This movie gets a lot of hate, but I remember the score always being just very fitting and overall well-composed, it really set the mood even back then when I was too young to really comprehend movie logic
I think they hated it because the first Cars was what they liked and when they saw this movie, turning into a spy movie and changing the main character, those viewers were probably like What the hell just happened? Basically, they just switched perspectives of the two movies which could be why they hated it.
The nostalgia is coming back. Personally for me, 0:26 - 1:32 is the most underrated part of the track. The use of the synth here in 1:20 is so god damn good.
I like the way at 4:50 they start the main part of the theme and Finn mcmissile starts killing the lemons while lighting McQueen and Francesco race and all finish at the same time at the end

0:47 Lightning McQueen is the first to take advantage! (that’s when he makes the sliding turn on dirt that Hud showed him and that helped him slide into the lead. Makes me recall the quote “If you give it too much throttle, you’re outta the dirt and into the tulips.”)
