- When John tells us "do not love the world", the main thing he has in mind is not the possessions in the world. Rather his emphasis is on not falling in love with the world's attitudes and and mindsets. To love the world is to love what is opposed to God.

I'll Be Honest Hey ill be honest glad you replied ill check out the link, will you help me out im troubled in my mind lacking faith in jesus fearful to accept the blood of jesus and sacrafice which is not good at all, and i think revelations may describe someone like me reffered to as the fearful and unbelieving whom will have part in lake of fire. will you ask your team and office to pray for me, for God to give me faith in the blood of jesus and to give me great faith and trust in jesus. I think that would be good, ive also been filled with doubt and worry questions arising in my mind when reading bible, i feel quite scared that im going to hell.
so please pray for me to trust in blood of jesus and the other stuff i said before and if you guys have good things to add, pray for peace to me from the lord Jesus.

Hi, Jeepsi. I must lovingly encourage you to read Romans 14 and 1 Corinthians 10. Great chapters that deal with Christian liberty and conviction of conscience. With things like alcohol which are not explicitly prohibited in scripture, we must each decide what works best for US (enjoying what brings us closer to God and removing from our lives that which doesn't) and not condemn others for the choices they make provided they fall within the will of God and are not inherently sinful or glorifying wickedness (I say this as someone who never drinks).
However, if by "drink" you simply mean to get drunk or to drink excessively, you'd be absolutely right! That would be worldly AND explicitly prohibited by scripture!
