1 Hour at Magdeburg-Neustadt Station

- Magdeburg-Neustadt railway station is not far away from Magdeburg central station (federal state of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany). There are many old industrial buildings around. Many train movements can be watched, sometimes 3 trains at a time, like in the final scenes of this video. There are 2 platforms with 4 tracks. To the side of track 4 there are 2 more tracks. Freight trains pass there frequently.
Staircases and escalators (added in later years) are placed at the end of the platforms where the tracks lead to Magdeburg central station. In front of the station you can change to several bus lines. The entrance hall has still kept a lot of its original appearance. The access building was erected in 1901. There are no more counters, only ticket machines. The platform underpass is a good example of the style how stations were decorated about 100 years ago. Nobody knows how long this beautiful architecture will remain here. There are plans to put a sport studio or a museum into this building. Perhaps then a different access tunnel will be built for passengers. - Авто та транспорт

Das hat mich auch überrascht. Meistens steht kein anderer Zug im Bahnhof, wenn ich hier auf dem Weg von oder nach Leipzig durchkomme.

Hallo Dirk. Schöne Nächtliche Aufnahmen von Magdeburg-Neustadt. Der Güterzug am Anfang zwischen dem haltenden Güterzug war ein Autotransportzug für neue Porsche aus Leipziger Produktion. Normalerweise fahren die Güterzüge nur auf den beiden Gütergleisen an den alten Indiustriegebäuden. Deine Videokamera macht wirklich herrliche Aufnahmen im Dunkeln, allerdings kommt auch die Bahnsteigbeleuchtung in Neustadt gut zur Geltung. Danke fürs zeigen und herzliche Grüße aus Bernburg.
Hallo Thomas, ich war überrascht, wie viel Zugverkehr dort am Abend herrscht. Aber der Bahnhof scheint ein wichtiger Umsteigepunkt zu sein. Für mich ist es auch entspannter, wenn ich mit dem RE aus Leipzig über Dessau komme. Dann habe ich hier mehr Zeit zum Umsteigen in Richtung Salzwedel als in Magdeburg Hbf. 2006 habe ich auch mal eine Stunde oder so am Bahnhof M-Neustadt gewartet. In der Nähe standen (ehemals) wunderschöne alte Häuser, die vollkommen verrottet waren. Ich frage mich, was aus denen geworden ist... Außerdem gab es im Bahnhofsgebäude oder direkt daneben eine Nazi- oder Skinheadkneipe.
Mir fallen vor allem immer wieder die alten Industriegebäude auf, die vom Bahnhof aus zu sehen sind. Irgendwann möchte ich da auch noch mal am Tag filmen, aber im Winter komme ich immer nur bei Dunkelheit dort durch. Von der Kneipe habe ich nichts mitbekommen. Der Bahnhofsvorplatz wirkte ziemlich verlassen.
