In Gorillaz’s early debut and demon days tours, Damon and the live band would stay behind the screen/ wall thingy while the fictional band members would be projected using holographic technology. It was quite advanced for its time.
David Hasselhoff (yes, him!) gave a performance (yes, a musical one!) in front of the Berlin Wall. Someone threw a molotov cocktail at him and he kept going. I like to think that his glorious abs are what brought the wall down.
That White Stripes show was when they toured every province and territory in Canada. They did so many live shows all over the place with like, an hours notice. Buses, boats, bowling alleys, random town squares. If you want to check it out it’s all in their concert/documentary “Under Great White Northern Lights”
One of my favorite concerts to ever happen has got to be the og post-hardcore band Fugazi playing in front of the White House in 1991. It was cold, BITTER cold. And it even rained multiple times. But the entire concert was completely free (which is on brand for them as all their other concerts in their entire history were always only $5 for entrance). The whole concert was put on to protest the first Gulf War, and it's just insanely epic. You should really watch the live footage of the concert.
I've only been to two real concerts in my life, but they were back to back nights of The Weeknd and then deadmau5, and they were both the first shows of their respective tours. An unforgettable couple of days.
This year i went to watch a band i am deeply connected to emotionally and i almost passed out when a specific song came up. I'm a manly man but i now understand what the girls that passed out when seeing The Beatles went through lmao
another banger like always, honestly having been at a feel local shows those are always awesome cause u get to hear cool ass music inside someone's basement which is fun
Just something I want to add to the topic of crazy encores. K-pop group SEVENTEEN has this tradition of ending their concerts with "Aju Nice Encore"s, which, similar to Kanye and Jay-Z, have the last chorus of their song (in this case, "Aju Nice"/"Very Nice") repeated over and over again. The craziest part is that even THEY don't see it coming - it just takes one mention of the song title for it to start up again. Someone mentioned that even the concert staff do this out of nowhere just to prank the group. I remember going to my first ever SEVENTEEN concert (which was actually a simultaneous live screening). By the time the Aju Nice Encore was finished, me and the people I was going with fell onto our seats, absolutely exhausted after a ton of repeats. How many times did they repeat "Aju Nice"? Damnit, I lost count.
I have only ever gone to one concert so far and it was easily one of the funnest experience of my life it was the September 21st 2022 Gorillaz concert in San Francisco and not only was the show hella fun they also premiered their song skinny ape there and had del the funky homosapian and a member of de la soul(sadly I don’t remember which) so they played a lot of their classics that night I also enjoyed the pre show from EARTHGANG and am now a fan of theirs too
the gorillaz cracker island shows were SO good!! hearing cracker island, skinny ape, and new gold live made it one of the best concerts i have ever been to
The Brian Jonestown massacre have a reputation of concerts involving violent arguments between band members, which sometimes would lead to actual fights.
along to add to this convo, we can't forget that one injury reserve show where ritchie just preformed in a box for a part of the show, and at the beginning of the show, there was tarp set up that everyone burst out of when "Oh Shit!!!" was playing. along with that, they did this crazy live version of "ttktv" where they distorted the hell out of the beat. and then it had this crazy, chopped-up dubstep like drop where Parker just started to punch the shit out of the monitors they had set up, and he ended up breaking his hand from that. (P.S. they continued to play that version of ttktv during live preformances)
Thank you for giving PopMart the love it deserves! Peak ironic-rock-star-era U2 in terms of aesthetic, and with a setlist way more balanced than Zoo TV - the filmed show in Mexico City is definitely worth a watch!
Admittedly I haven’t been to many concerts, only like two when I was younger. Pentatonix and Weird Al, both are like core memories for me. The details are foggy but I remember having a blast both times. Best part is, next year I’m gonna break the streak of not going to a concert to see Foo Fighters!! I’m really looking forward to that :D
13:51 Dave Grohl performing in random pizza joints is actually very common. This year he did a show in some random Southern Californian pizza place where he just sang cover songs.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but I'm pretty sure Motley Crue got the idea from Emerson Lake & Palmer, who had a revolving, upside down grand piano back in the 1970s.
my friend saw a korean pop group (seventeen) last year. they have this song they perform about nine to fifteen times. the song is very nice (아주 NICE) and it’s so funny to me how it’s so serious to fans and members
Also to add: Ye performed in public in Armenia and jumped with fans into a “lake” (don’t know what else to call it) And in the JIK era he also performed in a prison with his choir
I remember hearing a story from a coworker who went to a Marilyn Manson concert and witnessed someone performing the ol' in-out-in-out, and both were strangers no-relation, just bloody why not. . People are interesting. . .
travis scott did take the record from kanye and jay z on may 15 2017 performing goosebumps 14 times consecutively, then took it from himself on the 21st performing it 15 times
Rammstein in 2022 if you want to see live spectacle, Iggy Pop in the 70s destroyed himself on stage all the time and Pink Floyd at Live 8 was pretty special.
Every time I hear this dude's intro and the background music that usually follows, I'm always reminded that he too must've downloaded the same 9th Wonder instrumentals album that I did 😂
im here to bring up that death grips once had a show at a masonic temple in 2015 which was pretty neat :)) and they also didn't show up for a lollapalooza show in 2013 and put up a fan's self deletion note as the backdrop for it.
My first concert was to see Azealia Banks for my birthday, and I remember having a lot of fun there. My sister bought me a black hat that said “Broke with Expensive Taste” which is the name of her album and I get a lot of looks from it. I kinda regret not recording footage of it on my phone. I just recently saw Doja Cat and Ice Spice live. This was also the second concert I’ve been to. The crowd was going nuts every time Ice Spice was twerking. Doja Cat brought in a giant spider and a giant eyeball. There was these giant ribbons and I thought there was going be aerial dancers performing, but no, they were blocking parts of Doja’s performance. I had a blast though. Also, the dress code was supposed to be wedgies, and not a single person dawned the atomic super ultra mega wedgie.
2:35 when U2 appeared on The Simpsons for their 200th episode Trash of the Titans, they are performing on the PopMart stage, indicating that the PopMart tour had a fictional stop in Springfield
The best concert I've ever seen (not seen many) is Gwar when they where on there New Dark ages tour in 2022. the band already dress as aliens and run with that persona but during there shows they do skits bringing out people in costumes of celebrities and political figures "murdering" them on stage and spraying the crowed with fake Blood and sperm. Wicked experience.
So Much For (Tour)Dust the summer tour by Fall Out Boy is the best tour and concerts ever. The sets were amazing, the songs were awesome the visuals were amazing, the magic 8 ball part is fun and to hype up the fans the cover of We Didn't Start The Fire plays. The openers were amazing especially Bring Me The Horizon. I was in the Pine Knob concert and it was amazing
Everyone knows the 1969 and 1999 Woodstock but rarely do people talk about the muddy mess that was the 1994 Woodstock. Mostly instigated by Nine Inch Nails, there was a huge mud fight making everyone in the entire venue covered in "mud" which they later realized was coming from one of the public toilets iirc. The NIN show itself was just generally insane mostly due to the frontman Trent Reznor being a complete goblin and probably being drunk or high out of his mind. It's one of their worst shows music performance wise but also one of their best for the sheer spectactle.
I had the chance to play a show on top of a row truck bed in front of a body shop Very cool visually but all of us were slightly slanted forward making it difficult to play lol
If you happen to make kanye beats at anytime randomly i loved your beats from a few years back i would love to hear good night with Mos Def on The graduation album just if you ever get inspired to do it again dont forget my comment
travis scott did beat the kanye and jay z record a while ago, performing goosebumps 14 times in a row at a show, you can find it in youtube, so you were wrong lol, cool video though
What a privilege to be included, thanks for allowing me to crash your show Mr. Bites! Everybody go stream some Jimi Hendrix or something, idk
Yes Jimi Hendrix
your name could also be air bud prisoner (i'm sorry)
Wisdom man, 🤘

