De Hutterites geloofs- gemeenschappen, o.a. in de Canadese provincie Manitoba, spelen een belangrijke rol in de landbouwproductie van Canada. Ook de soortgelijke Amish gemeenschappen in de Verenigde Staten zijn steeds nadrukkelijker aanwezig in de agrarische wereld op het Noord-Amerikaanse continent.
Het Amerikaanse landbouw- en veevoerconcern Alltech maakte een promofilm over de samenwerking tussen deze onderneming en de Canadese Hutterites. Zij bieden daarmee een unieke blik op deze leefgemeenschappen, die bewust in isolement leven maar wel gebruik maken van de moderne techniek.

SINCE MEETING THE LATE PROFESSOR jOHN aNDREW hOSTETLER WHO WROTE " Amish Society" and "hutterite society" have learned to respect and admire these excellent christian farmers who have branched out to Australia and hopefully New Zealand, and even one colony of japanese hutterites, apeople worth knowing and loving as brethren in Christ who may teach the world an example of brotherly accord.

Google Rickpit Farm and Elmdorf Christian community, they take in outsiders they are an independent Hutterite community.
If every farm was interested in raising healthy farm products instead of the almighty dollar, we would not be getting so many diseases. Hooray for your farming practices.

Hutterite colonies are the only successful way of being small scale socialist, because they actually do very well in capitalist society. I have done business with many in great plains of the US as well as Mennonites and Amish most all are good humans and very hard working honest people.

There are some independent Hutter communities, that you can visit and find out if it is for you, they take in people who aren't from s hutterite background. Rockpit Farm is one example Elmdorf Christian community is another.

i worked on a farm with some hutterites and lots of muslims. nicest people ever, not the muslims. also most of our larger processing machines came from holland so i assume that is what this company does.
