In India we don't get kafir lime leaves or galangal. Instead of lemongrass stalk, we get the leaves. Are there any substitutes for the original ingredients? I loveeee Thai food, but want to cook it with easy to find ingredients!

If the curry paste has the "Thai trinity" in it, can I use it to make This chicken broth? We are in a very rural area with the nearest Asian grocery market being a 3 hour round trip away. I can grow lemongrass, but not sure on the others

That was so informative and doable (in time) Thank you so much!!!!! Great chef and great and entertaining teacher, I'm vegan but I think I can kinda Veganize these recipes at least for the most part. I'm going to try anyway, lol!!!! I'm going to subscribe and I'll be looking at your other videos to see what else I can learn, again, thank you!!!! Maybe you will do a vegan series????!!!! Going vegan or even cutting down on your animal use would help the Earth/ climate change and the precious animals, how about ones random act of kindness be either going vegan or eat vegan for a day or twice a week or whatever you would commit to doing?!?!?!?! 🌎🙏🏼🔥🌊🌪❄️😷💞🐣🐷🐮🐰🐟🦆Each person does make a difference truly.
Much love to all beings and our Sacred Earth🌎🙏🏼💞

Honestly this is one of The Best Videos I have found on Thai cooking. I am so thankful to you for making this. When you understand the structure and the building blocks, the process and food makes so much more sense. Please make more videos like this. Side note: if you could make a video on garlic chicken (garlic pepper chicken. It has different names) [I know it has cabbage, carrot, broccoli, cilantro and crispy garlic on it. I just don’t know the sauce and ratios] thanks! Kevin

Damn, Jet, I was such a HUGE fan of yours... can't believe you support Trump. That is a Black Rifle Coffee Company shirt, right? I mean go ahead and say you just like the company, but they are one of his biggest supporters AND donors of Trump. I always figured you'd be a supporter of things like science, healthcare, and BLM, but clearly you aren't since you're showing support for Trump companies. Hey it's a free country, just very surprised and disappointed to see this.

    Hai chef Jet Tila ,
I love the way you explain how to cook Thai food ( my favorite kitchen ) .
I can see you’re a real chef but also a great teacher who keeps the attention of his students!
    Wow what a gift !
Today I saw how you made satay en two soups .
This was for me the moment that I became one of your followers !
I only have one question about the Tom Kha Kai : I miss some kind of mushroom and what I sometimes see is pieces of tomato!
Are this ingredients that are not original or is it what ever toy like to add extra and is yours just the basic !
Anyway thanks for your great vids ,
    A guy from holland 😊 👍

just like Racheal Ray everything from jar and can. he already has the ingredients what dont just make Thai curry paste from those ingredients
you also can use unsalted roasted peanut from the jar then ground it instead peanut butter too much salt and sugar and too smooth , its not for sate sauce for sure.need to show people proper way chef, how to cook Asian food.

Iive in the netherlands, we have sea, fresh water and a lot of agriculture, but the dishes we make er pretty disgusting. basically all our recepy are boiled potatoes, with a boiled vegetable. or we just put potatoes and the vegetables in 1 pot and then when its cooked we mash everything together. that are basically all our dishes in a nutshell. we dont use any herbs and spices, its salt and pepper and thats it.
