A marvelous follow up to "Running on the spot!" Spamcan's constant visits to Sodor are very poetic. He bellitles the engines, digs his own grave, and then needs rescuing from the same engines he belittled! Loved the little bits of the signalmen loosing his cool, the way you described spamcan's internal crisis, and how you emphasized the grandure of the word THUNDEROUS! These are characters we all love, but they're also machines! And what elegant machines those old iron horses (and those oversized boxes on wheels (no ill intent towards diesels, I meant it with endearment)) are. I also love the trio you've formed. Edward, the wise old sage who still has some lessons of his own to learn, Spamcan, the present day hotshot who's doomed to return to Sodor and make a fool out of himself, and Gordon, once THE hotshot who always landed himself in trouble due to his ego, now a matured engine, while still very much self important, he's mellowed out, and is the perfect bridge between Edward and the Spamcan. The distant past, the past, and the future. Am I over reading things? Definitely. But that's something all writers are ill fated with LOL.
I like how at first Gordon wasn't pleased to see Spamcan return to Sodor once again by delaying his and Edward's trains to suddenly helping him back to the Mainland with a humble smile on his face rather than laughing at his misfortune and leaving him to die in the snow. I also really love your sense of rhyming and alliterations when the narrator says "Gordon in concentration, Spamcan in contemplation". This is how you can rewrite Sharon Miller's writing rather than being annoying and repetitive! ;)
YO WHAT! There's a sequel! Another great sorry Mike I absolutely love this one especially with Christmas upon us. Keep up the good work man and I can't wait to see more.
I love D199 as a foil to the Sodor engines, and I was really charmed to see him soften a little and lose a teensy bit of his edge - BUT, I’m so glad the end leaves him still far from redeemed! He did Sodor a good turn, and Sodor did him a good turn. As far as Spamcan sees it, tit-for-tat; things can go back to normal, now - they never need mention these events, again!

I'm starting to think that Spamcan coming to the island during the winter is some winter tradition now lol
YES
A Part 2 Of Running On The Spot? Awesome!
More like the sequel to that story.
British rail could send anyone, but they send spamcan to get them off their hands for a day
I bet all other diesels don't like spam-can. Sending him to Sodor gives them a break from his complaining.

A follow up to Running On The Spot? Excellent! One I can't wait to see be animated in the coming months.
I wish I found out about this channel sooner. I’ve seen adaptations of your wonderful stories all the time.
Part two!? Mike you spoil us!
This was unexpected! Nice sequel to running on the spot!
A great sequel to Running on the Spot. Didn't expect to see Spamcan being a softie for once.
This was a wonderful story I know what I know what I’m doing when I get home

Two Edward and Spamcan Stories At Once.
I can only see Edward giving the first half of the story to the others by New Year's.
Excellent!
An epic holiday story!
Two videos in 30 minutes? That's a first (for me)
