Hey @WhosImmortal I have an idea for a video for you, and it's a simple question I have, having come over from other shooters. Why are you calling ranked play ranked, it's just pubs with extra steps. It uses the same EOMM from pubs, and the ranks are based on time played more than overall skill because of that EOMM. What's my proof? The lack of placement matches, the overall time to rank up, the lack of a full reset, and the overall feel. First, the lack of placement matches. In a traditional Ranked mode, these are uses to test your general skill level, then put you in a bracket against equally skilled opponents, think Apex legends ranked arena, or CS2, or even Overwatch. These then put you in a skill bracket with equally skilled foes, usually bronze, Silver, Gold, then their special ones. Cod just puts most people down one rank during rank reset. Higher ranks get pushed back further. This isn't how ranked works, ranked modes reset everyone and have you do those placement matches again, as this leads players to know where they stand at the beginning of a season, so they can track their growth. If it was a true ranked mode, you could reset everyone to bronze if you didn't have placement matches, and people of high skill would be at Platinum is one, maybe two days. Instead, they knock you back a little and say "Do it again. It's favoring play time over improvement until the higher ranks that are less populated, that's where skill expression shines. As for the overall feel, it's 4v4 with the same hidden EOMM, but a few weapon classes locked. Some ranked modes slightly change gameplay, but this just feels like they're taking the complaints from cod league teams and using that for ranked. So, is it played for the rewards, or is there something I'm missing?
My two work friends and I are forced to play big map quads or resurgence quads if we don’t want to sweat out ranked. Problem is squad fill is broken and doesn’t give us a random 4th. So we are constantly in a 3v4 situations. Makes matches unfair and not fun. We used to play for hours after work now it’s just a few matches and we are done with the game. They really dropped the ball and gave up on this game.
Appreciate the update. I'll be done with Warzone when B06 launches until the integration. Basically, I don't want to practice a game that I won't be playing anymore so if I have the time to play COD I'll play B06 MP to work on my movement, grind some camos, and work on leveling up meta guns. I understand warzone streamers will be playing to the bitter end but I just don't have the motivation to play or watch a previous title when the new one comes out. :). I understand the integration is a lot of work for Activision but I do think it would be a big benefit to them and the players if they launched in all core modes including Warzone at the same time. Will we even be able to play WZ/BO6 before the end of the year? My guess is this will be a nice little break for me as I really can't grind MP like I can WZ. it just gets boring fast.
They shoot themselves in the foot and the community has to tend to their wounds, I think it's a bad move neglecting WZ like this until the end of the year, force-feeding BO6 is the only way they can maintain stable player counts, lol. Bo6 isn't going to do great. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Meaning that it is no longer fun to play. Stale metas. An abundance of cheaters. No map updates. Lackluster battlepass'. Broken/nonfunctioning anti cheat. Strict sbmm. The gulag hasn't changed in forever. I honestly think the devs don't care any longer. It feels like it's just a cash grab now
