Thanks for the show! Nice.
Thanksss! Glad you liked it and thanks for the kind words.
Just a few comments: all jaguar warriors were commoners who captured about 4 to 6 prisioners. The eagle warriors were from noble status, but had to achieve the same captures. Also, these weren't the highest ranks, above them were the cuachique or "shorn ones" and the otomitin, first one for nobles and the second for commoners.
Jags and eagles are by far the most iconic and popular tho

"all jaguar warriors were commoners who captured about 4 to 6 prisioners"
No, The Anonymous Conquistador writes that the nobly born Jaguar Knights got to wear suits of cotton with simulated jaguar pattern, whereas the non nobly born JKs had to make do with ACTUAL jaguar skin suits. Amusing as this sounds to a modern audience, it does not back up the idea that they were all commoners.
I’ll correct it, only 4 captive for jaguar, no more than that. If you capture 5 you will enter Otontin/Otomi order and 6 captives will enter de Cuachic order and the higher rank.
@@joeerickson516 Are you serious ?? "Spanish influenza" FOUR HUNDRED YEARS before 1919 ??!!!

Who invented such stories? That information is out of the reality. Don't take things totally literal
Out of "the" reality huh?
Well then tell us, as you are so clearly educated on the subject. What is the reality?
Do you want to name any specific stories ?
It's impossible to debate such a nebulous statement, until you specify WHAT you are claiming is "out of the reality"....
Recorded history.
@@stealthboy5767well the cannibalism for one is well documented Spanish bullshit meant to make natives look more “savage”. Nearly everything we get about Mesoamerican culture is filtered through Spanish propaganda since the Spanish tried desperately to erase all the history from these cultures, including burning written history from certain civilizations and then claiming that no natives had written language.
