Aventus and Fahrenheit sounds great .. I never thought of that.. my favorite layering is le male with givenchy Pi.. it never fails , whenever I wear it I get crazy random compliments..
The birch from the Aventus and the petrol vibe from Fahrenheit give a aromatic, smokey, sweet, woody scent that is exceptional, another great combo is YSL l homme + Spicebomb. I’m gonna have to pick up Givenchy Pi next time around and try that out next.
Scentless soaps and deodorants are my go to hacks. Another hack which I haven't tried and should is buying the soap, after shave, or body lotion of the cologne that I'm wearing.
I don’t use liquid soap I use a bar of soap (white people 🤷♂️) but lately I’ve been using a fragrance free bar of soap and then using a body wash (I’ve been using my Acqua Di Gio/Armani Code Profumo or oddly my Dunhill Century) and even wearing a different fragrance to the body wash I’ve used I feel I’ve gotten better performance from my fragrance 🤷♂️🤷♂️ go figure
I would personally stay away from the aftershave lotion for numerous reasons...I'd use it on the back of my neck or chest though. Many people forget that facial skin is more delicate than the rest of their skin and shaving your face with a razor is pretty traumatic to the outer surface...that and the vast majority of men use shaving creams with menthol in it, which is a definite no-go. Find a good shaving gel instead and use very light, soothing/nourishing ingredients after. All the other accessories they throw into those gift packs seem fine, although I am dubious about how effective the antiperspirants are.
@@skippy8696 I don't shave my face just my head and my neck. I don't use a razor so using aftershave won't bother my skin surface since that skin is tougher than on my face.

If you're planning on wearing a fragrance & going out a bar of white dove soap is the best way to go . I usually shower at night before I go to sleep to avoid having to rush in the morning so I like using body wash since I won't be going anywhere after
I use a lot of really good scented bodywash. I just pick cologne afterwards that at least somewhat fits with it and doesnt clash with the bodywash. Its not difficult if you have a decent selection to choose from. Plus, in most cases the cologne overpowers the scent of the bodywash anyway, so I dont think people are really gonna notice. Never had any issues with it myself.
I use Cremo Moisturizing Body Wash, and I choose my scent almost like layering. Like, I'll use the bourbon vanilla scent and match it with Wanted by Night. Goes perfect with the amber, fruity, spicy, woody, sweetness. Or Sage and Citrus, which basically smells exactly like Aqua Di Gio, and then I pair it with Light Blue or Aqua Di Gio, or Perry Ellis Red.
Thanks Dallas! I tried your layering suggestions and layered Parfums Vintage Emperor (Aventus inspired) with the Alexandria Fragrance's Zion (Elysium inspired). Wow! Just Wow! Please consider doing a video of recommended layering combos, may 5 or 10 combos. Keep up the great work!
Here’s one not many really knows about. - Get a really good scent free moisturizer (Aveeno is best). - Open and pour in 20-30ml of your favourite fragrance that somewhat lacks performance (many doing this with Aventus). - Mix. - Now you have your fragrance scented moisturizer which lasts twice as long.
A simple thing I do, I buy the gift set of the fragrance so i have both the shower gel and fragrance. I also try to pick up the bodyspray/deodorant of the fragrance also. This then helps to prolong and improve the performance of the scent.
I have not had a problem with using body wash. I like to layer the fragrance. Out of the shower 2- 3 sprays. On the under shirt 2- 3 sprays. That works for me.
I use a scented body wash and usually it doesn’t clash...the scent is so light that it actually adds a slight “note”, plus it fades anyway....it’s kind of layering in a sense
when people get choked out on the elevator its usually because 1. they had just applied it as they left the house or 2- its something cheap I like to layer an EDT overtop of an EDP which i spray on my skin
Interesting. I have had some great comments on my washing scented beads i through in every wash. Very little positive comments on the expensive fragrance I am wearing.
