- Nier Automata is one of my favorite games of all time, with my favorite OST of all time. This video will go into exactly why and how it achieves that title.

Normally in my videos I have the ending stuff talking about channel and things, but I thought this ended perfectly so I'm gonna include that stuff here.
This video took WAY longer than it should of, and it's mainly because of laziness and Monster Hunter World. My next video should be out in a shorter amount of time than this, but I can't promise nothing.
What I CAN promise though, is that the channel MrClemps is who I'm gonna shill today. Yeah he's a much bigger channel than mine, but whatever. He makes Nier analysis, Drakengard Analysis, and random JRPG videos. Fun fact, my Gitaroo Man video and the structure of that, was HEAVILY inspired by his videos. Another beautiful essay, per usual. I hope your message gets received by many other players, who struggled through Ending E.
It doesn't matter how many times I hear Weight of the World, I always get chills and watery eyes. Something about that song in particular sticks with you. Even though I only understood the English part, you can tell in the other languages that they're all singing about the same thing: hope despite despair. And when those La's kick in? I get CHILLS. EVERY. TIME. The La's are the most important part of the song: everyone coming together under the same banner of hope. It's highlighted by the lines in the song that says they're going to "shout it loud, even if our words sound meaningless." The words DO sound meaningless, but those who went on that journey through NieR and NieR: Automata know that there is a deep meaning behind those words.
All in all, Weight of the World will and should go down in history, at least for me, as one of the most impactful and meaningful songs ever written.

Amazing video. I alway love seeing someone genuinely appreciating the Nier series!!! Edit: Adding that Emil's storyline flows with his track very well, and it's just a devastating story.

With ending E you're literally "killing" the representation of the staff to get to your good ending and yet they still sing on the chorus, they still cheer you on. That was such an amazing moment. I am crying again just thinking about it.
Also: Amazing video, you really managed to put the reason Nier has such an amazing soundtrack into words.
The nier automata soundtrack is fr so good... the Replicant one as well. I, to this day, almost and sometimes do start crying hearing them. I even bought the Vinyl collectors box for them
It’s my favorite video game, and likely my favorite art piece I’ve ever experienced, nier automata. And it is ABSOLUTELY in large part due to the mastery that keiichi okabe and his studio displayed when they worked with yoko taro on this masterpiece.

So there is people like that...
The very fact that at the ending E all those players who can help you have sacrificed their save's, in order just to help a random person out there makes this moment much more greater,and only makes you realise after you do it yourself,a bit of a shame that you didn't mention it in the video.
But it was great nonetheless,you deserve a lot much more attention and subscribers.
This was the only game i've beaten which i didn't archive a copy of the save file, i actually did 100% two times just to archive a save file before i uninstalled it. (Yes, i do keep 100% saves from all the games i've beaten, it's like my little trophy collection)
This video should have more views.

I've played a few and listened to alot of music in JRPG/RPGs and honestly the Nier franchise to me has such a unique tone and sound, it's one of the reasons why it's one of my favourite games. When she said that I was trying not to be rude but yes HEATHEN

NieR Automata is so fucking good and i love it so much that i watched through the english voice actor of 9S (Kyle... something) play through the original NieR just so that i could enjoy NieR Automata even more

Played the shit out of automata and playing through my 2nd run of nier. Can honestly say played nothing like it and automata is one of the best games I've ever played.

The nier games are among my favorite too. Although I have not played the first one and did not get a third of the way into the 2nd one. >.> I do happen to LOVE drakengard. ... I have a love hate relationship with the 2nd game not being dark enough and the 3rd game I found to try too hard to be the dark like the first one. But the 3rd game still rocks... although again I have not played that one. o_o'
Well, for Drakengard 2, Yoko Taro was left out from the development completely, so maybe that's why
What about the Devil May Cry series?
WAY better gameplay than NieR, but I like this game more for different reasons. Trust me though, I LOVE me some Devil May Cry.

And another 8 tracks designed to burn your heart and turn your soul into a emotional wasteland after realising what you've done. I love Automata with all my heart, but it's just not out here to emotionally destroy us as the OG did.
You know if I could take back one thing about this video, it would be me saying that Automata's OST is straight up better that NieR's OST. While I still think Weight of the World is the best ever, I think both soundtracks are equal in quality. I can't choose one over the other honestly.
