that is nice to see it go over to shady pines RR ! it will be a great addition to his switch back railroad. great job getting it painted with out hurting your self. I personally like the paint can holders with the large triggers! did a set of bilco doors w/o one and boy did my finger hurt for a week! great job Aaron.
If you visit his website he does build these . I’m in the process of building a loco my self. Just having a hard time sourcing wheels close enough to my area where shipping and boarder duty fees don’t push the costs up through the roof . I don’t have a lathe or access to one so cast blanks are a no go for me .
Looks great. Haven't heard from Shady Pines Tony or Banta model works Bill's woodland railroad (sorry forgot the name) for quite a while Hope they're all doing well with their railroads progressing.
I hope to cover both railroads a little bit more this fall. There is a lot of track work to do at the Stoddard Hill Farm Railway, and Shady Pines is basically complete.
Aaron you should really use a respirator when spraying. Even in a spray booth, it doesn’t get rid of it fast enough. Looks good in the new paint job. Does that mean that there will be a new replacement for Millbrook soon?
@@kendallc8807 There will be a replacement soon. ...and I really do need a respirator for painting. I've been holding my breath while spraying, but it's not really enough.
At least 1k, from what I last saw listed on the website. It's a pretty high bar for entry, but if you already have a house with a large enough yard for this, it's probably not an impossible bar to reach.
@william_k4arx Shady Pines needed a workhorse, and I have been building locomotives for people for a couple years now. 71 spent most of last summer at the Shady Pines last year, and he liked it so much that he ordered one.
Dyslexia family ? 71 to 17 72 to 27 ???? 71 and 17 are prime numbers that can only being divide by themself, not the case with 72 or 27. So next one to keep tradition alive can be 73 to 37 ? Who knows....? Nice job. I´ve may be breath too much paint fumes.....😅😅😅😅

It's good to see that 71 is going to a good home.

Hey, I was just wondering how much would one of these types of things cost? cause I’ve been thinking of building a backyard railroad

@@VelociraptorsOfSkyrimpoor fella,
From what ive seen, 5-6k for a full starting railroad
@@alazygamer1032 Admittedly, I presumed he was asking for an Engine specifically.
@@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim ooooh
Cheapest ive found is 2k, but they go up to 33k if your willing to burn money
But 2-3k will be good for the engine

Will the Shady Pines #17 get a builder’s plate on its sill like the Millbrook #70 has?
@@bryanporter7545 It has one. I just need to install it.
