Nice truck. I just watched a video before this one and the guy was in Ireland showing a new Volvo 750 cabover. It has 750 horespower, hence, the model number 750. It has adjustable front air ride. Lots of storage to. Steering wheel was on the wrong side though lol.

Eco roll means that when the truck is coasting the transmission will slip into neutral to save fuel, but will grab the correct gear whenever the foot brake or accelerator is touched. I have tried it in an Mercedes Benz Actros and don't like it.

Nicely done this is my favorite Volvo I’ve been driving Volvo my whole career since 2012 this is the exact make another company driver flipped us in out side of Elko Nv doing about 75 before the break were applied I didn’t know which way we were flipping just we were flipping so I held tight to the center of the bunk seat belt and came out of it with some pear optic shoulder pain and my life to be greatful to team Volvo I thought this fiber glass truck was going to disintegrate on contact No No No thing actually held up really well considering Thanks Volvo and Thank you for the vid singled Brian Hampson😊
COOL VOLVO Although from your country i like PETERBILT 389 i think volvo is the most beautifull aero truck, both exterior and interior.so nice lines, clean lines the dashboard nice modern buttons not too many instruments like the old style. i also like petrbilt 567 , 579 low roof. and its very cool that some guys starts customized aerotrucks
I appreciate Volvo for their ergonomics. The driver's visibility is great and switches are smartly placed. However, the overuse of plastic makes the interior parts break easily and feel cheap. Volvo if you're reading this go take a tour inside a new Kenworth W990 or new Western Star and apply their interior asthetics and materials to your trucks.
The upper bunk needs to lower and raise like those in the front of a Class A motorhome or those in the rear of a toy hauler. That way you get the comfy mattress, you can leave your bed made up and you still get to use the dinette. And you don't have to climb up and down.
That ecoroll is a fuel saving thing. When you are going down the highway with the cruise on an there is like no load it will drop the rpms to idol. I have a 16 vhd Volvo that has it. I have only used it once or twice because of the work I do with it. Great video
As someone on the outside looking in, nice trucks. When I went through CDL school they used some old Volvo trucks and I hated them with a passion. Near the end of school I got to sit in a newer Kenworth and I thought that was the truck. But after watching this video Volvo may be my new favorite truck and you have no idea how it pains me to say that since I have spent so much time hating them since I left school, but I can admit that I was wrong to judge.
I love Volvo’s, they are awesome, but not much has changed. As for the inside cab area. BTW? I personally like sleeping on the cushions vs the mattress lol Great video 👍🏾
If you look up the European FH classic vs the FH4 then quite a lot has changed. Seeing this new American version is quite fun to look at though. It's nice that they somewhat made the styling a lot more American, the whole look is a bit more "oldschool" compared to the European versions.
Something important that you didn’t add. Those seats or swivel seats so you can turn towards the cab of the truck. That’s about a $800 upgrade that looks like a couple standard
Great Vid, Question for you have you had any issues with your Volvo, and how is the sleeper do you get great rest? I'm thinking about getting a VNL 860/ freightliner just trying to get all the (pros & cons) before moving forward in August
Scott Coon APU is for heat and cool air in the truck that runs off the diesel in the truck. Trucks will either have an auto start when they turn on once the batteries get to a certain voltage or a tri-pack which is a battery charger on the back of the truck that will charge the batteries when the truck is off
Buy an extra 6 pack of injectors , I work in Volvo parts, great trucks, but they all got short life injectors. Make sure your extended warranty covers those fuel injectors. Cant tell you how many 6 packs I sell, mostly warranted still.
Well we will see on 2019 I guess. Most of those are still pretty new. If they fixed it, great, if not we will start seeing them in the next year. Some go really fast though
My guys here tell me the common rail helped, but problem is definitely not fixed, that's coming from other Volvo parts guys and a service manager who knows.
I am not even a truck driver and I think this is cool.
Me too, this is very very nice!

