Best ever: "Just give me the damn camera and I 'll take a picture" Changed my vision about photography... We all have to remember why we started taking photos, because it's FUN!!
"now many artists don't have skills, they just have a concept" this is very interesting as my experience thus far has been meeting artists who have skills but do not have a concept
Very well done Kai..loved it. Now you should create one about.. How to sell your Photographs.. and try to sell some in the streets in those neighborhoods you are usually walking into..
Oh my God, Kai... :D You're personality just makes me happy. Friggin hell, I laugh more at your tutorials than I expect to. It's a nice way of teaching. :D
OMG! I can totally relate to the framing catastrophe. I just want to cry when I think about framing. Too bad you didn't have a mental fit at the show when your work fell out of the frame. Now, that would be an artist thing to do. Love your view of art. It's in the eye of the beholder. Or it's in the eye of the blind beholder. That woman artist was a good sport. I love how you almost lose it and laugh throughout the video. I think your video is the art.
I like how she's able to come up with an idea for what to do with a picture of feet. It actually sounded kinda cool, getting to walk on the feet, would actually be fun! Sure it would have to be executed right but there's an idea there.
I'm guessing this is a guide on "Guide on how NOT to hold your own Art Photography exhibition"... Still fun to watch, we need more Alambi on screen or even she doing some videos like Kai, cheers to all DigitalRev team :)
Kai you know the saying as well as I do ..."you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink". Keep going everyone and one thing is for sure you will get better at what you do.....have a heart for art.
I like kai's photo. Wouldn't comission him but I like looking at them. Art is whatever you want it to be. Do the photo for yourself to be happy and don't worry about pleasing everyone.
I do art photography and this video is very interesting. Every picture i present as art has a concept and message. Now that doesn't mean you can go take a photo of a stairwell and consider it art. Being able to have a concept and meaning makes you a good artist but being able to master the medium, in this case, photography, makes you a good photographer. Art photography is the combination of these two.
The funniest part--- His photos are actually pretty good and ironically more artistic than many modern so-called fine art photographs. The sad part, he killed the roach. He should be more careful.
lol when he starts to fail that hard with this guitar melody in the background that really makes me a bit nervous.... but thats why i love this hahahah
Contemporary art belongs to photographers - such as Jeff Wall. I love the work of Cartier-Bresson however HBC no longer represents contemporary art. The problem with this video is that it mocks those striving to make art - in a comedic way. Having said that, I still like these videos - they stimulate thought and discussion.
wow! really helped...should be holding a fashion exhibition show sometimes next year..just for creative younger fashion stars under 23 years of age next year....any advice
I think art is a combination of how good one is at it or skill, the time and effort it took to produce the art, (Not one day) and impeccable finishing to the pieces ie: Better framing, titles, have someone else make the canape's, get some actual matts cut. Oh yeah, and price it high like you deserve it. It looked like you were trying to puposefully half-ass it to make a point...or maybe that was the point; don't half-ass it. At least you had champagne. :)
Nice -- I agree give me the camera and I'll take the picture. As far as the young lady goes, her advice was very good. I think she can help your next exhibition . She's also cute as heck. Take her out to dinner!!!
The word "chinese" is an English word and is defined by English usage. Let's check the dictionary: Chinese 1. the standard language of China, based on the speech of Beijing; Mandarin. 2. a group of languages of the Sino-Tibetan family, including standard Chinese and most of the other languages of China So "Chinese" should only refer to Mandarin. But can be applied to Cantonese if you're talking about its language group, similar to how Spanish can be called Latin.
The conversation with Oychir is one of the greatest bits of DigitalRev.
Oychir is adorable, I agree Grumpy cat ;)
4:13:
"That's what I call art... doesn't make sense... doesn't matter."
ahahaha :D
Art is a soul revealing itself. It teaches us to learn about ourselves.
Best ever:

Kai's finishing sentences encapsulates it absolutely. Pretty impressing.
"now many artists don't have skills, they just have a concept" this is very interesting as my experience thus far has been meeting artists who have skills but do not have a concept
Kai has all of the work ethic and direction of a blind weasel; that, plus his accent make him comedy gold.
Photography is an art, cause that image can represent something like feelings or a certain unique physical setting.
Very well done Kai..loved it. Now you should create one about.. How to sell your Photographs.. and try to sell some in the streets in those neighborhoods you are usually walking into..
keep on making videos kai! you're a unique guy on youtube who combines entertainment and photography!
Kai, This video is by far your most brilliant work! Should do more like this. I watched this one three times and I think you can expand on this.
Oh my God, Kai... :D
You're personality just makes me happy. Friggin hell, I laugh more at your tutorials than I expect to.
It's a nice way of teaching. :D
I love her she seems so artistically great and really smart

Thank you Kai for being yourself...

More interviews with local artists would be a good idea.

"what do they know about art anyway"
spoken like a true artist
The funniest part--- His photos are actually pretty good and ironically more artistic than many modern so-called fine art photographs.
The sad part, he killed the roach. He should be more careful.
I'm actually amazed how many people watch both Top Gear and DigitalRev.
Oychir spoke a lot of very good points. She is truly an artist.
lol when he starts to fail that hard with this guitar melody in the background that really makes me a bit nervous.... but thats why i love this hahahah

"Just give me the damn camera, and I'll take a picture." THAT should be on a t-shirt!
Pls..never let Kai do this kind of work. he probaly will not survive. nice video
That's bloody true. I always thought about it.
It's good advise for many art photographers
You are awesome dude, you have the same sense of humor as Jeremy Clarkson, from TOP GEAR, UK
Excellent,
very funny, yet inspiring.
The interview with the artist was quite interesting.
Kai is the Remi of photography!

One could say that DigitalRev is just another product of a throw-away society.
First time I heard you speak Chinese. Reminds me of top gear season 14 -the art gallery. Good job
Kai We Love You
Absolutely hilarious. I wasn't expecting to laugh so hard.
kai...kai...wassup with u and food? almost every episode with food is a mess...xD
I CAN'T UNSEE IT NOW

You make your mother proud.
Relax. What you're talking about is basically what Kai is showing. He knows what he's doing.
I get the feeling that kai is a actually a genius in disguise

I ♥ DigitalRevTV!!! its brilliantly rubbish! :)) but this Art topic is very inspirational with the comedy aside. More power Kai!!!:))
i love how you can walk in the middle of the road without getting hit... the italians need to learn how to do that xD
9:15 I used to live two blocks away from there, it's Tusen Wan!! Now that I've moved to usa for some times now and I am still missing Hong Kong!!
I got a question, is he only acting clumsy or is he really clumsy? :D Kai rocks

I would come to your show, Kai. I would come.

I think your video is an example of the opposite of "anyone can be an artist".
Malteses!
That music at the end of this video, does it have a title?
I share your definition of art "It doesn't make sense, it doesn't matter!"
i love your frames coz i hate crystal. where do u buy them please?
Kai should learn more about Polaroid.. it is fun too~ :P
A conceptual wong-kar-wai type video eh ? nice.
You are an anticlimax!!!!
Should had showed on youtube you had an expo would had more people viewing it.
I thought he can't speak Cantonese xD
This real art..
