In this episode I show the process of cleaning all the hardware and plastics. I also freshen up the seat and repaint the seat pan, battery box, and a few other bits.
When you can't loosen a Phillips screw with a screwdriver, then you just take a small center. Punch set it in those dimples and anglet backwards. Tap on it till it comes loose.
Bro, can you answer a question for me? What is that patch/pouch in the middle of the underside of the seat? Until you removed it, I had no idea that patch/pouch was even there!
Hello, thanks for watching! That is the registration holder. There’s a plastic “lid” that holds paperwork, and the vinyl material is just the backing, kind of making it plush. 👍🏻
Great videos in this series. keep them coming!
Thanks John! 💪👍🏻
Love your videos! Evaporust is even more of a miracle when you put it in your US cleaner. Day's turn to minutes. ;)
Thanks, that sounds amazing👍🏻💪
I've never seen the 'x' on a screw, before. Very familiar with the JIS screws and the dot on them. Nice video.
Thanks Steve💪
Very theraputic watching the transformation! Nice job!
Thanks man, I’m glad you liked it👍🏻
Nice

Ah ha! Brilliant! Thanks for sharing, I figured the dimples meant something
Hi, loved watching this restoration. Will any mineral oil work in reconditioning the seat?
Thanks for watching! I’d imagine any mineral oil would work. Good luck👍🏻
Stumbled on this. I have a '78 and '71 and am currently doing a '75. You can reuse Evaporust, no? I have never seen the X and O on bolts before!
Thanks for watching. Yes, you can reuse Evaporust a few times👍🏻
