Like she's a bad person and everything, but this is just like the basics of playing a character. You don't recognize the fact you're acting, not unless there's an emergency situation, not breaking the magic is huge to many performers, professional or hobbyist.

I'm so glad you made a follow up vid!! I've been following the situation and found your last reaction a bit lacking in information, but it's good you know more now. Freckled Zelda seems like a really fake, self-pitying person - Even if she wasn't this controversial, she'd still be a crappy friend.
On the artist point -
If they paid for the artist and properly commissioned them for it and there was no agreement on royalties, then Freckled Zelda is absolutely in the right there.
The artist does not own that art, they sold not just the image to them, but sole distribution rights.
If you expect royalties, royalties should be in your original contract. You cannot renegotiate the contract retroactively just because they made more money off of it.
Totally agree with this. They are allowed to be frustrated because she made more money, but you can’t renegotiate a deal like that way after.

A video game artist doesn't expect to make more money than the video game does, a comic book artist doesn't expect to make more than the comic does, the guy making the front cover art for a book doesn't expect to make more money than the book does.
When you do commissions for companies/businesses it should be expected that they're going to make more money using the art than you did from the commission. If they didn't, they wouldn't have paid for a commission in the first place.
Honestly just feels like this is a really inexperienced artist that likely hasn't been doing commissions for long.

@@andrewedward5181 Not really. When these things happen there's always a whole host of allegations. One of them being invalid doesn't invalidate the rest of them. I'm not going to be going after her though, 'cause I just don't really care. I only cared about the artist point.
Fellow cosplayer here. If people ask for your picture, you don't charge them????? Not even if you're running a booth promoting your cosplay. Some people will sell prints of their work, but it is generally assumed if you give your consent to be photographed to photogs or con goers, it's for free. You'd definately not charge them after they took the pic. That's something you'd negotiate before the picture was taken, if you're so inclined.
People like this make other Christians like myself, not like admitting we're Christians, same vibes as the vegan teacher when it comes to the religious stuff.

I find it very laughable once a photographer gives the photo to the client, and states they can do what they want, and then state when they do what they want, they somehow cannot do what they want. I worked for a photographer who was a scammer who would do that stuff all the time, and try to scare people by screaming he would sue, a ton of frivolous lawsuit threats. It always makes me laugh.

I think what pisses me off most about her response about "other people dress like this out in public spaces" is that those people are not doing it in a private DM, knowing a child is in that DM, and posing in a suggestive manner. The outfit itself wasn't necessarily the issue, although I wouldn't send anything in that outfit to a child, it was her posing, the lip-bite, and the clear sexual suggestion. She was showing her cleavage, she was showing her boobs. That was the issue.

Im Lolliath, a cosplayer (as a hobby) and I've been in group chats with her in the past, nothing as nefarious as the one previously mentioned with children-- but this chat was made by creators, to support other creators in their growth! A very sweet concept I thought, but she was never there to give her support to us, and had no problem asking us to lift her up (spamming her posts) for nothing in return, and then complain to the mods that she was being treated unfairly. Shes made her career on the backs of other creators that she's used.

And also, amongst the art community, when someone sells art for commercial purposes, they usually dont require credit because they sold it for COMMERCIAL use.

The whole outfit thing isn’t exactly about the outfit itself, but more about the fact that the images were very clearly meant to be sexual in nature. The only time i think its appropriate to say you are so and so and play the character of ... is if you as an individual are entirely separate from your piblic persona. For example i found out recently that Barry Scott the Cillit Band mans name isnt actually Barry Scott it was Neil something. It should be entirely for clarification and isolation of the personal issue and the public persona, but it seems that people use it as a get out of jail free card when it feels lile they are just waving a big red flag in a bullpen

the 'hating other religions' is an insanely common thing for literally all religions, its weird. its insane how many times on youtube ill see a video about a certain religion then a bunch of people of a different religion in the replies will say its fake and only THEIR religions is the real one. i truly believe the world wouldve been a better place and so many wars couldve been avoided if religion didnt exist. they talk about being all loving but they hate ANYONE who is even slighlty different to them. im not going to respect any religion that doesnt respect me. they say they dont supoort us but if we even dare say that we dont support their religion they throw around all types of words, its not a one way street my loves. theres no such thing as a 'peaceful religion' theyre all as corrupt and nasty as each other.

Freckle'ds ex is MtF (Freckled is straight), the name on the venmo/email is her deadname and her chosen name is Flora. Not so sure why there were so many mishaps tho
at the time of her making those videos, in floras bio, it had "she/*he*/they" as her pronouns, flora didnt change it to "she/her" until shortly after. yes, zelda should have blurred out the deadname, but i think if she did, people would say shes faking evidence
