I DO NOT SELL PRODUCTS. A detailed explanation is given for each step. As with all my videos, this illustrates my own personal preference based on decades of experience. Please note that I don't sell products and am not profiting from these videos nor are they sponsored. So if you have questions about the products then please contact your supplier. (Like they’ll know!)
Art is the best interior tech in the industry..period
C'mon man! 😁 Ain't nobody here but us chickens! Looks like I need to throw in a few more mistakes.
I have this exact problem on a 2015 GMC Yukon. This is EXACTLY the aproach I intend to take to fix it. I'm almost happy now that there wasn't any aftermarket replacement items that i could find for this situation besides locating a whole panel for upwards of $300. Materials might run around $15, and the fix should last the life of the vehicle. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge and skill!!!!!!
Excellent work. Thank you for sharing this!
Amen about the weather stripping put on before installing the panel. Twenty years ive been doing it wrong. Im a bit of a slow learner. Lol
I really appreciate your videos! I learn something every time.
I’m so thankful for this I have a dealership I need to do this same panel at tomorrow
Nice job, I haven't run across one of these that needs fixing yet but I'm sure that I will. I have used the spray foam insulation in the past, it's good stuff! Thanks for sharing!
Great Video, I have the same issue with my 2020. I think that will be my next fix.
Your videos are so well made i wish i knew how to do the work you do
Gracias
Art, for a little extra money you can purchase a reusable spray foam gun and can for your foam repair projects, always enjoy your repairs! Amazing work!
Hey! I wasn't aware of that. Thanks.
Yes they sell the gun and the cans at Home Depot but they’re a bit pricey near $200. Funny though they don’t sell the cleaner for the gun. Didn’t know acetone was the preferred cleaning agent good to know I have tried paint thinner and such with very little success so I have always used disposable razor cutting tools for it.
It’s sad Chevrolet couldn’t get their 50$ an hour employees to build a quality product. I’ve driven them all of my life but the next one will be a Toyota
Art, What a talent! TY. I have this vehicle and my arm rest is loose and starting to make noises when I lean on it. Can you tell us the thickness of the plywood support used? 1/4"?
v56 at the 15:45 mark.
Great video, but how do you remove the door panel?
Look, all the contact points are at the end of the video. Did you even watch the whole thing? WT?
Great Work! Thx for the class ;-)
Do you have part number on screws you used? Thanks
Rick have you done any Porsche dash where the leather shrunk and pulled away at the seams. Love to see how or if you tackle it. I have had 4-5 in the last year and I’ve walked away. If I can’t make it look 80% better I don’t do it. Thanks
Not yet. Just Jeep Overland. Cut it back on a straight line and put new leather forward to the glass. Glass out, of course. I'll look for an opportunity. Thanks