I love how yall actually had fluidity, it ain't like a disconnected chat, it was almost like y'all were in the same place

not to forget old tyler the creator/odd future shows being the craziest shows to ever attend in the 2012
The fact that Wacken was not even mentioned once is crazy

Fugazi are the fuckin best

Shoutout to all the underappreciated opening acts that complete the live show experience.
you deserve more views and subs, this is one of the only high effort quality animation bein made
Funny fact about Motley Crüe, there was at least one instance where Tommy Lee was stuck in the air. On his drum kit.
The Brian Jonestown massacre have a reputation of concerts involving violent arguments between band members, which sometimes would lead to actual fights.
> "insane live shows" video
> zero mention of hanatarash driving a bulldozer through a venue

This is one of my favorite music channels. I always look forward to new vids from you.
All I’m gonna say is there’s a band called The Dillinger Escape Plan. Look up a live performance from them.
Hendrix used guitar to make war sfx to protest war, and now tiktokers are making moaning, full circle moment

Great dynamic the two of you have, and always quality video mr. Bytes
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but I'm pretty sure Motley Crue got the idea from Emerson Lake & Palmer, who had a revolving, upside down grand piano back in the 1970s.
happy new year mr.bites
My first concert was Weird Al in 2013. It’s all been downhill from there…
@onlysmallbites Grinding Monster Carnival when MJ died is such a vibe. Right there with you.
Astroworld looking guilty rn 😬

Hell of a collab man,loved the vid👍
Never knew that one regular show episode where benson plays the drums for his old band was a reference to Tommy Lee. That’s crazy.
Every time I hear this dude's intro and the background music that usually follows, I'm always reminded that he too must've downloaded the same 9th Wonder instrumentals album that I did 😂

No stage show will ever be as crazy as W. A. S. P. during the KFD era
I remember seeing the 2019 Iron Maiden tour, greatest show ive seen.
Nah imagine back then that one guy during the first moonwalk was like "ehh that was mid lol" and getting jumped by a thousand crazed fans. LMAO
W feature subscribing to ruff right now
Man, you can't talk about the craziest live shows without Hanatarash and the bulldozer.
0:34 frank ocean reference
