Cameraman had one job, it would’ve been nice to see which direction he was turning the front drive wheels

Actually he did his job, after it's in there with a couple of maneuvers and straight back adjustments you got it.

I like that the driver used GOAL! And he knew to 'pull forward' to get the tractor in front of the trailer! Nice job!

I used too struggle with offset backing I've gotten so much better at it, now I'm practicing a 90 degree Alley dock backing. I cancelled my road test because I failed my road test on July 25th while performing an offset backing to the Right. My school rebooked my road test for September 19th I told them I wanted to do my road test in a different city it has a 2 lane Highway and more room for backing, the only downfall to that is the exammer will either tell you to do an offset backing or a 90 degree Alley dock backing with cones. Since I'm doing my road test at a different location I have to practice 90 degree Alley dock backing, because I don't know which backing I will be asked to do. I'm currently having trouble with the 90 degree Alley dock backing as I keep turning too early into the cone rather then into the actual spot, so I have another lesson on Friday September 16th I'm gonna do the 90 degree backing again while backing straight and not turning too early but rather at the right timing. It's all about watching the Rear tandem while making sure you aren't going to hit any cones. On the real road test it's an automatic fail for hitting a cone, the key is to pay attention when your instructor is telling you when to turn and how to correct the trailer before it's too late. Where I live we get 3 free pull ups and unlimited get out and look while backing up within 10 minutes, before the timer runs out.

you have to stop focusing solely on the cone. just youse the cone as a reference point but do not aim at the cone. keep a bend in your trailer and hold that bend away from the cone. focus on the bend first then control the bend as you spy on the cone. the closer you get to the cone your trailer should have already started to go around the cone be for you even get close to the cone. set your self up in away to get it during your pull-ups as long as you put the tandems in and having it point towards the box your pull ups can save you. one more tip soo I mastered the pull up game. I learned how to use the pull ups at weird angles because I knew I wasn't getting it first try so that's what saved me. your instructor will tell you to keep starting all the way over that's a No no because your going to do the same maneuver every time so learn how to correct it using your pull ups and you will fill much better. every one learns different and I am one of those guys smh I had to teach myself. ATTT! FOCUS ON CORRECTIONS DURING PULL UPS. ANGLE THAT TRAILER BEFORE YOU EVEN GET TO THE BOX THEN CONTROL THAT ANGLE AND GO TURTLE SLOW SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT YOUR TRAILER IS DOING. ask me any thing I will respond.

@@bigblocc301 Trust me you are coming in to fast! go slower than what your going so you can see what those trailer tires are doing if you are coming in too hot you will not be able to point the trailer in a different direction. I went 1mph when I took mines and as a professional I still go 1mph the reason why you are to close to the cone is because you are pushing the trailer wheels down to close to the cones with out turning it in.ATT. turn the trailer a little before you get to the cones you have to put angle on it sooner.go slow now you will be able to see what the tire are doing. if you are to close turn left towards you and it will move away than turn right passenger side to turn it into the box, the turn left again. you will get it just try to fix it when you are down there pull up as much as you need. but not to much only pull up enough to move the wheels away from the cone restarting all over never really worked for me ! but might work for you peace.

@@acemac1844 thank you I have to retake it Tuesday ima take it super slow if I get it again because the computer decides what maneuver I get either parallel which is easy or the alley dock I was so discouraged because I hadn’t lost any points leading up to that point

Went to prime and had a horrible experience with the schooling program. No good trainers, not enough women trainers because the dudes claim thier wives don't want women on their truck. Specify that the schooling program is for men only then. 🙄😑 Then the trainer I got had a loose screw and I didn't really learn anything from him. never again. I currently have two weeks left before I test out in the school I'm in. Thank God I have instructors that can just teach and let me be on my way...simple. Nowadays people make things so difficult when it shouldn't have to be. Now when I went this was back in 2014. Idk how it is now but hopefully they have gotten better.

well, you filmed the cab up close and didn't show me how far from the park spot you were before starting, and then I don't see the entire truck (watching how the front wheels move) in relation to the parking spot. we need a wider angle to show all. Once the camera moved "into" the parking spot, I could see the steering tires movements and the trailers reactions better.
