I used to think I was monotone after 50 years. But WOW after watching your tutorial I'm just a beginner. I'll re-watch this many times. Thank you.

Jim Thanks for another great video.
I don't think this is ice. I think it is sand and a longer exposure maybe near Rialto Beach on the Pacific Ocean at low tide.

Nice video. I'm surprised that island is still visible on the right edge of the horizon as it keeps grabbing my attention! I would have either cloned it out or slightly cropped it. It is a super final image.

New to your you tube " great tips! So grateful for your generous video!
Question :Sometimes you place the B&W adjustment layer BELOW the gradient: I can not wrap my head around why sometime placed above or below the gradient adjustment??

very nice tuto ! even if already shown, very useful to see how you use zse with LM dark and move the mask on curve
i still have difficulties to understand why we add stop and move diamonds in gradient map for black and white. up to now i add gradient map and leave it untouched

Marc Labro the Diamonds restrict the amendment of the tones beneath or above. It means you can adjust ranges without impacting for example Dark Blacks or Light Whites.
