Looks to me like Jen either had a bad day cashing up or had an error and fixed it however she could! Surprised you didn’t find a washer or a 2p in there as well 🤣😂🤣😂
I spent £3 on one of those chunky 50ps (a 1973 EEC joining) in an antique shop recently, because I wanted to go down memory lane. It was worth it. Definitely my favourite find in todays video 👍
@@dizzybee7386 as in they are so out of it as to age they dont know 50p size changes , and I could not be bothered to go to covent garden and sell to the japanense tourists at £5 each .
Interesting 👍 Just like I suggested the £2 Charles Darwin was getting rarer and above face value so I’m going to call the ‘ordinary’ Battle of Britain 50p as one that I find is now above face value.
Because I lived in Cornwall and been watching your epic videos Christopher. I also subscribed and liked your videos as well. I managed to find a Memorial 50p with King Charles 3rd on the portrait for my own collection. :)
Some nice finds and some rather unusual ones, lol. Finally got my Paddington at the Cathedral 50p, last Paddington I needed and felt like it took forever to find lol (just going through change I get in the shop I work at - I have permission to swap commemoratives I find for a regular 50p from my change, thankfully they trust me 😊)
As always I love seeing your new videos pop up ⬆️ :) great finds and I also find the exact same Mauritius 50p in change before few months ago, had to keep it
great video again i was lucky again, post office, normally get 2 bags to check, £20 worth. one bag was a sealed one of the memorial coin, thats 3 full bags now, sits with my full bags of platinum jubilee. would they carry more worth being bagged even if common? i like them and keep commons too
The brown coin that's had the patina filed down is probably a river find. I find brown coins like this all the time after a few years in the river Thames (I'm a licence Thames mudlark) . If they are spendies (in circulation still), I'd use things like a brillo pad to clean them off just enough that I can use them again in a shop. I think that's what you have there a recovered river find 👍🏼
A brillow pad may scratch it, id leave it in some protective type cleaning solution thats no doubt on the market somewhere now, and just dry off with a soft micro fibre cloth
@@User10111 I don't use a brillo pad with old coin finds. I use it with spendies if they are really brown and a shop is unlikely to accept them as cash.
not a bad hunt a little thin on over face coins if not for the platnum jubilee and the pride the B potter would be your only older keeper i think some of the older keepers are pretty much done now but time will tell.
Eeew. You do come out with some sayings, CC. Christopher's soiled Bunnies kinda puts me right off my tea LOL What year did the 'New Pence' change to 'Fifty Pence'?
Chris, obviously you’re wasting huge amounts of plastic which is all going to landfill and it seems in this video you have an aversion to reusable bags. Are you doing anything to offset this waste ? Not trying to be negative, love the vids 👍🏻

I reconised that sort code stait away. I worked at Weymouth branch for several years. Hi Jen if you look at this.

Chris prob found the one I pushed in to a v young checkout girl , I suppose I could have made a £2 extra but no problem.

Love the Mauritius 10 Rupees, and I once had a 1970 chunky 50p in a hunt. Still unusual to find them in bags.

At 12:00 minutes, that looks like a metal detectorists find! lol I have found similar coins and then spent them. Haha!

I’ve now started to see the new King Charles 3 50p coins in my change. Nice looking coin.
I like the chucky 50p, and it's the star find of the hunt.

Some unusual but interesting finds I like the Mauritius 🇲🇺 10 rupees
Great stuff Christopher 👍🏻
great video again

I got two bags of King Charles 111 also like you I'm keeping them sealed 🤐

Just put the coin in a salt and vinegar solution for 5 minutes it brings white metal coins back like new ish .
Great Hunt! 👍, star find goes to that Mauritius 10 rupee as I’ve never seen one before especially in bag with 50ps
Wow some amazing finds and pretty odd ones to find. I do find some odd ten pence coins in my quarter hunts in Canada.
Bar the three odd balls a very sparse bottom row. Keep hunting
Your title says it all. Thanks stay safe
Very interesting hunt it has to be the coin from Mauritius my ⭐️ find👌👍
11:50 yay i like when u keep these
why did they make the 50ps smaller?
also i got one those 6:16
I really like the Mauritius coin
Some very unusual finds i do like that Mauritus 10 Rupees thats your star find for me shout out for the large Brittania all the best.
Class got a few coins mentioned going to check them 👏 hats of sir
Jen CB30 sounds like C3PO's sister 🤣🤣
Where did you get those coin placeholders?
My thoughts exactly
its true never know what your gonna find great video
My favourite for today is the coin from Mauritius 👌.
That oddities box got a lot of action today 👍
Love the Mauritius find!
Found my first commemorative today in North London, only keeping this one.
Where do you buy the albums with the labels in them!🙈🙌🏼
My question exactly ?
Loving the new quarter finish 👍
Hola!!
I Got a king Charles the third 50p in my collection of coins and only five Olympic coins and S for the 10ps for
Stonehenge
4:38 did think it was the new man on the coins now
Unbelievable that the old 50p turned up in a bag from the bank - I have a few in my collection
10 Mauritius Rupees = 19p. Whoever is spending those over here in the UK is getting a good deal!
My thoughts exactly. If ever on holiday in Mauritius bring back a load and filter them into bags when paying 50ps in at the PO. Happy days profit 🤣
Does the shop have a sealed 2009 kew for sale? Im looking for one next month.
Thanks andy.
Christopher is luckier than a pub called the 4 leaf clovers full of horseshoes and tortoise looking cats
Hello Christopher!
👍😎👍
Got a question?
How many coins are in the small bags of the 50 p and the 2pound
There are 20 coins in the bags of 50p and 10 coins in the bags of 2 pound
@@mih759 Thank you

We had Twenty Twenty Kew (or maybe not) but what is a coin for Twenty Twenty Flee ?
He would make a great peter parker
Could have been worse Chris, the hair could have been shorter one of the Pubic varieties ?
You should sell the insert cards in your album.
He was gifted them by someone who no longer makes them
That brown 50p could possibly been washed around on a beach I found a similar 10p on a beach with similar wear and discolouration
Hello

Interesting that you’re finding 2022 coins in a bag allegedly sealed in 2021. Unless I’m missing something!?
Bag was dated 17.11.22
