So so sorry for your loss, When we got the call from St. John's Hospital about 3am in the morning, Where mom would go to and back home so frequently, I felt it was the doctor again saying your mom wants to go home against doctors orders again. This time however, I was filled with a different kind of dread. We got there went straight to her room. Hoses everywhere, Hospital room noises, I went to the desk and asked what the problem was. Ask the said the words, I was instantly seized with fear, loss, disillusionment, As the floor I was standing on fell away from under my feet into some unknown abyss. Every family member and friends were at the hospital as the sun began to shine through the darkest day of our lives. As, the young lady was saying as people were walking, around, coming and going on about their day, As, I/we were trying to lift this fallen concrete wall of grief off of us, Why aren't they as sad as we are, how can they not be grieving, Why are they laughing And, talking on phones etc. When we got back to the house, having to leave momma there in the bed. People begin ringing the doorbell with all this food and cards and grief from that day till the day of the funeral. Food, Flowers and grief. July 24th 2011. After 53 years of marriage, September, 17th 2011. A repeat of Flowers, food and grief for dad. Almost 2 months after mom. So sorry for your loss, I and others completely understand and grieve for and with you.