Have any of you tried layering tf tobacco vanille and tuscan leather?(3:1/2:2) That shit smells like a million dollars, i get complements every time i wear it.
here’s a really big thing to increase the longevity of your fragrances put a little bit of vegetable glycerin on your areas that you want to have the fragrance last longer it will keep it from resolving into your skin as quickly but let it settle into your skin I’d like Vaseline a sleeve also cause pore blockage which can cause blackheads and pimples I make my own columns and fragrances as well as using others as well I have a massive collection of actually gonna start my own channel soon not just for fragrances but for hair products and every day fashion for men who don’t wanna have to spend hundreds or thousands on clothesBut I’ll make sure you also know where the proper pulse points are for your cologne or two areas on your neck there is your wrist your center arm or your elbow Ben’s it’s called the anticubical(might be spelled wrong lol) anyways those areas along and making sure you get it on the back of your neck and also on your shirt in the chest area like he mentioned honestly without going too heavy you can do one or half a spray on each side of your neck one on the backside of your neck one or two on your shirt and then one or half a spray on your wrists and your center arm(aka anticubical)
Thanks for the scent free body wash. That's one I'm guilty of and need to change. Do the rest though. Not a big fan of layering except in certain situations. Have had bad luck with it. But good tips!
Excellent tips, man. ¡Thanks a lot!... P.D. Just a little advice from an older man; Trim your beard for a cleaner look, it will grow full with the time. You gotta look sharp to match with your fragrances knowledge.
The key is to take a hot shower and make sure you’re clean before applying it. Put on lotion and deodorant when you get out the shower and then put the cologne on while your pores are still open and it should last for hours... spray on more later if necessary
ok, so i have a question. when spraying on myself say, 5 sprays, should i disperse those sprays all on different areas of the neck, or should i do 2-3 sprays on the same area followed by 1-2 sprays on another area?
Wow...ur thumbnail has one of my favorite layers...Sauvage EDT plus Prada Luna Rossa Sport = Sauvage Parfum (just better smelling, longer lasting and greater sillage and projection!). Sauvage EDT actually layers well and adds an element of freshness to many sweet fragrances.
Ok as I said though I am speaking of Luna Rossa Sport with the red stripe and red base...a tonka, vanilla, lavender scent which smells nothing like Carbon (or Sauvage).
@@robertarmstrong6015 yeah i know but you said in the thumbnail that was luna rossa sport its actually luna carbon ..sort of a weird mix mixing a summer frangrance with a winter dont u think? I use prada luna sport when it gets cold it has a sweet powder vanilla smell
Yep...u described it perfectly. Don't know if I would call it a winter scent as it is rather light. I find that when layered it does give off a Sauvage parfum vibe and certainly is much better performing. I know it sounds a bit odd but Sauvage EDT layers very well with many such fragrances because once the bergamot fades its mostly that pepper/ambroxan combo which doesnt clash with a lot of scent profiles but simply adds a layer of freshness which can add to the appeal. Try the Prada LR Sport/Sauvage EDT combo (for night wear I do a spray of Sauvage over each spray of the Rossa) and thank me later (in the air the smell is captivating...compliments galore!) :-)
Shower with Kirks Hardwater Castile Fragrance Free. Great cleanse. Lathers for a good shave. Won't adulter cologne. Unscented moisturizer is best. Thanks.
Eh, I like to use the Brut body wash although I don't use it above my shoulders except for the back of my neck...which I typically use a small amount of toner and moisturizer on anyway. It's one of those '3 in 1' things that you can (supposedly) use in your hair and on your face, which of course I don't. I'm not going to use something on my face and hair that's formulated for your body, that's either stupid and/or lazy. There's a reason I buy a good shampoo with caffeine, niacinamide and salicylic acid in the ingredients and have actual facial cleansers (an oil based one followed by a water based one i.e double cleansing) as part of my skin care routine...which also includes things like toner, exfoliator, serums, moisturizer and sunscreen. If it isn't meant for your hair or face, don't put it there. Sorry but I had to get that off my chest...
