for a change. I have the Laser Orange colorway and the real thing looks even better than what it seems like on the site, the midsole is not so whitish unlike it seems on the site, the other two colorways besides these two also look great in my opinion

Have been sitting on these in my favorites list since they dropped but have been on pause since I recently picked up the Adidas equivalent you highlighted in this video. However, after seeing your review I really like the look of these and their practical nature has convinced me (along with your review) to pull the trigger as I like to walk everyday, even in wet conditions.

Got the Converse Chuck 70 GTX MC20 high tops last weekend for urban wear with Gore Tex wet weather protection. Something casual for wet early winter weather in the city, digging them so far.
Got mine today. I. Got the blue orange color ones. Just went for 2 mile trail run , felt very comfortable.
AF 1 Gore-Tex are great, true to size, but you need to put minimum 5000 steps to break them in. Easy to slip foot in and out without lacing up.

These shoes are awesome! Just received my pair. Fits true to size. If you’re going to be wearing thicker socks, recommend half size up.
Also, not mentioned in this video, the tongue and small Nike swoosh on the back reflect light at night.

Dope vid! I love the Nike Undercover React Presto. Fully rubberized and even though it’s a collab you can find them for less then retail because of how slept in they were

I got the non-GTX version about a week ago from my local clearance store and I really love the look and comfort of the React. I definitely love the utility of a water resistant sneaker so I’ll keep my eyes open for these and the 37s. My favorite water resistant sneaker atm is the Nike AF1 duckboots. They make another AF1 boot that essentially takes it’s place now though.
Vans ultra range exo hi mte gore-Tex Dw boot, it’s what I’ve been rocking for the cold and wet days. They take some breaking in but they’re really rugged and quite comfortable

Great shoe! I actually use it for wet runs and for the upcoming winter season. Puddles and snow got nothing on this!!!!! I've got the orange version but was actually was looking for the black on black LOL!

If you liked the Hoka Cliftons , there is the hoka challenger ATR 5 GTX (ver6 coming soon I believe). My go to shoes for wet weather running/hiking.
My heels bled after I wore this shoe with no-show socks for 10 mins. There are no cushion pads at the heel(ankle) area and you must wear ankle-high socks with these shoes.

Can’t wait for the comparison video with these and the adidas winter.rdy ultraboosts. In the market for the same kind of shoe. Had a water repellent” Terrex Free Hiker (non GTX) and those soaked through in heavy rain. So wary now of anything that isn’t actually goretex branded.
I have a Nike ACG Terra Gobe, and it is "weather-proof'', but the feel on the outsole isn't so soft as you would expect from a full-lenght react (same issue with the ''muting'')

I just recently gave up on collecting sneakers due to reselling and hype so at the same time, I unsub on some of sneaker youtuber except weartesters. My problem with some sneaker youtuber, over and over they sounded the same and it's getting tiring. Lines like, what's up youtube, what's up everybody blah blah blah and pretty much straight forward review of whatever from start to finish. Now this channel although sometimes goes on hype mode, content like this which necessarily shares performance and functionality reviews and not entirely on hype alone unlike others. And shares insights not just straightforward boring a-z review (upper, outsole, fit, etc) just like nw from weartesters. This days, you got to choose who to support. You got my sub again because of this so keep it up. Waiting for your list of waterproof sneakers.

Unfortunately these are just too heavy for trail running. I do recommend for casual wear though.
But probably not heavier than in non-waterproof shoe in wet conditions :p

love this shoe but still question the goretex waterproof where it’s insulated. When I’m walking on wet trails or puddles it keeps water out but if I’m walking on rainy days my feet get wet 🤷♂️
I bought the winterized ultra boost and i found them very uncomfortable; I was so shocked.
I hate that the word Gortex is advertised on the innerside. Aside from the unwarranted advertising, the shoe itself looks good, they're comfortable, and I've been sprinting in the snow all week. With that said when I run hard they feel off, almost lopsided.
Nothing comes close the Terrex Free Hiker GTX triple black. In the PNW it handles everything.

There are a lot of negative reviews on the pegasus trail 2 and 3 that the grip performs poorly in wet conditions and the shoe is very slippery and dangerous. Would you say that you found the the trail 2 gore-tex to be slippery on wet surfaces? The reason I ask is that the trail 3 gore-tex has just been released and I was considering getting it for wet and rainy days.
