They made it sound like Photon is very different from Laser Tag. But from what they showed, isn't it literally the exact same thing as Laser Tag?
Kind of like comparing formula 1 to go cart racing. Same concept, but on a bigger scale.

More like 1987-88. In 1997 there was only one photon open, and it opened in late 1996 after the original in that area closed in 1992, with another original photon lasting till 1995 in Chicago.
If you were referring to photon, not lasertag as a whole.

In Britain we call it laser quest.
That is just one brand of laser tag.
@@k.h.1587 Sure that is a one brand but we used that brand name as part of british language when describing laser tag. We used trademarked names to describe things all of the times.
@@stealthinator00 I am familiar with the phenomenon, like calling all tissues Kleenex in the states. I just never heard of laserquest being used genetically for lasertag in Brittain. I was very active in the online newsgroup community in the 90s and that wasn't a thing back then. Quasar (Q-zar) megazone (ultrazone/darkzone/zone3/zone empire) and a few others were just as popular in the UK back then and were all referred to as lasertag. You guys also had a pretty big outdoor scene using WOW lazertag back then.