Sir,can you make a video about classic colognes like kouros, jules Christian dior and polo classic Ralph lauren (green) add also aramis devin thank you.
hey Dallas, have you ever heard about the crystal deodorant? A French friend of mine told me about it and the reason why she uses that is because it's odorless so there are no extra smells added which is super great when one is wearing fragrances. that's what I personally have been using for over a year now. great video as always
Hey Dallas, good informative video, I would also like to add, before you go take a dump, do like Cuba Know (Angel) does, he sprays his balls, that's what he is getting ready to do when he says, is this a ball sprayer, yes or no, even his wife has said which colognes are ball sprayers on some of his videos, she should know. Alpha Mike Foxtrot, out.
NafYek, you want to use a fragrance along the same lines or at least one that has some of the same notes as La Nuit. I use 2-3 sprays of La Nuit and one spray of a vanilla scented cologne (Cremo Spice and Black Vanilla is mine, and it’s only $23). I get many compliments when I use those together.
If you have a very dry skin, use body cream or oil based lotion rather than body lotion. Body lotion has more water content so that means it has less moisturizing effect and whereas body cream or body oil has more oil to last longer on your skin that means they will keep your skin nice and moisturizer longer so that also means the fragrance will last longer as well. Now for the scent free lotion, body cream or oil, whichever you use, they also have some chemicals mixed together so the fragrance will inevitably react to it and it will give you a different scent. I personally I do enjoy scented body cream/lotion so but of course that will affect the scent I will be wearing that day. So I have different types of scent lotions & creams and depending on what I’m wearing that day, I keep switching to the one that goes well with that scent profile of the day. For example, if I’m wearing some fresh fougere type of fragrance, I wear lavender base lotion. If I’m wearing woody type fragrance, I go for either lavender or woody scent body lotion. And now this becomes a bit more complicated but I try to think what scent goes well with what and I figure out myself and kind of improvise in my head the scent “layering” ending effect. I often use rose or vanilla scent cream or lotion when I’m going to be wearing either sweet (vanilla, tonka, amber) or when I’m planning of wearing woody fragrance with sandal wood because sandal wood base fragrance goes well with rose and vanilla. So I actually believe “layering” fragrances is an art, opposite take from the guy or some guys, you just have to experiment well enough and have a good imagination as well to think what type of scents go well together with what. It is exactly like culinary art just on on your skin not on a pan, pot or on your plate. Eventually you will find your own art work and favourites mixtures. Your skin is a canvas and you are the artist/painter. 👩🎨 Just to share my own stuff, I have about 10 different body lotion, body cream and body oil to switch them around AND as well, I mix them together on my palm to mix them together before I smear on my skin and it’s a great new scent! It definitely works for me and I love doing that way so I’ve been doing it for years now. But I know it’s not for everybody, most people are much simpler than that in the bathroom. I also use deodorant that is ultimately works 100% to defeat the bad odour(B.O). Most of those deodorant products you buy from either the pharmacy or from the fragrance departments are mostly “cover up” and usually loaded with so many chemicals that are not necessarily healthy nor good for the environment. So what I’ve been using for decades now that I recommend to everyone is crystal salt. It looks just like white chunky salt rock and that works 100% to eliminate the B.O not only in your armpits but also guess where? STINKY FEET! Basically this “salt” will combat all those nasty bacterias gradually so the population of them diminishes and vanishes eventually. That means you will always have a fresh odourless not only armpits but also feet and your shoes won’t smell ever again! That miracle really happened to me when I started to use this amazing crystal salt deodorant! Just simply wet it and rub it on the skin after you come out of the shower. Only thing you need to be careful is it’s very fragile so be careful not to drop it on the bathroom floor otherwise it will shatter in pieces. 😭 That happened to me many times but even if that happens (and I know some of you will drop it) it won’t be the end of the world. You can still use some of those pieces of crystal deos just be careful not to cut yourself as the edge might be sharp. The edge will be dull eventually as you use it so not worry so much. But this crystal deo is definitely a must have stuff for everyone. I just wanted to also share with you guys. It’s around $5 to $8 and lasts for months. Just handle with care. 👍🏽✨😉
Hey man I really the effort that’s you put in your videos it helped me a lot in choosing which fragrance i will buy next and also exploring a different kinds of fragrances. I have an idea 💡 since you just mentioned layering how about a video talking about your favorite fragrance to layer with each other? Seams like a good idea for your next video
I recently purchased CK Eternity Summer 2020 because it was cheap and I loved how it smelled on the paper. I'm not wearing summer fragrances yet but I have worn it around the house to see how it does. I don't like the way it finishes, at least on me. It has a similar finish to Polo Red but I feel like the Polo Red finish is more balanced. Because they do have very similar finishes, I decided to wear them together. So far, so good! Yesterday, I sprayed them 1:1. Today I'm trying 2:1 (Red:Summer) and tomorrow I'll try 1:2. Mixing it with the Red (which I don't wear a whole lot of anymore) I think is going to let me salvage two bottles of fragrance that I would not have worn much of otherwise.
