  • Video interview with Nadine Kabbara on her research project: "Engineering, Simulation, and Validation of Software- Defined Protection Automation and Control in Power Systems"
"Traditionally, power system protection, automation and control have long been designed following a more non-flexible, non-upgradeable "ticket option". [...]Such a design principle facing the uncertainties of future power grids will be very unsustainable. So the idea, by using the software define principle, is trying to tick that flexible option when designing future power system control". shares Nadine about the impact of the project.
Nadine's Host Organisation is EDF. Her PhD-enrolment is at the University of Utrecht.
Research Directors: Thierry Coste,Madeleine Gibescu and Hugo Morais.
InnoCyPES has received funding from the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programme. Part of Horizon Europe, the MSCA is the European Union's flagship funding programme for doctoral education and postdoctoral training of researchers. The project started in January 2021 and will be completed in December 2024. It is led by Associate Professor Guangya Yang from DTU Wind and Energy Systems.
