All the folks proving the otherwise legit point wrong, let me explain you engineering briefly: He's pressing down the gear lever without touching the clutch, right, he's not using it, so it could be said that he's technically not damaging it since it's kept of the operation. Well, from that perspective, the clutch is always ENGAGED, and CONNECTED to both: fly wheel as well the gears at the same time. Now the gears are downed and it also pushes the clutch to match the flywheel speed with that of engaged gear, and since the flywheel obviously isn't at the same speed as it should've been on the downed gear, it is forced to match it up, thus initially the clutch slips while making the flywheel rotate at the desired speed, and since flywheel is also connected to piston it self, it resists and that's how clutch wears out unusually and making it "burn".
@@rosjjaidk what you are seeing. Motorcycle clutch is left handlebar. Look closely. His hand is moving. Also he is rev matching so even if his hand wasn’t moving, it would be autoblip therefore clutch is still used. And a rev match gets rid of everything you just said sooo
