Great recap Ken - enjoying your play throughs and it looks like you are having as much fun as I had playing it. It’s a really great campaign to bring out for games night and I’m still going to play alongside Into The Unknown - they are going to scratch different itches! Board Game Geek has some great fan made extra AttackWing /Alliance campaigns too
Thank you for watching, I'm glad you are enjoying the playthroughs! We'll have to see where we are at once the entire Dominion War campaign has been finished on the channel. I'm just now finishing Voyager for the first time (never saw the final season) and have a desire to check out the Delta Quadrant campaign. We're looking at ways to showcase the minis for Into the Unknown, so that may prove interesting for the channel. - Ken
Great recap! I'm glad to hear you're continuing with parts 2 and 3 with the campaign. This last mission for part 1 is going to be tough, but having an Intrepid-class ship should really help.
Thank you, Danny! It was decided that yet another ship upgrade was needed for the final battle. Extra firepower will hopefully help us out. The Intrepid is one heckuva ship though. I can see why John likes it. Really looking forward to parts 2 and 3 - we'll probably do an off-camera run through to prep for filming (determine which mins we need to find / make). - Ken
@@IONRadio Honestly, I think the key strength of the Intrepid class for the final mission is speed, not firepower. You don't need to destroy a single thing in order to win (although extra XP from destroyed weapons platforms is nice). You just need to survive to turn 5 and then escape, but you have no idea where your escape edge is going to be. If it appears on the opposite edge of the map, you'll want that forward-6 to increase your odds of survival. Alternatively, you could equip a Galaxy-class with Helmsman to increase a forward-5 to a forward-6, but you may not have the action economy required to do that repeatedly.