Not all need to wear/use Deodorant lol like me I never using it coz I don't need it even I get sweat I don't smell like (u know some people) smells bad their armpit hahahaha
😂 “wear deodorant” 😂 I don’t understand those guys who think they don’t need it when they’re trail smells like musky popcorn and shrimp 😂 old spice grasslands perfect scent and long lasting in the toughest sweat great performance
Asgar Khan, type in Hugo Boss Private Accord in the UA-cam search bar and you’ll get a bunch of reviews from different fragrance UA-camrs. Btw, it’s an incredible scent. Hope this helps.
Whoever made the fragrance blended individual materials to make the fragrance so I don’t see how mixing fragrances would rub people the wrong way sheesh be creative put some CDNIM in the oud wood 🤷♂️🤣
I use a great idea (definitely NOT mine lol): Put a little Aquafor, Vaseline, etc and rub on your PULSE POINTS, your wrists, behind your ears(not a pulse point, but it works GREAT, your neck, and even behind your knees, etc.) This will, without a doubt hold your scent MUCH LONGER, I PROMISE you...Do not EVER spray your wrists and rub them together, I know, I thought it sounded crazy too, but it will mess the order of how that scent is MADE to be smelled, so spray one wrist, and then spray the other one with your other hand...Last thing, keep your perfume/cologne in the refrigerator, it will last u MUCH LONGER!!!!
Wear deodorant... BLah, blah... Just say it. "WASH Your ASS"! Nothing can compensate for basic hygiene. Wash your clothing. Wear something twice, or maybe three times for short (low impact wears). Dirty clothes hold body odor worse than anything else.
1. Shower with a scent-free/low-scent bodywash
2. Moisturize
3. Spray your clothing
4. Go with more sprays
5. Wear deodorant
6. Wear the right scent for the right situation
7. Experiment with fragrance layering

Try the Prada LR Sport/Sauvage EDT combo (for night wear I do a spray of Sauvage over each spray of the Rossa) and thank me later (in the air the smell is captivating...compliments galore!) :-)
Thank you G
Great video young man.. keep up the great work
Excellent video and I am looking forward for your next video related to the layering techniques. Thank you
Shower with Kirks Hardwater Castile Fragrance Free. Great cleanse. Lathers for a good shave. Won't adulter cologne. Unscented moisturizer is best. Thanks.
Great info video and I enjoyed it and have a blessed night
A great definition of "that cologne guy": Not too many sprays, but too many sprays of a CHEAP FRAGRANCE.
hey Dallas, have you ever heard about the crystal deodorant? A French friend of mine told me about it and the reason why she uses that is because it's odorless so there are no extra smells added which is super great when one is wearing fragrances. that's what I personally have been using for over a year now. great video as always
Chrystal deodorants, however, white out on clothings, which looks awful. This is at least my experience with them. Well, and they don't work well.