The technology on the Volvo is way ahead of the rest. Love the truck.
But still years behind the technology in European trucks
But still years behind the technology trucks have in Europe
Brilliant, yes the truck is dirty, while wiping finger across hood! Good on the paint job!
Easy now.
Good way to scratch that paint up DAMN!!
It wasn't his truck so he couldn't give a shit, hopefully the owner returned the compliment. But then, he still didn't give a shit because it's probably leased
👍
i liked your video so i subscribed. Good luck you guys at RST
👍
Beautiful rig
😂
That's one bad ass rig. Very nice
👍
Definitely a very nice truck. I am a fan of Volvo for sure. Although it’s mostly what I drive.
We had a 2018 model. Not too different.
Love trucking
👍
I appreciate Volvo for their ergonomics. The driver's visibility is great and switches are smartly placed. However, the overuse of plastic makes the interior parts break easily and feel cheap. Volvo if you're reading this go take a tour inside a new Kenworth W990 or new Western Star and apply their interior asthetics and materials to your trucks.
He forgot to mention and demonstrate the removable telescopic ladder for the top bunk but other than that this was a great walk-around.
I know
Just curious , when did Volvo did away with the laser cut keys , the last two I drove was a 04 & 2015 & notice that when I drove the 2015?
The upper bunk needs to lower and raise like those in the front of a Class A motorhome or those in the rear of a toy hauler. That way you get the comfy mattress, you can leave your bed made up and you still get to use the dinette. And you don't have to climb up and down.
👍
Absolutely beautiful 🥰
👍
Nice truck!!! You should get a camera stabilizer...
👍
That ecoroll is a fuel saving thing. When you are going down the highway with the cruise on an there is like no load it will drop the rpms to idol. I have a 16 vhd Volvo that has it. I have only used it once or twice because of the work I do with it. Great video
👍
As someone on the outside looking in, nice trucks. When I went through CDL school they used some old Volvo trucks and I hated them with a passion. Near the end of school I got to sit in a newer Kenworth and I thought that was the truck. But after watching this video Volvo may be my new favorite truck and you have no idea how it pains me to say that since I have spent so much time hating them since I left school, but I can admit that I was wrong to judge.
They have come along way
I love Volvo’s, they are awesome, but not much has changed. As for the inside cab area. BTW? I personally like sleeping on the cushions vs the mattress lol
Great video 👍🏾
Not much has changed because the need is not there as AUTONOMOUS COMMERCIAL TRACTOR TRAILERS WILL REPLACE ALL DRIVERS WITHIN 10 YEARS!
You forgot the ladder in the sleeper
Great Vid,
Question for you have you had any issues with your Volvo, and how is the sleeper do you get great rest? I'm thinking about getting a VNL 860/ freightliner just trying to get all the (pros & cons) before moving forward in August
These trucks are very comfy
@@TheLittleGuyTrucker How about the maintenance on the Volvo is it reliable, or do you have a lot of issues?
19:23 how do all these electric things operate when the truck is off? Is there a separate battery?
APU....Auxiliary Power Unit
Scott Coon APU is for heat and cool air in the truck that runs off the diesel in the truck. Trucks will either have an auto start when they turn on once the batteries get to a certain voltage or a tri-pack which is a battery charger on the back of the truck that will charge the batteries when the truck is off
You yourself is a nice actor!
👍
Buy an extra 6 pack of injectors , I work in Volvo parts, great trucks, but they all got short life injectors. Make sure your extended warranty covers those fuel injectors. Cant tell you how many 6 packs I sell, mostly warranted still.
👍👍👍
Good info
Well we will see on 2019 I guess. Most of those are still pretty new. If they fixed it, great, if not we will start seeing them in the next year. Some go really fast though
My guys here tell me the common rail helped, but problem is definitely not fixed, that's coming from other Volvo parts guys and a service manager who knows.
Extended warranty that covers injectors will probably pay for itself.
That's a sharp truck, hope I get one just like it in December.
