Thank you for the very kind and great interview, Enigma! I very much enjoyed being your guest and found the approach very refreshing and interesting to say the least. Thank you! If you haven't yet, anyone, check out his other videos and interviews as well: it is all awesome stuff. We all hope the cold war success story continues and wish you the very best! With the kindest regards from the entire Heatblur Team 🙏🙌💪
This is the last interview and the channel will go back to regular content. I have spent a lot of time flying F-5 lately so expect F-5 videos soon. Let me know what you thought about this series and/or this interview below, thanks!
@@TechGaming45 Yes, definitely the community modders and maybe other Cold War server owners to get their perspectives? I think they could compare and contrast differences in the servers and approaches, pros and cons.
I recently bought the Mig21 bis because I discovered your server, AND I have finally gotten up the courage to go onto multiplayer over the past few days (after 15 or so years with DCS) so that I can prepare for the Cold War server. I'm learning the plane right now and enjoying its unique challenges, but your videos inspired me to get onto multiplayer in the cold war era.
I very much enjoyed the interview series and will eagerly await any new ones that might hopefully come up again in the medium or long future. Very well done.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for listening. I think this was a super niche subject but I am glad that I got them all done and was able to document it for everyone.
Actually the first of these interviews I watch and I love it. Great idea and it's great to see you get so much time with the module makers, it's awesome from their side as well as yours. Well done!
Great interview, I very much enjoyed it. A lot of things resonated with me especially as i'm getting back into flight siming after a long break. Time and no money or money and no time ... now i have a bit of time and a bit of money (never an excess unfortunately)!
Awesome as always. I bought the viggen and love it! I won’t get the f 14 for a long long time, not my thing, too much movie hype for me. I like weird stuff!
Sorry to hear there won't be any more interviews for a while, I really liked the series. With all these new developers doing Cold War aircraft, there will be opportunities to create new interviews. I would especially like to hear from the guys doing MiG-17.
The Enigma server is so good, even more people should be playing DCS. ED should try to finance and support servers like these. ED can help to expand the server for a larger player count and alleviate lag problems. The Engima server should serve as a template on how DCS multiplayer servers should be.
I think it would be a great amazing idea for module makers down the line from the initial release of the module to make add-on Weapons and or weapon Systems for their modules over the base weapons platforms but in the same sense it shouldn't become a pay to play thing. and the weapons couldn't be better than the original ones that came with the plane so it doesn't make it I have to get this weapon to win or not die because that would upset the balance of the whole ecosystem around that module. though, it would be cool to get updates Beyond the normal updates and the module makers should get reimbursed for their time and energy when they go above and beyond to bring something new to the platform. it is a very fine line, just like with everything in life that's worth its weight.
Why is the Viggens munitions limited in the server? i think its severely handicapped since it can only fill one role at a time. nonetheless I have lots of even if I'm dying more often than not.
The Viggen weapons outside of the BK90 is actually under-restricted. The Viggen for our time period should not have wingtip sidewinders and only be able to carry Mavs as the Viggen variant we have is from the 90s. The BK90 is restricted due to the lag it causes
@@Enigma89 I see, I was also wondering if, in case a Vietnam map ever releases, you'd strictly keep Vietnam accurate planes or would you keep in planes like the F1/F14/Mig-29/Viggen etc. that don't really fit in that scenario?
We need 5th gen fighters like f35, su 57, or 4.5 gen fighters like the su 35, f18 e or more graphical cockpit fighters, these higher tech will definitely sellout

Thank you for time again that was a very interesting discussion!

So no more interviews then? :(
I hope you can continue doing interviews with the other devs.
Maybe some interviews with some modders like the A-4 guys...

I always thought the Heatblur missions had a very theatrical and cinematic quality to them that very few missions in DCS have. Guess I know why now!

Aways interesting to hear from heatblur
Thanks for doing the interview with Heatblur. I greatly enjoyed these inside looks into The Process, it puts a lot of things in context.
Thanks for giving it a listen
Great convo. Thank you both!

Thanks for the kind words, it takes an immense amount of work to keep the server going between everyone on the staff. There are 12+ of us.

@@Enigma89 ahh yeah i see, it makes sense. thank you for the clarification
Curious how many variants of the A-6 we will have.
Will the F4 be locked by the credits system on the server like the F-14/Mig-29 or will it be free?
We will figure it out when we get there.