Andreas Janke ohh I haven't had those issues at all. maybe it is just my skin chemistry that works well with them.
Alum stone? I used it along time ago.
Now, I just use Speed Stick aluminum free.
Dallas the type of zuniga to help you smell 10x better
Plz make a video on layering
Got TMF vibes from this video
Hey Dallas, good informative video, I would also like to add, before you go take a dump, do like Cuba Know (Angel) does, he sprays his balls, that's what he is getting ready to do when he says, is this a ball sprayer, yes or no, even his wife has said which colognes are ball sprayers on some of his videos, she should know. Alpha Mike Foxtrot, out.
Thanks good video and the best Reviews!
Hello. What do you layer with ysl la nuit de l'homme
1. Be good looking. All the fragrances you'll be wearing will pull compliments.
Just to share my own stuff, I have about 10 different body lotion, body cream and body oil to switch them around AND as well, I mix them together on my palm to mix them together before I smear on my skin and it’s a great new scent! 👍🏽✨😉
Nice tips Dallas. I'll try tip no.7
I use Nubian heritage soap ,Lemon grass for fresh frags and black seed and honey for my boozy and gourmand frAgs
How do I get fragrance to make my shower jel
Great video!! I'll definitely have to try Elysium and Aventus sometime. I didn't even think of that haha
Great vid.
But....how do you do 1 and a half sprays? 😑
Whats a half spray? Haha
lee scorpious, just don’t hit the sprayer as hard. Each atomizer is different and you’ll have to practice, but you can get “half” sprays.
Zara frags do need 10 sprays... almost all of them.
Not all need to wear/use Deodorant lol like me I never using it coz I don't need it even I get sweat I don't smell like (u know some people) smells bad their armpit hahahaha

Plzzz review hugo boss private accord
Asgar Khan, type in Hugo Boss Private Accord in the UA-cam search bar and you’ll get a bunch of reviews from different fragrance UA-camrs. Btw, it’s an incredible scent. Hope this helps.
@@johnwysocki2445 actually i want his take on that frag btw thanks fr ur help 😊😊
What about anti perspirant 🙃 deodorant only masks b/o anti perspirant blocks it
You are not layering. You are combining. :D
Hi Dad!!!!
Buy colognes made before 2000... before chemical bans in the cologne industry. Those colognes last but are now dated.
Dove don't work for me...NEXT..
Why not just only spray on your clothes? Honest question.
Whoever made the fragrance blended individual materials to make the fragrance so I don’t see how mixing fragrances would rub people the wrong way sheesh be creative put some CDNIM in the oud wood 🤷♂️🤣
My happy habit was taking fresh shower and applied azzaro chrome and everybody in next two hours asking me wow you smell great
Not using deodorant? No go😂
I use a great idea (definitely NOT mine lol): Put a little Aquafor, Vaseline, etc and rub on your PULSE POINTS, your wrists, behind your ears(not a pulse point, but it works GREAT, your neck, and even behind your knees, etc.) This will, without a doubt hold your scent MUCH LONGER, I PROMISE you...Do not EVER spray your wrists and rub them together, I know, I thought it sounded crazy too, but it will mess the order of how that scent is MADE to be smelled, so spray one wrist, and then spray the other one with your other hand...Last thing, keep your perfume/cologne in the refrigerator, it will last u MUCH LONGER!!!!
Refrigerator temperature changes in a way that isn't good for fragrances, not a good idea.
Research it bro...Ask this dude, I believe he’s mentioned this before
I do aventus and farenhight
Eww
A Factivity Presentation interesting , how does it smell together?
Pineapple and burning tires 😭

Wear deodorant... BLah, blah... Just say it. "WASH Your ASS"! Nothing can compensate for basic hygiene. Wash your clothing. Wear something twice, or maybe three times for short (low impact wears). Dirty clothes hold body odor worse than anything else.
