  • February 11th is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science by UNESCO. It was established to create opportunities to promote full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls.
UNESCO reports that female researchers constitute an average of 33.3% globally and that despite the critical role of STEM in driving economies and its vital role in meeting the green transition goals, achieving gender equality remains a challenge.
In the video, we interviewed Jenni Rinker, Associate Professor and Katarina Obradovic, PhD Student at DTU Wind and Energy Systems.
They share their journeys into the world of science, their insights on the topic and advise aspiring scientists.
Special thanks to the WISE for their inputs. WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) is a self-organized discussion group in our department created in 2018 focus on diversity.
