I just got mine yesterday from Amazon, the blue edition. I'm loving it!! I think one thing that was worrying me was that once I purchased it, I thought to myself, "Wait, can I lock the loop, so that I can use the FX at the same time, and vice versa?" The answer is yes! I've always felt I have adult onset ADD, so I have to really concentrate and focus on being quick to do it. But it's definitely doable. And for the release of it all. I release the loop in the app, so that I have a smoother transition. Again, ADD, so I work with how I am Lol But I'm definitely happy I bought it. PS: I'm using it on my Samsung Galaxy S22. So Android OS. On the transition, when I use the filter turning it clock wise, it messes with the pitch of the next song I'm transitioning to. It's a quick fix though, by decreasing the volume/ fader knob of the first song. Also the mapping of the loop is a little tricky. 2 beat loop is shift+4 and 1 beat loop is pad one. I don't know if it's because I'm using android, but I expected a glitch or two and maybe misplacements of some functions, since most mobile dj apps are created for IOS, but they're all definitely workable. It's a gem overall no doubt, and my girlfriend complimented me on my progress. I started with DDJ 200 but when my Samsung updated a few months ago, WeDJ was no longer communicating with the controller with the exception of the cue points. So I switched to using Djay, and been practicing since with it. However, I wanted the controller so that I can do most of the mixing without having to go the the app as much. That's when I decided to check other options of controllers compatible with Djay Android and here we are now. I'm loving it :)
@@prouddaddyofdos Can we connect and output to bluetooth speaker while connecting the headphone through the splitter cable, ie not connecting the speaker through the splitter cable?
On iOS I can't seem to get the jog wheel to work to nudge the track. The top touch point works to stop (and 'scratch') but the side of the platter doesn't seem to do anything :(
I don't know if I missed it but you didn't talk about latency issues. especially thru bluetooth speakers and midi bluetooth. when I connect both I actually lose control in the jog wheels. and then the sound is way off by at least a second. could it be I have a bad controller? hercules bluetooth?
I got one yesterday, and running on ipad pro and using AirPlay the latency is really bad; I'd say unusable. No latency issues when using the built in ipad speakers, so I just bought some extra cables and will be trying via the provide headphone/mains splitter that was provided with the controller.
Hey DJ LiftOFF, question. What cable/wire connections can I use to connect the Hercules to my MacBook Pro? It obviously doesn't have the traditional USB slot. Thanks for your reply!!
I dj with my Hercules connected to my phone bluetooth mode for 7 hours straight but out the 7 hours the dj app shut off 6 times, can & is there any way to stop that threw your expertise???
@@TwinCitiesOxygen "Yes" i did when, when you use the djay app connected to the Hercules don't use the turntable's record sitting, its only good for a short period of time,, Put the djay app turntables on go to your left side turntable press the record graph chart bar & dj of your graph chart, the app will never shut off again in this mode, plus learning the graph you will use very little ear phones.
@@miguelortiz7658 also I found. Sometimes the music in djay would stop playing those the records were turning. Another issue was the Vinyl/scratch function wouldn’t work or turn off the light when I pushed it once
Controller is awesome, app for Android is not. For better mixing waveforms should be horizontal, not vertical. That would be huge improvement. I have it from yesterday but did some nice mixing already. Fix the app on Android and it would be awesome.
Tried and returned.... Lot of problem for powering the controller, if the power bank is powerful the controller loose connection with the app, Buttons are too hard and they make lot of noise (click)... The app for android sucks... No chance to find you music folder and sub folders, no way to sort by bpm, can't create playlist... Can't export hot cue to an other phone

@@michalbezel You can connect it to DJUCED but it's not compatible with other DJ softwares! If you rather get a controller that works with a laptop and say, Serato, we recommend the Starlight. You can still follow along some of the techniques here as the controls on the decks are the same!
Great Video. This little mixer is pretty powerful. I'm glad I found it. I was starting to doubt my purchase.
So thankful to have caught this! Stocking stuffer like no other!

Wanna buy this for my 11 year old son. Hope he’s going to like this as a beginner. Its looks confusing by seeing what you are doing 😅
How do you use the headphone pre listen cue?
what does the 'cue master' button on top of the first deck do?
What does the sync button do ? New to this lol

Hello! No, the DJControl Mix is not compatible with Rekordbox or Serato, but it works with djay by Algoriddim!

Don’t wast your money on this, it’s glitchy and the hardware/app freezes too often.
