This stunningly beautiful. I love lanterns and will definitely make this if I can find the racetracks at my local Dollar Tree. Thanks for sharing, stay safe and stay blessed.🥰
Morning. I saw another project using race tracks, but I just came across yours, beautiful. I didn’t know whether I could paint the race tracks first and then glue them because I thought the glue wouldn’t stick but I guess it does. Thanks.
Yes, you can paint the race tracks but I would recommend an initial coat of primer first so the paint can stick to it. If you make one of these lanterns, have fun! 🙂
Question, what kind of glue and bottle do you have the glue in? I’m using E 6000 and sometimes gorilla glue, but it is so difficult to get the glue to come out once it dries and when it does come out it’s a wide stream, which I don’t like second question, I just found some glue sticks that are clear where my sticks I am using and all that I have found, when they dry they are milky, so are you using clear glue sticks? Thanks.
If memory serves me correctly, I used 2 types of glue. The first is Jot white glue from Dollar Tree -this dries clear and so far the nozzle has not clogged after multiple uses. The second is hot glue ... I use the smaller tip so the glue sticks are the mini sized ones ... They are clear and dry clear. You can order the same ones I use directly from my Amazon store here: amzn.to/44cBDn2 . Good luck!!! 🙂
Yes, my hot glue sticks dry clear. If you want to try the same ones I use, I have curated list of my favorite crafting tools on my Amazon store here: linktw.in/csFgwc

What size racetracks are you using?
The ones from Dollar Tree ... I think only one size there
