Bonafide may soon overtake Oldtown into second place in making the best fishing Kayaks behind the Hobie PA. The PWR129 in particular is such a well designed and built boat.
I'm looking forward to seeing a video from you with the pwr in the river. I'm currently paddling a Shoalie but I also want to something with spotlock to fish bigger rivers and lakes. While I know it's not an rvr119, the hull looks very similar. The smallmouth rivers I fish in NC and southwest Va are sometimes a little bony and I'm curious how the pwr129 would handle that. Thanks for the thorough review.
Love the vid brother. I'm planning to film mine tomorrow, I needed to put some hours in it and get my changes leveled out. Question - how are you carrying your net? This has been the biggest hang up for me gear wise making the change from the PA14. I plan to discuss why in my video but I'm curious how you are storing yours for use, especially if you are doing it different for us vs when you are underway.
@@thebeardedpaddler Mine was catching on the bowinkle when laid on the hatch (this was how i did it on the PA) and my rod holders are usually full. I ended up using a double header but then the net is in the water. Friday I forgot to snap the double header bungees and lost it while underway. By the time I noticed it was floating somewhere that I could not locate it. I'm playing with some different ideas today.
@@thebeardedpaddler I want purchase a kayak, I already got nucanoe unlimited, I want to get some recommendations between titan x12.5 and pwr 129. Thank you so much
@@MsSam128 are you running a motor? And are you wanting a pedal drive? Very different kayaks. Biggest difference is the pedal drive in the Titan X and the weight between the 2
Thanks for sharing another great kayak, another great choice, and another hard decision! Tight lines and take care! Is it true that Native is coming out with a larger can longer new kayak?
Friends dont let friends buy bonafide ESPECIALLY with their deceptive capacity ratings. Even if they change that, ill likely never buy another one because of being burned by it. Nice video as always.
I agree! I found it sad that this kayak is so large yet the deck is pretty wet. The ss127 was drier even though it is shorter and narrower. Also I have long legs so the foot control rudder is useless to me because I have the foot pegs maxed out
I thought this was gonna be my next kayak but after I test paddled it I was not impressed at all. I have long legs so I cannot use the foot control steering because the foot pegs do not extend out far enough to use comfortably. Also the deck was too wet for my liking, I believe the 500 capacity is not truthful. It also paddled like a barge compared to the Coosa x I ended up buying
@@thebeardedpaddler I got to meet Larry the co-owner of OMTC. He showed me the new PWR at the Ozark store. Really interested in upgrading one of my SS127’s.

Yes it is!
Well I love my pwr 129 and going to enjoy rigging it out gradually over time. Another great vid!
Nice! Good luck and thanks for watching
🔥 Set up! Really digging the bow mounted motor. That top speed is ridiculous! I max out 4 mph!
Kayak is definitely efficient

Just need some water here. It's been a very dry summer
Great video and looks like a beautiful day!! Have a good day and week.

I carry mine in one of the rod holders on the Blackpak Pro. I also put it on top of the front hatch on top of the Ketch board also

Great video.... what max speed do you get Andy from the Xi3 on it?
I've gotten over 6 on a calm day.
Thanks for sharing another great kayak, another great choice, and another hard decision! Tight lines and take care! Is it true that Native is coming out with a larger can longer new kayak?
Not that I've heard
Solid video!
I try lol
I’m so in between so many kayaks right now, if you could only have 1 kayak for all situations what are you picking ?
Pwr129
Nice rig! I “climb” out on my Unlimited to deploy/retract my Xi3. I find it simple and quick. But I’m weird.
Not weird lol
Nice yak!! What is our opinion on best way to sell your older kayak?
Some paddleshops do trade ins. I always suggest to sell things separately if you have fish finders, motors, other gear, etc.
My next boat!!
Its been a great one for me so far
Each to their own. I like the Nucanoe Unlimited better. It's open and the rigging possibilities are unlimited.
Nothing wrong with the Unlimited, I've owned one. I will say that the speed and efficiency with the PWR129 is unmatched
@@thebeardedpaddler Agreed. Wonder if there’s a delete kit for the pod? That would make it more attractive for me. Open deck is what I need.

None that I'm aware of. They wouldn't be announcing that yet. ICAST may be very interesting this year though for new product
