Materials: pencil, sheet, glass prism, scale , protractor, pins Procedure: 1) Fix the sheet with the help of pins on the table. 2) Remove the prism and draw incident ray at an angle of say 30°, with respect to the normal. 3) Fix two pins on the incident ray with some distance between them. 4) Now while looking the pins through the prism, fix two more pins where emergent ray will come from prism. All the four pins must lie at a straight line. Join the four points where pins were fixed. 5) Using protractor measure the angle between incident and emergent ray which is angle of deviation. 6) Repeat the above steps for different angles of incidence and find agle of deviation for them. Precautions: 1) While tracing the boundaries of prism on sheet, the sheet should not move. 2) Angle of incidence should be drawn wrt normal. 3) While fixing the pins of emergent ray, all the pins should lie at the same straight line. Sources of error: 1) The pins may not be in a straight line which will give wrong results.

Tumhe theory se sab definitions jaise angle of minimum deviation, dispersion, laws of refraction aur wheatstone bridge principle acche se yaad hona chahiye.
